Jungkook was a cold person in general. He didn't know how to show forth his feelings. His dad had been very strict with him growing up. He did his best to make his dad proud of him. His mom had passed away due to cancer when he was a kid and his dad has been heartless ever since then.

Jungkook met Jimin in college. Jimin was part of the welcome committee, welcoming and guiding the new students. Jimin found Jungkook intriguing. The cold exterior Jungkook had, the way it looked like he hated people and didn't need anyone or love, Jimin knew it was a facade, he knew Jungkook was craving love too like anyone else. Jimin slowly breaks the boy's barriers, the wall Jungkook had built up. Jungkook learns to love and accept love given to him.

Jungkook actually asked Jimin out due to his jealousy. He thought he was special for Jimin, seeing that the boy always was with him but he soon noticed that Jimin was clingy in nature and with everyone close to him and just like the boy had helped Jungkook, Jimin helped others too. Jimin was kind like that.

"I don't want you to go" Jungkook states coldly when Jimin receives a message from Taehyung

"Why.. he is my best friend.. he needs my help with something" Jimin pouts

The two always hang out whenever they had some free time

"Then I'm coming with you" Jungkook stands up as well when he sees Jimin get up

"I dont think it's a good idea..."

"Why not!?" Jungkook's voice reflected his anger

"He might get scared of you... you look scary"

Jungkook rolls his eyes "...I'm coming!"

Taehyung rolls his eyes seeing the two walk into the Cafe.

"Did you really have to bring him along? You don't hang out with me this much..."

"I invited myself! I will go with Jimin when I feel like it! Who are you to say otherwise!"

"Okay! Enough!" Jimin says afraid a fight might ensue

After a long while, Jungkook excuses himself to the bathroom and when he returns his heart beats faster as anger courses through his veins

Taehyung was cupping Jimin's tiny hands and looking at the boy with love

"....I love you... a lot... will you go out with me?"

And before Jimin could answer

"Sorry,but he is mine!" Jungkook says joining them and pulling Jimin's hands away from Taehyung

"Huh?!" The other two are confused

Jungkook's eyes reflect the love and desperation he felt for Jimin as the man looks into his senior's eyes "You will be mine right? Will you be my boyfriend Jimin?"

Jimin smiles, his eyes disappearing making Jungkook's heart stop.

Why? Why is he so cute?

"I would love to... I love you Jungkookie" Jimin hugs the man and Jungkook could feel so many emotions going on inside him that he is frozen and relieved at the same time

Their interaction is interrupted by Taehyung's groans

"How did me rehearsing my confession end up with you getting a boyfriend?!"

"What?" Jungkook is confused

Jimin giggles "Tae was practicing his confession for his crush..."

"Ah... so he wasn't proposing to you?" Jungkook is embarrassed

"No silly... he is my soulmate that's it" Jimin giggles

Jungkook pouts "...I thought I would be your soulmate"

Jimin giggles as he pinches the man's cheek slightly

"You are so adorable! Look Taehyung, my boyfriend is so cute!" Jimin hugs the man and Jungkook felt proud

Taehyung rolls his eyes before excusing himself to the bathroom

Jungkook smiles as he cups the boy's face "...I love you too Jimin"

The two have been dating for 2 years now, living together for about 8 months currently.

They gave each other reasons to love themselves and the other. Jungkook was still cold to everyone else, a bit sweeter and protective towards Jimin. Jungkook had been that way from when he was 10 years old, it would be hard to change himself completely so soon but Jimin was changing him, for the better

The honeymoon phase of when they first started living together soon ended after Jungkook had to start working longer hours in his uncle's agency.

Jungkook was still a junior there and had to overwork himself to impress both his uncle, his dad and also his annoying cousins

Tonight would actually mark their 2nd year together as a couple. Though they both didn't really celebrate it as such, Jimin liked to cook a huge meal with Jungkook's favorites and that's exactly what he did. Jungkook had promised to come home earlier to celebrate their 2 year anniversary but ended up getting stuck at work. His phone had died and he was so engorged in his work that he forgot about his promise

Jimin had been worried sick about his boyfriend. He knew Jungkook had a lot of work stress but he genuinely hoped and believed that today the man would spend some time with him. Jimin had taken a day off from work today to prepare the meals and dessert that took a bit of a time to prepare. Also, he wanted to give himself to Jungkook tonight.

Jungkook on the other hand wanted to make Jimin his, officially. He planned to propose to Jimin on the boy's birthday that was coming up in 3 months. He had been shopping for rings and the one he saw which he knew Jimin would love would cost him his entire 2 months of salary and for that he needed to suck up to and kiss the asses of his cousins if need be.

Jungkook was mad and tired when he came home. He just wanted to wash away his failures and then cuddle Jimin to sleep. His cousins insulted him and rejected his ideas, his uncle supported his son in that. That meant he wouldn't be able to get the promotion and that would mean he needed to save a bit more money to get Jimin that ring, maybe he wouldn't be able to propose on Jimin's birthday. He was definitely disappointed with himself

When Jungkook went into the apartment, his heart broke. Jimin looked so tired as he slept on the dining room table. Jungkook could see the various meals, his favorites on the table as well.

I forgot about the anniversary.

Jungkook gasps in disappointment

Jimin wakes up

"I'm sorry honey. I totally forgot about..." Jungkook says and Jimin is upset

"One day Jungkook! Just one day I asked you to give me! It's our anniversary and I wanted to spend it with you..." Jimin's voice cracks as his voice raises

It was the first time Jungkook saw Jimin upset and yell at him

"I'm sorry I didn't mean..." Jungkook is also tired and the headache from earlier started coming again

"How many times should I understand you Jungkook? I have a heart too. When will you understand me?" Jimin's eyes tear up and Jungkook gets angry at that. He hated tears in the boy's eyes. It hurt him but still his cold nature wouldn't allow him to take sole responsibility

"Jimin I wasn't playing at work! I have responsibilities! I work my ass off trying to impress people who I hate and what do I get... rejection! All my time and efforts..wasted!... I know I made a mistake but please! For goodness sake, stop blaming me! I didn't ask you to prepare anything! I don't want this! I came home to see my loving boyfriend and this is what I get huh?!"

Jimin calms down a bit. He knows how hard the man had worked for this. He goes to Jungkook

"It's okay. Let's forget this ever happened and enjoy our dinner okay?" Jimin smiles sweetly and it hurts Jungkook again

"I don't want to eat!" Jungkook says coldly. He was clearly disappointed in himself

"Jungkook please.. " Jimin grabs the man's hand and Jungkook accidentally yanks Jimin off him too hard, that the boy falls backwards and bumps his back against the table, making Jimin let out a painful groan

Jungkook's eyes widen, he didn't realise he had pushed Jimin away that hard

"J-Jimin..."

Jimin bites his lips to control his tears. He couldn't be in the same room as Jungkook now.

"I have to go..." Jimin walks out of the apartment

Jungkook falls onto the couch, upset.

What have I done?

Jungkook immediately goes out to find Jimin but he couldn't find him. Jungkook could feel his world fall down. He was anxious, he panics and rushes back home to charge his phone and then he keeps calling Jimin

If anything happens to you, I will never forgive myself. Please be safe, love. Please be safe. Please answer the phone. I promise I will never hurt you again

Jimin finally answers his phone in 4th call

"Hello..."

"Jimin!" Jungkook holds his chest, breathing heavily "...oh thank God! Are you okay?! I'm so..."

Jimin interrupts the man as he speaks softly "Honey... it's okay... I'm walking around the neighborhood... don't worry... I just need some time for myself... I forgive you... there is food on the table... I'm not hungry anymore..."

"Jimin please come home..." Jungkook's voice is close to tears "...or tell me where you are.. I will come to you..."

Jimin sighs ".. please... just eat the food honey... for me... I cooked it especially for you..."

"I can't eat without you..." Jungkook bites his lips as he controls his tears

"If you love me... you will...please" Jimin cuts the call and Jungkook let out a loud sob

He slowly wiped his tears after a few minutes. He had to eat, his baby asked him to

Jimin comes back after a while

Jungkook had his eyes closed as he rested his head on the couch, his phone to his chest

"Jimin!" Jungkook runs to the boy

"How was the food?" Jimin asks and Jungkook hugs the boy

"I'm sorry..." Jungkook sobs

".... sorry? So you didn't like the food?" Jimin pouts

Jungkook pulls away upset "...how can you joke about this?"

Jimin sighs as he wipes the man's tears and then hugs him to his chest gently

"I know how much hardships you have to go through at work..your cousin who is quite ruthless. I get it. But please don't forget there are people who care a lot about you... I just want to share your pain...not increase it... if I am then maybe we should just break up..."

Jungkook's world collapses. He pulls away from the hug to look at Jimin with fear

"Break up?" Jungkook hyperventilates, he feels nauseous and then he blackouts

Jungkook wakes up to find himself on the bed with Jimin cuddling him

"I'm not leaving you..." Jimin mumbles when he feels Jungkook moving "...I love you too much"

"I love you too..." Jungkook sobs as he hugs the boy tighter against him "...I promise to do better.. I promise to not hurt you again... I'm so sorry..."

Jimin shuts him up with a sweet kiss "...I know... I trust you... I love you Jungkook"

"I love you too Jimin..." Jungkook softly kisses the boy's forehead as a tear rolls down his cheek
