"Do I really have to attend a boring wedding? You know I hate such celebrations" Jungkook whines to his brother Namjoon

Namjoon chuckles "...I'm sorry baby bro, but I promised Jin I would help him and I can't do this alone..... please .." Namjoon begs the man and he sighs

"Fine"

Jungkook was going around taking candid photos as requested by Jin. Jin is Namjoon's boyfriend and Jin's close friend Yoongi was getting married to his two boyfriends Hoseok and Taehyung.

Wow! - Jungkook looks up from his camera when he sees the cutest boy he has ever seen standing next to Taehyung, one of the grooms. The boy was smiling so wide that his eyes disappeared, unknowingly a huge bunny smile appeared on Jungkook's face as well.

"...Jungkook! Hello!?" Namjoon nudges his brother bringing Jungkook back to reality

"Huh!?"

"Gosh! I have been calling you for some time now. Who are you smiling at huh? I have never seen you so happy before..." Namjoon smiles wide seeing that beautiful smile on his brother's face

"I..." Jungkook blushes looking away from his brother to look at the boy again. This time Namjoon follows his gaze

"Jimin huh?" Namjoon smirks slightly "...that's who you are interested in?"

"You know him?" Jungkook's eyes widen

"I do... I have met him a couple of times when Yoongi and Jin used to hang out and invite us too..."

"Why wasn't I invited?!" Jungkook frowns at Namjoon

"We always do" Namjoon amuses "...but you always ignored us.."

"I wouldn't have if I knew such an angel would also be there..." Jungkook pouts looking at Jimin

Yup, it was love at first sight for the young man

Soon, Jungkook started joining Namjoon in their get-togethers. The man couldn't help but fall deeper for Jimin the more he learnt about the tiny boy.

After 5 more times of Jungkook meeting Jimin as friends, the man asks Jimin out. Jimin was definitely surprised, he didn't think anyone would want to date him.

"I'm sorry Jungkook... I really am... but I'm not interested in having a boyfriend..." Jimin says

The bouquet in Jungkook's hands falls down as he watches the boy walk away

Ever since that day, Jimin avoided the man, breaking Jungkook's heart further.

"You are going to Bangtan cafe for lunch right?" Jungkook nods "...Can you pick up my coat from Jin's hospital room? It has the USB I need ......." Namjoon says as he continues typing on his laptop

"Sure hyung... by the way why did you remove your coat when it is so cold..." Jungkook smirks "....or did you guys do something to make things hot enough to......"

Namjoon's cheek reddened "Y-Yah! Go before I throw all your banana milk"

"My banana milk! What did it ever do to you?!" Jungkook pouts as he leaves making Namjoon chuckle to himself

Jungkook's eyes widened seeing Jimin leave Jin's room at the hospital. Jungkook was definitely curious

"Hey hyung... am I disturbing you?"

Jin smiles shaking his head and gestures Jungkook to enter

"Namjoon told me you would be coming ... here..." Jin hands a bag with Namjoon's coat and USB

"Hyung..." Jungkook asks, sitting down on the chair opposite Jin. Jin is surprised, Jungkook normally wouldn't be interested in staying back at the hospital.

"Is something wrong?" Jin is concerned

"W-Was that Jimin who walked out from here a second ago?"

"Y-Yeah...why?" Jin gulps

"W-Why was he here?" Jungkook is worried "...is he p-pregnant? Does he already have a boyfriend?" Jungkook is upset

Jin's eyes widened. Jin is a OBGY specialist and so Jungkook was confused on why the boy was here.

"I can't tell you that. That would be violating Jimin's trust in me...."

"Hyung..." Jungkook has tears in his eyes "....I love him..." Jin sighs he knows the man really liked Jimin, it was very evident whenever the guys hang out together "....do I really have to give up on him? Is he happy with someone else?" Jungkook looked so disappointed that it hurt Jin "...is that why he is avoiding me?"

Jin couldn't see Jungkook, whom he considered as a younger brother, to be so restless about Jimin. He knew Jungkook would take care of Jimin and he always wanted Jimin to be loved after everything the boy has been through and so he tells Jungkook the truth.

"Jimin isn't in a relationship... never has been as far as I know..." Jin says, making Jungkook smile "...and he isn't pregnant either..." Jungkook's smile widens before it disappears at Jin's next words

"....probably never will be..." Jin sighs as Jungkook stares at the man "...... the only reason I am breaking Jimin's trust in me is because I know you ... I know you really love him..." Jin sighs again "....the boy has been through a lot in his life... so please only pursue him if you are ready to be with him, knowing you might never have a child with him.... Please don't hurt him... he doesn't deserve to be heart broken.... Neither do you..."

Jungkook left the room with a heavy heart

Jimin is an orphan and is staying with his aunt and uncle along with his cousin brother Jihyun.

Jungkook and his family go with a proposal to Jimin's house, after he lets his parents know about Jimin's situation. Jungkook had told them that he loved Jimin and would marry the boy if Jimin agreed as well. His parents could see the love their son held for Jimin and so agrees. They were pretty broad minded.

Jimin was about to reject Jungkook again when his aunt stops him

"Jiminah... can you come with me?"

Jimin follows her

"Jiminah... you know Jihyun won't marry his boyfriend Daniel till you get married right?" Jimin gulps "...Daniel is tired of waiting and so are we... we want to see him settled, Jimin..." she sighs "...look, I know of Jungkook's family..they aren't bad.. In fact I know they will take good care of you.. so please... please don't say no to the wedding..."

"But... I have to tell him about my...."

"Shush..." she shushes him "...you will tell them nothing. Finally you are getting a good proposal. I will not let you ruin this!" She grits her teeth before leaving and letting the Jeon family know that Jimin is okay with the marriage

Jungkook smiles wide but then he sees Jimin's eyes glistening with tears as the boy reentered the room.

"Mrs Park, if it's okay with you... can I date Jimin first before we decide on this marriage for sure?" Jungkook asks making Jimin look at him in surprise "...I don't want to force him into a relationship he isn't comfortable with"

Mrs Jeon smiles and speaks before Mrs Park could "Yes! That's a great idea!"

The two talk upstairs.

"Jungkook... please don't go forward with the marriage"

"Why not? Do you hate me?" Jungkook asks making Jimin's eyes widen

"No!"

"Then why?"

"I ..." Jimin stops

"Just tell me the reason"

"I... I love someone else"

"So why are you not with him?" Jungkook asks

"I... he ... he has someone else"

"So you are free and not having a boyfriend" Jungkook argues

"I... you shouldn't marry me... I can't give you what you want" Jimin's voice wavers

"And what do I want?" Jungkook tilts his head at the boy

"A family"

"You will be my family!" Jungkook declares

"Why are you not understanding me?" Jimin says, his voice desperate. Jimin could see his aunt glaring at him

"I'm sorry Jimin... unless you give me a genuine reason like you hating me, I can't back away from the marriage..."

Jungkook tries to impress Jimin by always going to the boy's home and offering rides to work, bringing along flowers at times. Jungkook even surprised Jimin at work for lunch with the boy's favorite meals.

Jimin fell for the big bunny man soon enough but he always acted cold to discourage Jungkook from having hope.

"Jungkook enough! Stop buying me flowers. It's not gonna change my mind" Jimin throws the bouquet into the dustbin near his desk

Jungkook's heart breaks a bit at that

"So then who will you marry? You do remember that Jihyun will only marry after you do!" Jungkook raises his voice a bit

"Anyone but you!" Jimin says making Jungkook's eyes tear up as he walks away

Fck! I'm so sorry Jungkook but I can't marry you. - a tear rolls down Jimin's cheek as he picks up the bouquet from the bin and smiles sadly - I love you too, so much but it kills me that I won't be able to give you a family. You deserve so much more than I can ever give you. I'm sorry. I can marry someone and then get divorced after Jihyun's marriage. I'm sure that's what they will do anyways when they know I can't conceive but I can't let you go through that.

Soon

Jungkook smiles as he sees the boy carry the flowers that he gave, home. Yup, Jungkook waited outside the office to see Jimin go.

So, you love me too huh? Don't worry I know why you said what you said to me now. I won't ever let you go.

Jimin is surprised when he gets home one day to a decorated room. The entire house was empty - his aunt, uncle and Jihyun had informed him that they would be staying at Mr Park's in-law's house for the weekend.

"J-Jungkook... what are you doing here?" Jimin asks, his eyes wide as he sees the man enter the living room from the kitchen

"To talk..."

"There is nothing to talk about... please leave..." Jimin walks past Jungkook but the man holds his wrist

"I love you!"

Jimin's eyes tear up

"I love you a lot Jimin and I know you love me too and the reason why you don't want to marry me"

Jimin turns around wide eyed

"So you might not be able to conceive..." Jungkook smiles "...so what? We can adopt kids if you want. I just want to be with you and be happy..." Jungkook wraps his arms around Jimin's tiny waist

The boy sobs

"...I can't...I can't be intimate with you..." Jimin shakes his head hysterically as he shrugs Jungkook's hold off of him and steps back

"J-Jimin..." Jungkook steps forward but Jimin steps back again

"I was almost r-rped..." Jimin cries. Jungkook stills in his movements hearing that "...I was w-walking home one day and someone attacked me... in broad daylight and dragged me somewhere... no one helped me... I screamed.... I screamed my heart out... no one came... and when I resisted a lot... he stabbed me hard ... and the doctors say it damaged my reproductive organs..." Jimin sobbed and Jungkook's tears fell

Jungkook rushed forward seeing Jimin fall down to his knees

"I'm sorry baby I'm sorry..." Jungkook's voice cracks as he hugs the boy gently "....I'm sorry you had to go through that... but I'm so glad that you are okay now.." Jungkook places a soft peck on Jimin's forehead before pulling away to wipe Jimin's tears "...I love you... I love you so much... nothing can change that... I will give you time... if you feel that I am marrying you for intimacy then you are wrong... yes, it's true I want to be with you that way... one day... whenever you are comfortable with the idea... but baby, that's not why I want to marry you... you already have my heart... I just want me to be the reason why you smile everyday... that's all... will you give me that chance, Jimin?"

Jimin sobs as he nods his head "...yes! I would love to"

It's been almost 4 years since their marriage and they are definitely happy. They thought about adopting but they were never chosen by any pregnant woman or man who were candidates for putting up their child for adoption - it's been a year since they put their names up for being adoptive parents

Jungkook noticed how Jimin was being a bit aloof from him these days. Their wedding anniversary was coming up in two days and Jungkook was trying to adopt a baby as an anniversary gift to Jimin. He knew how much Jimin was craving to hold a baby

"Jiminah..." Jungkook back hugs his husband in the kitchen "...I have good news..."

Jimin smiles turning around to face the man

"I found a woman who accepted us to adopt her baby! We have to let her know if we are ready or not..." Jungkook says excited but Jimin's smile falls. "...hey.. what's wrong?" Jungkook cups Jimin's cheek

"I... I think we should wait..."

"You know how this works baby... if we reject them now.. it will take a long time before we get another chance again..." Jungkook frowns "...don't you want a baby anymore?"

"It's not that... it's just that .."

"What?"

"Jungkook please.. I..." Jimin stops, not knowing what to say

"I don't get it... since when do you have difficulty in expressing your thoughts? Why did you change Jimin? You are hiding things from me, aren't you?" Jungkook is upset

Jimin is quiet and Jungkook walks away disappointed

The next day was filled with awkward silence between the two. None of them bothered to talk, especially Jungkook who would only him if Jimin asked him something

The following day, which was their anniversary night, Jungkook chooses to stay overnight at the office.

Jimin is upset as he had prepared a huge meal for the both of them and Jungkook just informed that he would be late.

The tiny boy waited for his husband and fell asleep on the couch

Soon

Jungkook's eyes soften as he enters the living room after 2 more hours to see his husband sleeping on the couch. Jungkook kneels down next to the boy and caresses his pale face

"Are you not feeling well these days? I often see you rushing into the bathroom but you never tell me the reason...you know I love you so much, Jimin... why are you hiding things from me... today was supposed to be a beautiful day for the both of us... but I don't get why you are being this way... am I reading too much into this or is it that you don't want to have a baby with me anymore?" A tear rolls down Jungkook's cheek

"No..." Jungkook flinches hearing Jimin's whisper. He really thought the boy was sleeping. Jimin stands up slowly, so does Jungkook. Jimin smiles as he wraps his arms around the man, Jungkook couldn't help but smile back as he wraps his arms around Jimin's waist "...I'm sorry for being secretive and distant... they say that before announcing to the world about your pregnancy, it should pass 3 months at least..."

"Yea, because the first 3 months are the most dangerous and has higher chance of miscarriage.." Jungkook says "...so what's that gotta do with us adopting a kid? That woman was 5 months pregnant when she picked us..." Jungkook is confused and Jimin giggles as he unwraps his arms from Jungkook's shoulder and reaches out to pull Jungkook's hands off his waist

"It's because..." Jimin holds Jungkook's hand flat against his tummy "...I'm 3 months pregnant"

Jungkook's eyes widened "W-What?"

"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you... I have been sick for a while but I didn't think too much of it... but a week ago I got myself checked and I found out about our baby..." Jimin nearly chokes as he speaks, feeling overwhelmed "...that's why I was preventing you from touching me in bed... I didn't want to risk the pregnancy and I didn't want to tell you anything either... I was scared to give you hope and for me to undergo a miscarriage... I couldn't risk it... I'm sorry..." Jimin sniffled as he watched tears rolling down Jungkook's face "...Jin hyung confirmed that I am in the safe zone now, the day you told me about adoption... of course, we can still adopt but I wanted to tell you first the news before we decide on anything and I wanted to tell you on our anniversary as a gift to you... I'm really so..."

Jimin's words are cut off by Jungkook pulling him into a soft kiss

"I love you... I love you so much... thank you for the best gift I could have ever received..." Jungkook sobs on Jimin's shoulder

Jimin smiles as he pats the man's back "....I love you too... thank you for giving me your love..."
