"Dad! I don't wanna marry him! He has been my bully all through college. Please! And you know I wanna marry Tae!" Jimin screams in disappointment

"I don't care! You will marry Jungkook and make me be the top again! You can divorce Jungkook in a year and then do whatever you want! Do you really want to give up the dream your mom had?" Jimin's dad says making Jimin shut up

Jimin's family was one of the top in the business world till recently, that was when Jeon industries having connections with the mafia shot up and took to the top. Jimin's mom and dad had worked so hard to get to the position they had kept for years and when they suffered a loss, Jimin's mom suffered a heart attack and passed away. Jimin's dad was determined to win back his wife's dream and he would do anything for it, even give up his son's happiness.

Jungkook and Jimin were college mates. So was Taehyung. Taehyung was Jimin's best friend. They were soulmates and always together. Taehyung was from a middle class family. They loved each other even though they weren't official.

Jungkook was head over heels in love with the tiny boy but Jimin wasn't interested in the son of the Jeon mafia and the man ended up always bullying Jimin to get the boy's attention - whether it was snatching his things from his hands, pouring water into his lunch or sending flirty messages on his phone.

Later on

Now that college is over and wanting to keep Taehyung away, Jungkook proposes for Jimin's hand in marriage to Jimin's dad and the man agrees. Jungkook knows Jimin is loyal and would do nothing to cheat on him during the course of their marriage and he hoped that a year would be enough to make the boy fall for him

Taehyung is angry when Jimin informs him about the marriage but Jimin pacifies him by promising to divorce the man and be Taehyung's once a year of marriage was done and his dad achieved his goal.

Jungkook and Jimin are now married and living together as roommates in the same room. Jimin wanted a separate room but Jungkook of course didn't allow it, threatening the boy by saying that he would not allow his mom's dream to succeed.

Jungkook tries his best to be the ideal husband but each time his heart twisted with pain when Jimin ignores him and talks with Taehyung on the phone. It was normal conversations between friends but of course possessive Jungkook didn't like it.

Later

After a month though Taehyung behaves distantly. Yoongi made himself known to the boy. Yoongi was Jungkook's close friend and senior to all 3 of them. Yoongi liked Taehyung and Jungkook encouraged it.

Jungkook arranges for Yoongi to meet up with Taehyung so that Jimin will be kept away from the other boy.

Jimin doesn't know why but he didn't like the feeling of anxiety he was feeling now that Taehyung wasn't answering his calls. He had no idea about Yoongi and Taehyung meeting up. Yoongi kept Taehyung busy with office work, manipulating the boy that his hard work now and spending less time with Jimin meant good future for the couple later on and Yoongi even made him drunk at night. He made sure to make Taehyung very tired to spend time with Jimin

One day, Jungkook takes Jimin to the club insisting on spending time with him like he normally tries. This time Jimin goes as he has nothing better to do, Taehyung wasn't available like before.

Soon

Jimin's heart skips a beat when he sees Taehyung drinking with Yoongi, both laughing about something.

Jimin sighs, heart broken.

"T-Tae..."

Taehyung stops laughing when he hears the voice

"J-Jimin..."

"Is he the reason why you are avoiding me? Did you find someone new?"

Taehyung frowns. He didn't expect Jimin to accuse him like that.

Taehyung is actually with Yoongi to get a job so that he can provide for Jimin. At the time, Taehyung genuinely wanted to be with Jimin but seeing that the boy misunderstood him, he also broke the relationship, because Taehyung realized that Yoongi made him feel things that Jimin never made him feel.

"Let's go..." Jungkook grabs Jimin and drags him home

Later

"I'm sorry ...I didn't know he would say that to you..." Jungkook tries to comfort the boy "...I'm here... cry all you want to..."

Jimin just lets the man hug him as he sheds a few tears in tiredness and disappointment

Soon

"Thank you Jungkook..." Jimin says pulling away from the side hug "....I needed that..."

"Jimin ah..." Jungkook says when Jimin walks to the bathroom

"You are a good person Jungkook... I .. I promise I will try to make this relationship work.... If that's what you want..." Jimin says his back facing Jungkook

"You know I love you right?" Jungkook says standing up and walking up to Jimin

"Then be patient with me..." with that Jimin walks into the bathroom

From the next day, things changed between the two. Jimin was being more friendly than he ever had with Jungkook. The man was definitely happy

Two months went by with the two going on multiple dates and spending time together. The two were falling in love with each other.

Jimin goes to Jungkook's office, thinking of surprising the man with a home cooked meal for lunch when he overhears Yoongi and the man talking

"Taehyung wants to talk to Jimin and apologize for everything, Jungkook... please let them talk..." Yoongi pleads

"I can't risk it hyung..." Jungkook shakes his head "...Jimin had been hurt so much before... he won't be able to handle the fact that his best friend initially became his friend because of a bet.."

Jimin's heart breaks, his grip on the box falls

"What the... Jimin!" Jungkook's eyes widen seeing the boy outside his office door

"I-Is it true?" Jimin has tears in his eyes as he looks at Jungkook "...did Taehyung really approach me for a bet?"

Jungkook has always known that Taehyung befriended Jimin for money as a bet but when he confronted the boy about the same, Taehyung confessed he fell for Jimin after they became friends.

Jungkook also confesses about making Yoongi manipulate Taehyung into spending less time with Jimin in the recent past

"Please don't leave me Jimin... I really love you..." Jungkook says, his voice cracking

"...I need time..."

Jimin walks out and Jungkook collapses to the floor, his chest aching

Jimin meets up with Taehyung who apologizes for the past. They agree that the feelings they held for each other were never more than love between friends.

Jimin and Taehyung remain friends but Jimin asks for time away from Jungkook. He wanted to think about their relationship

Jungkook gave the boy that after trying really hard to talk to Jimin and getting the answer that if Jungkook bothered him again, they would get divorced

Jungkook is always crying, eating less and overworking himself. He became pale and weak. Jungkook had given Mr Park 51% share of his company

"Jiminah... you should forgive Jungkook already. He was hospitalized for not taking care of himself..." Taehyung let's Jimin know

Two days later, Jungkook was discharged.

Jungkook tiredly opens the door to his apartment when he hears noises coming from the kitchen. He walks in cautiously only to see his tiny husband preparing dinner for them

"Am I dreaming?" Jungkook back hugs the boy "...Are you really here?"

Jimin smiles, turning around "...Yes...now eat!" Jimin pushes the man towards the table

"...J-Jimin..." Jungkook stares at the boy who was serving him

"I forgive you okay...." Jimin sighs "...Things that you did might not have been done in the right way but I get it and I'm thankful for everything you tried to do... you tried to fight for my happiness and I love you for that... and for a lot of things..."

Jimin smiles genuinely

"...I love you too..." Jungkook smiles when Jimin reaches out across the table to squeeze his hand

"I know... now eat... you need energy to prove your love to me tonight.."

Jungkook's eyes widened hearing that

"I love you Jungkook... I mean it..."

Jungkook smiles "...I love you too Jimin"
