"W-Why?" Jimin asks, taken aback by the sudden demand

"I don't like it on you" Jungkook says, his cold stern

Jimin's eyes watered as he stared at the ring for a few seconds before removing it and handing it to Jungkook

Jimin cried in his room after Jungkook left with the ring. He was definitely hurt. Here he was thinking that Jungkook finally started having feelings for him and now he was left to think that maybe Jungkook would never feel anything for him.

Jimin and Jungkook are in an arranged married, married for a year now. Jungkook is an introvert and basically put on a cold front as he never really had much to contribute to a

conversation. But ever since his marriage, he had been trying to come out of that shell - well, he hadn't been trying actively, his whole self just slowly started changing ever since he caught feelings for his husband.

It was in one of those moments that Jungkook bought Jimin a ring. Jungkook had personally designed it,wanting to gift his lovely husband something special but being artistically challenged, the design turned out to be... well, not so great. But Jimin mind? Never. He was just ecstatic that his husband bought him an expensive ring, especially with how shy and proud Jungkook looked while handing him the box. Jimin felt loved

But now he wasn't sure anymore

One of the main reasons why Jimin felt so, was because Jungkook's best friend A/N was back in Korea from her long stay in the US.

A/N was Jungkook's neighbour growing up and was an extrovert. She was the one who befriended the introvert and bullied boy and helped him. That's how they became close, though Jungkook always maintained his distance and wasn't that open with her.

Jimin saw how Jungkook's face lit up when he saw her after so many years. She had come to find him and surprise him. Jimin was happy to see his husband happy but it hurt that maybe he wasn't so special to Jungkook, atleast not as much as A/N

Jimin's eyes widen when he sees Jungkook smile while holding a ring, showing it to A/N. Jimin had gone to see Jungkook at his office, thinking of surprising the man and asking him out on a date

A/N was smiling while nodding her head, Jungkook looked extremely happy too

It hurt.

What happened the day A/N met the couple

A/N had noticed the ring Jimin wore and had commented on how unusual it looked. She came to know Jungkook was the one who designed it when she talks to him about it and she was pissed

Pissed? Why? Because her fiancée Y/N is a jeweler and would have helped design a beautiful ring for the cute boy. The current ring looked nauseous to her. She sighs seeing Jungkook's sad face - "Jungkook you really have no taste, except with your life partner..... you said he loves rings and yet he only wears the ring you gave him.... its clear he loves you... I know this is just a materialistic thing and as far as I got to know him in that one meeting, he doesn't care about these things and he only cares about the reason behind the gift... but to be honest, he deserves a better ring... people should see the ring and be in awe of the love you both share... you have to get back the ring... it just doesn't look right on him... I'm sorry..."

Back to present

Jimin cried the whole evening in his room. He switched off his phone when he saw Jungkook's call. He wasn't in a mood to talk to the man. Jungkook often called him in the evening these days, asking the boy not to wait for him after office hours.

Now Jimin knew why.

Shit. Why isn't he answering the phone? - Jungkook frowns and then he pouts when his calls go to voice-mail

"Sir, would you like to make any changes to the room design?" The waiter asks making Jungkook look at him "...is your husband coming soon?"

Jungkook looks around the room. He had booked a hotel room and designed it as best as he knew how with A/N's help. Last time he had just handed Jimin the ring box and watched the boy's expression with a neutral face. This time he planned to confess his feelings to Jimin.

"...No... I don't think he will come..." Jungkook sighs as he leaves the room

Jungkook believes Jimin's phone got switched off due to low battery. He drives back home

The minute his eyes lay on Jimin's trembling self, he panics

"Jimin!...." Jungkook rushes towards the boy ".... are you okay?! What happened?! Why are you crying?! Does it hurt somewhere?!"

Jimin looks at Jungkook to see the concern in his eyes. Jimin smiles at the man, a sad smile

"It hurts..." Jimin whispers "...right here..." Jimin points to his heart

"W-What?" Jungkook says surprised

"Jungkook..." Jimin looks away "...I'm tired..."

Jungkook sighs "...okay.. let me help you to bed..."

Jimin stops the man from carrying him

"I'm tired.... of us..."

Jungkook sits down next to Jimin confused

"What do you mean?"

"...do you perhaps love someone?" Jimin sighs as he finally looks at Jungkook "... A/N maybe?"

Jungkook's eyes widen

"What the fck?! She is my friend who is fcking engaged!" Jungkook didn't like to think of her that way. It disgusted him "...I am fcking gay and I love you!"

Jimin's eyes widen at that

"W-What?"

Jungkook sighs as he holds Jimin's hands in his own

"I'm sorry... but I love you... a lot..." Jungkook apologizes thinking Jimin didn't like him back "...I'm sorry if you never understood that from my mannerisms... I will try to do better next time..." Jungkook sighs "...but could you tell me why you think I love A/N? Like what the fck!"

That's when Jimin explains what he saw at the office and what he felt during the past few days after Jungkook took the ring away

"Oh..." Jungkook chuckles "...I took the ring to redesign it..." Jungkook goes on to say what A/N and her fiancée did for him. "....and I called you today to finally confess to you and give you the new ring... I had arranged a romantic hotel stay but your phone wasn't reachable..." Jungkook says opening the ring box

The ring

It screamed Jimin. It was exactly what Jimin would love to wear - cute simple and elegant - it was perfect.

Jimin's eyes water as he suddenly hugs the man, surprising Jungkook "...I'm sorry... I thought you didn't want to be with me anymore..." Jimin sniffles before pulling away "...I love you too... and it hurt that you just took the ring that you designed for me..." Jimin chuckles "....not gonna lie... it wasn't comfortable to look at... but it made me happy knowing you personally designed it for me...."

Jungkook smiles wiping Jimin's tears "....this one is designed by me too... just with a bit of help from Y/N and A/N.."

Jimin smiles looking at the ring "...I love it!"

"May I?" Jungkook takes the ring out of the box and goes down on one knee

Jimin nods his head, his throat aching from the sob he was trying to hold in

"I love you so much Jimin... thank you for being Jeon Jimin ... thank you for loving me and being mine..." Jungkook says slipping on the ring "....I promise to express myself better and be the best version of the man you deserve to be with..."

Jimin stands up, pulling Jungkook up as well "...you already are the best version of the man I could ever ask for... I love you so much Jeon Jungkook... thank you for loving me too..."

Jungkook places a soft kiss against Jimin's forehead at that

"May I?" Jungkook tilts his head towards Jimin's lips

"Please..." Jimin closes his eyes, his lips trembling a bit feelimg Jungkook's warm breath against his lips " ..I love you..."

"I love you too" and with that Jungkook pulls Jimin into a sweet yet passionate kiss
