"How much longer?" Yoongi groans tapping on the table in front of him "....kids are annoying..."

Jungkook laughs "...just a couple more..."

Jeon Jungkook is a famous idol for about 9 years now. Currently he is in Yoongi's hometown, Daegu, judging an audition for junior trainees. Yoongi is a music producer who has helped Jungkook a lot throughout his career.

🎶"....All of my life, when I was struggling

You are all of my life, you filled me up

I tried filling myself up with other things

Jungkook's eyes widened hearing the song. That song, it sounded so familiar and nostalgic. It wasn't a song that the world knew, that much Jungkook was sure of but he didn't know why it made his heart ache. Was it because it was a sad song?

"...wow, was that song an original?" Yoongi is impressed with the boy who just performed on stage

"...I guess so..." the boy says "...I found the music tape in my appa's box labeled beautiful memories... appa said it was my dad who sang it for him..."

Jungkook's heart picked up pace "...your dad.... what's his name..."

"I don't know... appa won't tell me..." the boy pouts

"W-Why?"

"Appa said my dad got into a car accident and lost his memories.... my dad doesn't know that I even exist..." the tiny boy cries and Jungkook walks over to the boy to comfort him

"...if your dad is still alive... he deserves to know about you..." Jungkook says wiping the boy's tears

The boy shakes his head "...no... I can't... appa told me my dad is a famous idol and I shouldn't burden him..." Jungkook's throat felt dry "...the reason why I auditioned today without my appa knowing is to know about my dad... but now..." the boy sadly smiles "...I know I shouldn't have done this... my appa will be so disappointed in me..."

Jungkook felt his heart break at that "...it's okay... I will talk to him okay... he won't be disappointed in you..."

"Really?" The boy's eyes widen

"Yes" Jungkook chuckles "....what's your name?" Jungkook asks as they hold hands and walk off the stage

"Park Jungmin..."

Jungmin opens the door of his house and let's Jungkook into the house.

Jungkook takes in the layout of the house till his eyes focuses on the pictures on the bookshelf. That smile - Jungkook could feel himself palpitating

"Appa... look who came with me" Jungmin shouts making his appa rush into the living room

His vision blurs, his heart goes haywire when Jungmin points out the man to Jungkook

Jimin's eyes widen when he notices Jungkook next to Jungmin - it can't be him

"Appa... meet Mr Jeon Jungkook.. and Mr Jeon... this is my appa...Park Ji.."

"J-Jimin...." Jungkook struggles to say before his eyes roll back to his head and he blackouts.

The past

Jimin and Jungkook were boyfriends in high school. It was Jimin who encouraged Jungkook to apply as a trainee in BangTanHits, an entertainment company based in Seoul. Jungkook has never been interested in studies, unlike Jimin, and was always into arts and music. Seeing the boy's skills, Jimin convinced both Jungkook and his grandmother to give the opportunity a try. BangTanHits were auditioning for new artists at the time.

And just like Jimin had expected, Jungkook was accepted as a trainee. They missed each other due to them both being busy, Jimin with college preparations and Jungkook having long schedules, but they made their relationship work as best as they could. A year of training which included a lot of struggles, blood, sweat and tears, Jungkook finally debuted and he was an overnight sensation. People loved him. Jungkook would go months without being able to stay in touch with Jimin and the moment he had some free time he would rush into Jimin's arms for comfort. They were able to stay strong because they knew they only had each other.

Y/N, Jungkook's manager, tried hard to break the two up but Jungkook never agreed to it. Y/N wasn't against their love but she was afraid of the fans who had already started rumors about the mysterious man that Jungkook was meeting up with frequently. Jungkook isn't allowed to date as per company regulations. An idol always belonged to the fans.

During the height of Jungkook's fame, Jimin gets pregnant but Jungkook doesn't know yet. Y/N was the one who read Jimin's message about the pregnancy and she panics. Jungkook's phone was often with her when the man practices. She deletes all of Jimin's messages and then messages him with Jungkook's phone asking him to abort it. When Jimin calls back and keeps messaging as the boy doesn't believe that Jungkook would ask him to do so, Y/N gets a voice actor to imitate Jungkook's voice and then she sends Jimin a voice note

"Just abort it! Don't ruin my career and life! Don't contact me again!"

Jimin was heart broken.

"L-Let's break up then..." Jimin attaches a voice note as well

Y/N deletes all messages other than Jimin's last voice note for Jungkook to find.

Later,

Jungkook couldn't understand why Jimin wasn't answering his calls. He had just heard Jimin's voice message.

"Jungkook! Where are you going?!" Y/N yells anxiously

"J-Jimin ... he... s-something is w-wrong..." Jungkook wipes his tears as he rushes into his car to travel to Busan from Seoul.

That was when the accident happens and he loses his memories, but only of Jimin. The doctors said that it was a selective memory loss due to stress of losing Jimin, Jungkook's brain deleted Jimin as a defense mechanism. Jimin was the only one he had other than his grandmother and it hurt to think that Jimin was leaving him.

Jungkook's grandmother who was not in a good position health wise, begs Jimin to not meet Jungkook. She was brainwashed by Y/N, of course. The grandmother was made to believe that Jungkook meeting Jimin would cause Jungkook's health to suffer. She too didn't know about Jimin's pregnancy. Everyday, she could see that Jungkook was missing something or someone but she couldn't say anything in fear of losing him. Seeing her only grandson suffering, made the grandmother finally succumb to her weak heart.

Jimin at this time had already moved to his grandmother's house in Daegu, being reassured that Jungkook's grandmother and Y/N were taking good care of him.

The present

Jungkook and Jimin cry, hugging each other. Jungkook's memories were back as soon as he woke up after he had fainted.

"Jungkook! Oh thank God you finally answered the phone... where..."

"You lied!" Jungkook says making Y/N shut up

"W-What..."

"... I got my memories back..."

Y/N flies to Daegu to apologize to Jimin and Jungkook. No matter how much she begged, Jungkook fired her from being his manager. That made Jimin a bit upset being a naive innocent soul, but Jungkook wasn't ready to forgive her even if Jimin did

"....She has been with you through all the ups and downs in your life.. . don't fire her..." Jimin tells Jungkook as they sit in his house. Jungkook and Jungmin had been playing for a while to make up for lost time. The boy had fallen asleep on Jungkook's lap. Jimin gestures to the man to carry their son to his room.

Jimin wanted to talk to Jungkook. Jimin's naive self made Jungkook angry

"She was the reason why you suffered for years and the reason why our son had to go without his dad...." Jungkook was upset "...do you really think I will let her get away with this? Jimin..." Jungkook sighs "....Just for your sake I am not filing a case against her. She destroyed my life, she hurt my love. And for that I will never forgive her. Don't be so naive Jimin. If it was about me, then fine. I didn't even remember about you.... I wasn't the one who suffered.. but what about you? What about Jungmin? The pain, hurt and disappointments you went through... how will I ever be able to make up for it...? Jungkook sobs "... she made you think that I didn't want you or our child... How dare she make you feel like that?! How dare she make you feel so alone?! I'm hurt... I'm hurt Jimin... 8 years we have been apart! 8!" Jungkook's eyes soften when he sees the tears roll down Jimin's eyes "...how can I forgive her for hurting you and our son for 8 years...." Jungkook shakes his head "... I can't... I'm sorry..."

"You did the right thing..." Jimin hugs him and cries "...oh God...I missed you so much..."

"I missed you too" Jungkook whispers tightening his hold on Jimin's tiny body

Jungkook pulls away after a moment, reaching out to wipe Jimin's eyes"..may I..."

"I love you.." Jungkook cups his face

"I love you too..." Jimin says, his eyes closing when he felt Jungkook's lips softly moving against his
