Jimin's mom and Jungkook's mom were best friends from school days. They had often expressed their wish to marry off their kids, if they were to have one in the future. And years later, they still maintained their friendship and as they had hoped, they both had a son each. The two ladies were excited to get their kids together. But in the midst of all this, Jimin's mom and dad got into a terrible accident and passed away. Jungkook's mom was the one who was most distraught - she lost a good friend and was left with the responsibility of taking care of a naive Jimin, not that she minded it, of course not but Jimin reminded her of his mom and that hurt her every day. But did that stop her from showering her love on him? No. In fact, she loved Jimin more than Jungkook, her own son and that led to the man hating his would-be husband.

Jungkook was a workaholic. He was a perfectionist but his skills came naturally to him. He was a born genius. His mom never really complimented him. Why? Because he hated praises and so she stopped. But now there was someone else in the house that she could shower her praises onto and that was Jimin. Jimin was smart but he had to work hard to reach the places he was at right now. He wasn't naturally gifted and so Mrs Jeon would make sure to compliment the boy and Jimin loved it, he was a sucker for praises. Jungkook hated this new side of his mom, he was jealous and ended up hating Jimin for no reason.

Jungkook didn't know his mom was a heart patient. Jimin knew because the two were quite close and that was one of the reasons why Jimin agreed to marry Jungkook when she brought the proposal, the other reason was for his mom who had always hoped the two would marry. Jimin at this point didn't know Jungkook enough to decide if he was to hate him or love him or feel anything towards him.

Jungkook agrees because his mom looked really disappointed when he had first said no to the proposal.

As you can see, their married life wasn't exactly a happy one.

Jungkook was cold towards his loving husband. Jungkook always stuck to himself while Jimin would take care of the man like an ideal husband would.

Today, Jungkook's mom and dad came to visit the married couple for dinner.

"So Jimin..." Jungkook's mom says looking at the boy " ..when will you give me a mini Jeon?"

Jimin turns red but he covers up his embarrassment ".....I would love to... but you know your son is a workaholic and has no time for me..." Jimin says pouting cutely making her laugh

Jungkook, who just entered the kitchen to grab a bottle of water, hears this and walks away angrily. He felt humiliated. He felt embarrassed that Jimin made him out to be a man who didn't care for his husband in front of his mom. He felt hurt, he felt angry.

"....but he takes care of me... even if he doesn't have time and is stressed..." Jimin says dreamily and then he notices Mrs Jeon staring at him with a smile

"What mom?" Jimin asks confused

"You really love him huh?" She smirks slightly

Jimin blushes "....yea.. I do"

Jungkook drinks angrily after his parents leave. His mom had just advised him to take some time off and take Jimin on a honeymoon.

Jimin is anxious seeing Jungkook drinking. Jungkook usually has a glass of wine before sleep but this time, he was drinking like a drunkard.

"J-Jungkook..." Jimin is scared of Jungkook's look "....why are you drinking so much? Is it work?"

Jungkook grips the glass he was holding tightly before getting up from the couch and facing Jimin

"You!" Jungkook takes a step forward "...you always have to take my mom's love huh... making me the bad guy.." Jungkook hiccups as the alcohol hits him.

"J-Jungkook... what.."

"Shut up!!" Jungkook throws the glass onto the wall behind Jimin, scaring the boy.

"You think you can insult me..." Jungkook tilts his head glaring at his husband "... how dare you make me look like a bad guy here?!"

"You want me to be a husband right? It is my fault that you can't give my mom kids right!?" Jungkook snarls as he walks towards Jimin

Jimin steps back in fear, shaking his head, his body trembles

"Let's make her wish come true!" Jungkook says already throwing a frozen Jimin over his shoulder and leading him to their bedroom and throwing the boy on the bed

"J-Jungkook please.. don't..." Jimin is shivering as Jungkook hovers over him

"Why? Didn't you want this? I wasn't giving you time right?" Jungkook smirks as he sits up to remove his shirt. Jimin's eyes widen seeing that

"J-Jungkook you are drunk... you are not thinking..." Jimin says, his body trembling

"Just shut up!" Jungkook yells as rips off Jimin's shirt and starts kissing Jimin's neck harshly

"J-Jungkook.. please.... stop..." Jimin sobs as he whispers weakly

Jungkook stops hearing the boy's broken sobs and pulls himself up to face Jimin. Jimin's broken self hurts him, Jungkook groans as he sits up

"Fck! Fck!" Jungkook curses as he gets off the bed and drags a hand through his hair in frustration

Jimin grabs the sheets and pulls it over his naked torso, the action makes Jungkook realise what he was about to do and he immediately walks out of the room in anger. Anger at himself

Jimin sat laying on the bed, tears rolling down his cheeks as he silently sobbed into his hands

From the next day, Jimin avoided Jungkook as much as possible.

Jungkook definitely regretted his actions and he started missing the boy. He tried to get Jimin to talk to him but the boy was just silent and nodded to anything Jungkook had to ask him. Jungkook didn't try any further as he got irritated with how Jimin was trying to ignore him

Jimin ,who used to call Mrs Jeon daily, stopped spending so much time with her, making her feel like something was off.

"How is Jimin?" She asks Jungkook as soon as he answers the call

Jungkook scoffs "...you don't want to ask about your own son? Why are you asking about him? Call him directly.."

She sighs "...I'm asking about him because he is avoiding me these days. We always talk everyday..... he didn't come to the hospital with me ..."

"... hospital?" Jungkook is confused

That's when his mom confesses that she is a heart patient and how Jimin had been taking care of her for so long. She tells him that she never asked Jungkook about himself because Jungkook never liked it and Jimin was the one who would tell her how he is. She trusts Jimin to take care of her son so she isn't worried about Jungkook's health.

Jungkook just listens to what his mom had to say without any comment.

"He loves you Jungkook... so very much..." she says, making Jungkook's heart clench "....I know he is lying when he says you are taking care of him.... I know you son... I have known you for 25 years, of course I know how you are...but he still doesn't regret marrying you..he cares for you so damn much! Why are you so blind not to see that?!"

Jungkook's throat closes in a sob

"Do you love him, Jungkook?"

Jungkook is silent

"Do you love him? If not then I will take him away...."

"No! Don't!" Jungkook is quick to say

"And why is that?"

"I... I do love him mom... I can't imagine staying without him by my side..." Jungkook's vulnerable voice makes her smile

"Then why don't you show it? Actions speak louder than words... Why do you always behave so rudely with him? I thought his love would be enough to change you...but ..."

"I know... I'm sorry... I... I took him for granted.... I love him but I also hated him for taking your love ..." Jungkook wipes the tears that escaped his eyes as he continued speaking on the phone "...I liked him from the first time he came to stay with us after his parents death... but then I felt jealous that you loved him more than me... I know it's because of my personality that you treated me and him differently but... I don't know... I guess I didn't like that he was getting love from someone else... someone who is not me... I.. I think I was jealous of the fact that I couldn't stop my cold self...." Jungkook sobs "....m-mom... what should I do? I hurt him! I hurt him badly! I don't wanna lose him!" Jungkook's heart broken sobs makes his mom cry as well

"Talk to him... whatever you did, I'm sure he will forgive you...."

Jungkook takes a deep breath "....h-how are you so sure?"

"Because... he loves you..."

Jimin is washing dishes when Jungkook rushes into the kitchen

Jimin flinches

"J-Jimin..." Jungkook walks towards the boy

Jimin turns back to his dishes

Jungkook's heart breaks seeing Jimin give him a silent treatment

Jungkook walks towards the boy, standing behind him

"J-Jimin..."

Jimin wipes his hands and turns to walk out the kitchen when he feels Jungkook suddenly back hugging him

"I'm sorry... I really am..." Jungkook sobs on Jimin's shoulder "....please forgive me..."

"I forgive you.." Jimin says, not able to handle Jungkook's tears

Jungkook turns Jimin around but notices how empty the boy's eyes were

"...No... no you don't... you can't forget it..." a new set of tears roll down Jungkook's cheek

"It's hard to forget..." Jimin whispers

"I'm sorry... I wish I could go back in time and stop myself ... but I can't...."

"I know... .. just leave it ..." Jimin sighs before shrugging Jungkook's hold off him

"Please don't go"

"Give me time please" Jimin turns to leave when Jungkook back hugs him again

"I'm afraid if I give you time.. that you will leave me..."

"Why does that matter? Isn't this what you want?" Jimin's defeated voice makes Jungkook's heart clench

"No! No!..." Jungkook turns the boy around "...please believe me when I say.." Jungkook cups the boy's face gently "...I love you... I have for a very long time now..." Jimin's eyes widened and Jungkook's heart broke, realizing that Jimin never felt his love because of his coldness and arrogance "...I'm sorry..." Jungkook's eyes filled with tears "....I'm really sorry.... I promise I will try my best to show you my love and not hide it anymore behind my jealousy... I love you... I'm not afraid to confess that anymore... I'm only afraid of losing you because of my stupidity..."

Jimin giggles a bit at that making Jungkook smile

"I love you... please believe me..."

Jimin nods his head as he wipes away Jungkook's tears gently

"I trust you Jungkook.. don't break my heart again..."

Jungkook smiles as he gently kisses Jimin's forehead

"Never! I could never hurt you again... I don't think my heart can handle seeing you avoiding me.... I'm just so sorry for realizing all this so late... I'm sorry for taking you for granted....I'm sorry for laying my hands on you without your consent... I'm sorry for treating you so badly... I'm s..."

Jimin pecks his lips suddenly making Jungkook shut up

"You talk too much" Jimin giggles making Jungkook's eyes soften

"I love you Jimin... so very much..." Jungkook says hugging the boy

"I love you too Jungkook" Jimin says hugging the man back

Jungkook pulls away after a few moments. He cups the boy's cheek gently

"May I?" Jungkook says, his gaze shifting between Jimin's plump lips and his eyes

"Yes...please..." Jimin says holding onto the hand resting on his cheek
