Jungkook and Jimin were in an arranged marriage. Jungkook had started his own small business a year before he had met Jimin. They were like any other normal married couple - dedicating time to know the other. They were both from normal middle class families

Everything had been going relatively well in their lives, that was till Jungkook faced a huge loss in his company. He now had to stay late nights trying to bring back the few clients he had struggled to get in the beginning. It was a trying period for the newly married couple. Jungkook had lesser time to spend with his husband now and due to work stress, it lead to a lot of misunderstandings between the two

Jimin's concerns for the man were often misunderstood by Jungkook as him being incompetent and that lead to Jungkook being cold to the boy who genuinely cared about him

To make matters worse, Jungkook's new secretary Y/N was a cause for many of their misunderstandings. Y/N was interested in Jungkook and would often try to butter him and compliment in a non flirty way. She was smart and beautiful, which only helped her gain the man's attention. Not that Jungkook liked her in that way but her brains were much appreciated by him. She had previous work experience and hence connection with different clients.

Soon Jungkook started mentioning Y/N's name in whatever little conversation he had with Jimin, which really hurt the boy

Jimin had been taking a lot of breaks from work due to his own health issues as well as Jungkook's mom's health but Jungkook doesn't know that. Jimin didn't let the man know anything other than the fact that he was going to take a break from work - Jimin was working from home at a different consultation agency for now. Jimin hide it from Jungkook as he didn't want the man to be stressed about anything

Jungkook didn't know that Jimin also struggled just as much as him. In fact Jimin worked even harder. Jimin was the one who had been helping Jungkook ever since his company went down. Jimin also spent late nights aside from his own work stress to help his husband but Jungkook never knew that.

That was one of the reasons why Jimin's health was deteriorating and he had to quit his work and start a much less paying work from home job.

Unfortunately Jungkook only took it as Jimin having all the free time, enjoying his life without work pressures

The day they have a huge fight is when Jungkook is supposed to go to a business party for young entrepreneurs and their significant others and Jungkook decides to take Y/N instead of Jimin to impress potential clients. Y/N was seductive when need be and Jungkook wanted to use that to gain the attention of the older businessmen

"....you know what.. you are useless in business matters and these days it's like you forgot how to dress up properly... I would rather have Y/N by my side than you..."

Jimin was heart broken

"She makes you happy? Is that what you really want?"

Jungkook is silent. He didn't mean it in the way Jimin took things as. Jungkook was talking about the party but he knew Jimin misunderstood him and right now he was too tired and too egoistic to undo what he just said

Jimin left the house that night to go to his parent's house and Jungkook found himself being suffocated by the smaller's absence - it was a feeling he has never felt before and he didn't like it

It has only been 2 hours since Jimin left and Jungkook wanted the boy back immediately. He called Jimin but the boy's phone was off.

Jungkook contemplated on what to do next as he kept touching Jimin's things on the nightstand, tears already threatening to fall. That's when he notices Jimin's camera and out of curiosity and to see Jimin in action,Jungkook plays the videos on it

It contained videos of Jimin crying into the camera. The sight broke Jungkook's heart

Jungkook could see how hard Jimin was trying to smile in the video, trying to be strong ".... the only reason why I'm making vlogs is to remind myself that all this that I'm doing is for your smile... Jungkook ... for your happiness......" Jimin hiccups as he controls his tears "...I wanna give up so badly but for you.... I will do anything .. you made a mistake Jungkook... a huge one today... but don't worry Jungkookah...your hyung fixed it.... it took me a long time but I always got your back no matter what...."

Jungkook's tears fell as he watched many more vlogs on Jimin struggling to meet deadlines and act as if everything is okay. Jungkook checks his old emails dated according to the vlogs to see many of his projects were recreated into perfection by Jimin.

"I couldn't tell you your mom fainted today.... she went under shock and needed blood... I'm sorry I hid it from you... I just didn't want you to worry... after all by the time you got home, mom was fine..." Jimin wipes his tears in the video "....I'm sorry for not answering your call... at the time I was donating my blood to the hospital as a reserve ..."

How come I didn't know this? How come I was so blind to your love and pain? Why did you do this Jimin? Why? After everything I did to you.... you still helped me

Jungkook immediately goes to Jimin's parent's house to meet the boy. He begs the boy for forgiveness on his knees and Jimin does forgive him but Jungkook could see that the boy was tired of their relationship and just like that, their marriage ended - neither of them asked for a second chance - Jungkook knew he didn't deserve Jimin, he had hurt the boy so much that he knew he didn't deserve to even ask for a second chance

He had fired Y/N as his guilt consumed him

They were divorced for 4 years now, during which time Jungkook tried to distract himself from Jimin by overworking himself and not taking care of his health. Soon the man fell ill but refused to eat, worrying his parents. Jimin goes to meet the man. Jungkook hoped for Jimin to accept him again but that wasn't the case

".... don't be selfish Jungkook..... for once think of others not just yourself... mom is really worried about you...."

And that's when Jungkook decides to stop making everything about him and his pain. He started taking care of himself again, just for his parents and Jimin's sake. He had a couple of panic attacks in a year for which he had been institutionalized but he overcame them. In his mind he knew Jimin was the only one for him. Jungkook was ready to give the boy all the time he needed

Jungkook was in touch with Jimin's parents- always apologizing to them for mistreating their son. They had forgiven him, so had Jimin. Jungkook tried his best to get back with Jimin but things just felt awkward between the two men and soon Jungkook and Jimin stopped seeing each other over a year

A year later, the two met again at Taehyung's baby shower. Taehyung was Jimin's friend while Taehyung's boyfriend Yoongi was Jungkook's business partner

"J-Jimin...." Jungkook's eyes widen as he sees the boy he has missed terribly

"Jungkook..." Jimin smiles when he sees Jungkook walking towards him in determination

Jimin had moved out of his parent's house and that was how Jungkook and Jimin stopped seeing each other. No one would tell him where the boy had gone and now that he has finally met Jimin again, Jungkook didn't want to let the boy go again

Jimin also was in a similar boat as the taller. They both suffered for over 4 years missing the other in their lives actively. They were both punishing themselves for letting the misunderstandings grow this big.

"....Will you be able to forgive me and give me a second chance?" Jungkook asks, his eyes glistening in anticipation

"Yes..." Jimin smiles

Jungkook let's out a sob as he hugs the boy "....thank you....thank you.... I love you so much Jimin... I'm really very sorry for my past behaviors..."

"I know..." Jimin pulls away from the hug to wipe the man's tears ".. I love you too Jungkook... I never stopped..."

Jungkook smiles, a sad smile on his face "....then will you take back the ring and be mine again?"

Jimin gasps when he sees that Jungkook had been wearing his wedding ring all along. Jungkook takes out his necklace, hanging on it as a pendant was Jimin's wedding ring

"It's always been you... I just.... I just don't deserve you... but I promise... this time... I will treat you better.... I have already been working on myself for a long time now... I know this time.. I won't disappoint you..."

Jimin smiles handing Jungkook his hand for the man to slide on the ring

"I love you so much Jimin" Jungkook cups the boy's face, already leaning in to kiss the boy

"I love you too Jungkook" Jimin whispers against the man's impatient lips
