Jungkook and Jimin agree to marry each other. Their parents had brought forth the proposal after seeing each other's profile on an online matrimonial site. 

Jungkook and Jimin started talking to each other daily and meeting in person too during the weekends. They enjoyed the conversations they had. They felt happy. They knew they liked each other at this point and they knew it would be only a matter of time before they would fall for the other as well. They both didn't want to marry each other till they bought their own place. They already had money saved up from over 8 years of working and they finally buy an apartment that they both love. They get married soon after

They soon realise that life together isn't as easy as they thought it would be. They both were different people with different opinions but they listened to the other and compromised. They wanted their relationship and marriage to work

Three months of marriage later Jungkook's single mom comes in to live with them. Her house was undergoing remodeling 

Ever since she came to their home, their life was totally disrupted. She had a lot of opinions on how the apartment should look like and Jimin found it hard to adjust to that. He himself had a lot of dreams on how his home should look like. He tried to talk to his husband about it but Jungkook found the conversation silly. Jungkook believed that his sweet mom being there would be a help for Jimin but Jimin didn't think the same.

Jimin is a kind and sweet person. He had no problems with his mother in law staying for a while but he really didn't appreciate her opinions on his life choices and Jungkook couldn't see anything past his loving mom, Jungkook strongly believes that his mom wants only the best for them. Jungkook failed to understand that Jimin was his own person and would like to do things in a certain manner

Everything Jimin did was criticized by her subtly and Jungkook failed to understand the hidden meaning behind his mom's words targeting his husband - be it Jimin's house management, color of the apartment he chose, the show pieces he chose to display, the meals he cooked or the clothes he wore.  Jimin's food was tasty and healthy but she didn't  appreciate it just because the food was made in an oven. She didn't like the fact that Jimin didn't slave away on a hot stove for hours

She would often criticize Jimin for waking up even later than Jungkook. According to her a good partner would wake up hours before their husband to prepare everything. But Jimin really didn't need to do that, Jimin was quite fast in preparing whatever needed to be done and besides, Jungkook helped him as well in household activities, which of course Mrs Jeon didn't approve

Jimin couldn't say these things to Jungkook. Jungkook really loved his mom and to be honest Jimin felt it silly to complain about things that he could compromise with. Jimin didn't want to have an awkward night with his husband after the last conversation they had 

"Jungkook… it's our house… and I like the way it is… I don't want to change it…"

"Jimin..mom has more experience when it comes to house keeping...let's not argue about these silly things okay? You know I have an important meeting tomorrow...."

Jungkook has always been kind to him and Jimin didn't want to ruin what he had with his husband because of some misunderstanding with his mother in law

It's been 1 month since Jungkook's mom had been staying with them. That evening Jungkook came home disappointed. He didn't even talk to his mom. Jungkook only wanted Jimin, which of course the mom didn't approve but she couldn't do anything 

Jungkook went into their bedroom and hugged the boy who was working on something on his laptop 

"I lost the deal…" Jungkook's soft voice breaks Jimin's heart 

Jimin immediately pulls Jungkook into a warm hug as he pats the man's back "...it's okay. You did your best. You will get another opportunity to show forth your skills. I'm so proud of you for working so hard…" 

Jungkook sighs as he pulls away from the hug and looks into Jimin's beautiful eyes. 

"Can I kiss you?" Jungkook asks cupping Jimin's cheeks

They have been married for 5 months at this point but they haven't done anything intimate before. Jungkook needed this comfort and Jimin wanted to show the man his love 

"I love you Jungkook...kiss me…" 

Jungkook leans in slowly to kiss his husband's lips "...I love you too Jimin...so much…"

That night they make love, proving to each other how much they loved the other

A week later Jungkook's mom goes back home as the remodeling was complete 

4 more weeks later, Jimin announces that he is pregnant. 

Jungkook was happy to hear he was gonna be a dad and calls up his mom on video call to tell her the good news 

"If you weren't already married I would have thought you got pregnant to make Jungkook  yours…" Mrs Jeon says making Jungkook chuckle

"You are so silly mom…" 

Jungkook failed to understand how much those words hurt Jimin. Jungkook thought his mom was trying to crack a joke

Mrs Jeon was possessive of Jungkook,especially after her husband's death. She was the one who first liked Jimin for Jungkook but she couldn't stand to see her son,who used to make her the queen of his world, take care of Jimin and pay more attention to him than her 

**

She would call Jimin or come over unannounced. Jimin was hormonal and on top of that her uninvited presence and criticism and sarcasm made him irritated. 

"Jungkook  I can't do this anymore..  i'm the one getting hurt here... why don't you understand me... I am your husband…" Jimin cries one day, unable to take the hurt anymore 

He lets Jungkook know how much his mom has been bothering him. He showed Jungkook all the chats they had shared. Jungkook couldn't believe some of the messages his mom had sent 

Just because you are pregnant, don't take it as an excuse to not take care of my son. If you think you can't manage your pregnancy and Jungkook, let Jungkook stay over at my place. I heard that he went to buy ice cream for you at night. My sweet son said he wanted to do it for you and that you didn't force him. But I don't believe him. Don't trouble my son. Already you quit your job to stay at home. Don't make my son entertain your crazy cravings. 

Jungkook was hurt. He felt bad for his poor husband. How did he not notice these things?

That's when Jungkook remembers his mom's upset and anxious face during a conversation they had one day,way before his marriage 

"Do you really want to marry Jimin? Are you sure he is good enough for you?"

"Of course mom I like him a lot. I can talk to him about anything. Now I don't have to trouble you with my boring work stuff. He is a good listener." Jungkook smiles wide 

Jungkook didn't miss the flash of anger and disappointment in his mom's eyes but he was too excited to meet Jimin that he never paid attention to the warning signs 

If he had then maybe Jimin wouldn't have been suffering alone like this for months 

Jimin's soft voice brings Jungkook back to reality 

"Jungkook… please don't leave. I'm sorry I said anything...please don't be mad at me… I am just hormonal you know…" Jimin says upset as he sees tears in Jungkook's eyes 

Jungkook kisses the boy softly "...I'm sorry for what my mom has said to you..and I'm really sorry that I didn't pay attention to what you told me… I will make this right.. I promise…"

Jungkook then talks to his mom

"... mom I think you better stop messaging Jimin from now. I don’t think it's right for you to  hurt my husband like this..whatever your reasons may be…" Jungkook sighs as a tear escapes his eye. He is trying his best to control his hurt and anger. His mom has single handedly raised him up and he didn't want to hurt her. He knows she loves him and wants the best for him. But he had to set a boundary. He can't let her destroy the love between him and his husband anymore. Jimin had been secretly hurting for a long time and Jungkook doesn’t want that anymore. 

"...He is my responsibility mom.. I love him... I was so blind to not realize that he had been hurting all this time... I trusted my mom to love her new son... but…" Jungkook looks at his mom in disappointment "...you failed me mom... I am your son... Noone is gonna replace that...but why can't you accept the fact that Jimin is now equally your son... and also the one who holds my heart... please... I can't even look at you right now... you hurt me mom... you really did…"

Jungkook back hugs  Jimin. His husband was standing in front of the mirror admiring his 4 month pregnancy bump when he came into the room after his conversation with his mom

"... I love you baby... i'm sorry for not being your pillar of strength and comfort these past few months... I love you. I hope you know that…" 

"I do... and I love you too" Jimin says turning around to kiss the man

"Let's renovate the apartment all over again…" Jungkook says after a while 

The two had been cuddling on the bed,  the taller caressing Jimin's baby bump

"Why?" Jimin asks confused 

"You are right Jimin.... A house is a home and home should be a place you are most comfortable in. It should bring you happiness…. But looking around I can see how much of your ideas you had to shut down because of my mom… I really liked your ideas about the arrangement before… please would you take control of it again? I want to see how beautiful the place would look after you make the finishing touches…"

"I would love to.." Jimin says with a huge smile that Jungkook loved so much

"I love you baby…"

"I love you too"
