Jungkook and Jimin were family friends and neighbours. They were always together and everyone thought they were a couple. Even their parents. Jungkook was cold to everyone in general, he showed no emotions except when it came to Jimin. 

Both parents were happy when Mrs Jeon brought up the topic to Mrs Park about Jimin's and Jungkook's possible marriage

Jimin laughs when his mom and Mrs Jeon suggest the idea of marriage to the both of them. Jungkook didn't have much of an emotion to that

"Then why the hell are you so sassy when it comes to other people getting close to Jungkook?! Let the poor boy find love somehow…" Mrs Park exclaims disappointed in Jimin "...and you, Jungkook.." she looks at the boy "...stop being so overprotective of Jimin.. you are driving away good marriage prospects for Jimin…" she sighs and Mrs Jeon shakes her head in disappointment "...I suggest you both stop hanging around so much…people will misunderstand your relationship….I want grandkids and if you don't have a boyfriend and you are not with Jungkook then I will start looking for guys for you.. and that's final!" Mrs Park says 

Jimin and Jungkook gulp as they look at each other. Were they really going to have to stop their friendship over this?

Jungkook and Jimin didn't stop their friendship but the time they spent together was definitely reduced as Jimin's mom kept setting Jimin up on blind dates

Jimin's mom asks Jimin to go on a blind date to a cafe. Jimin went to pacify his mom.

Jimin's eyes widen when he sees Jungkook at the Cafe. He smiles but then he notices Jungkook wasn't alone and he seemed to be in a deep conversation with the other man. Jimin suddenly felt jealous. 

Jungkook could feel someone looking at him and he looked to his side to see Jimin with his date. Jungkook's heart clenched but there was nothing he could do. He couldn't hold Jimin for himself anymore. He had to let Jimin find love

"How's the dating life?" Jungkook asks Jimin when they meet in college.

"Been on 2 dates with 2 men in 2 days … and I have one tomorrow I suppose...... I'm a slut!" Jimin chuckles making Jungkook shake his head with a small smile 

"So not going great huh…"

"No… they are not what I'm looking for…"

"What are you looking for then…" Jungkook asks making Jimin look at him for a few seconds before he turns his face away 

"You are busy too huh.. I saw you with someone that day at the Cafe…" Jimin changed the subject 

"Yea.. that's my…" Jungkook gets interrupted by a notification on his phone. Jimin leans in on reflex. They usually do that. They are comfortable with going through the other's phone

"....date?!" Jimin's eyes widen reading the text of someone confirming about the plans that night and even going as far as to call it a date 

"Yea.. that's the guy you saw in the Cafe… Yugyeom.."

Jungkook had mentioned he would be at a club so Jimin takes his date there as well. 

Jimin didn't like the way Jungkook looked at that Yugyeom guy

Jimin doesn't hesitate when his date asks him for a dance. 

Jungkook watches them dance. He could see Jimin wasn't comfortable with the way the man tried to hold him flat against him. 

Jungkook's blood boiled when the man grabbed Jimin's face to kiss him. Jungkook could see Jimin trying to move his head away.

Jungkook immediately walked up to them and pulled Jimin into his arms

"Sorry I'm late baby…." Jungkook  then turns to face the man as he holds Jimin steady in his arms  "...excuse me! Would you give us some privacy please!?" Jungkook asks annoyed 

Jimin shrugs as the man looks at Jimin for a response, making him scoff and then leave

"Thanks for that…" Jimin says as Jungkook leads him out "...what happened to your date?" Jimin looks around 

"Date? Yugyeom?" Jungkook is confused "...he is my cousin…"

Jimin looks at him surprised "...but I thought ...date…"

"Ah! That!..." Jungkook chuckles "...it's a date means it's a plan …. I don't know why but he started talking like that now…" 

Jimin hums as he lets Jungkook open the door for him

On the drive home, Jimin takes Jungkook's phone to play some music since his phone died 

"Let me see what music you have downloaded on your phone…" Jimin says scrolling through the man's phone

Jungkook's eyes widen as he tries to grab the phone back " ..I don't have any…" but it was too late 

"You have only one file in here… it's a voice message?" Jimin is confused 

"Don't!"

Jimin plays it

"...hey bunny…" Jimin's voice could be heard. He sounded drunk "...c-can you believe our moms… h-how could they ask us to stop hanging around so much… d-do they understand how much it's killing me not to see you… I love you Jungkook……. I wish you could kiss me right now… I miss you so much and it's not even been 24 hours… am I really that addicted to you… I'm so wasted right now…" Jimin's giggles could be heard ".… I want you… I love you…" and then the call gets cuts off

Jungkook gulps as he brings the car to the side  and stops

"I… I don't remember making that call… was it that day after our moms told us not to hang out as much?"

"Yea…" Jungkook looks ahead 

"W-Why didn't you delete it? Were you planning to make fun of me later?" Jimin's eyes fill up with tears 

"No!..no… of course not!" Jungkook panics as he looks at Jimin 

"Then why did you keep it?" 

"I…" Jungkook is quiet 

"...you really wanted to mock me huh?" Jimin's voice cracks 

"No!"

"Then why?!"

"Because I wanted it to be true… I didn't want to let it be a dream… and it's probably the only love confession I could ever get from you...ever…"

Jimin is quiet for a few seconds 

"So you want my love confession … why?" Jimin tilts his head as he looks at the man

Jungkook raises his eyebrow "..really?"

"Well you have proof of my confession… I need my proof too…" Jimin grins

"But you were drunk… that means nothing" Jungkook states 

"Don't you know alcohol brings out the deepest of secrets… I love you!...you big dummy!" Jimin exclaims making Jungkook grin 

Jungkook cups Jimin's face and leans over to Jimin's side but the boy stops him 

"I wanna hear it too.. do you love me?" Jimin asks hope laced in his voice

"Of course! I love you too… my Jiminie pabo…" Jungkook says before capturing Jimin's lips with his own

"I told you it would work… just needed some patience…" Jimin's mom says as Yugyeom parks his car a few meters away from Jungkook's car. 

"I'm glad you had this idea…" Mrs Jeon says happily, watching her son kiss her soon to be son in law 

"Phew! Now I can go back to my boyfriends. I can't believe you made my boyfriends and I date Jimin to make them realise their feelings for each other…" Taehyung shakes his head "...I was so afraid that Jungkook was going to punch me...he looked scary!"

"That's my son!" Mrs Jeon smirks
