I apologize, again, for spoiling yet another good idea

Jungkook's first love was Jimin. Jimin was the man's junior in high school. They had interacted a couple of times related to academic quizzes and extra-curricular activities at school that they both participated in. Many a time the two were put together or Jungkook was asked to guide the younger boy. Both of them were smart and the teachers encouraged the two to help each other. Jungkook had fallen for the boy's innocence and kindness but Jimin had only aways treated the man with respect and Jungkook was hesitant to break whatever relationship they did have so far. They never hung out nor talked anything other than academics - Jimin didn't seem too uncomfortable talking about himself much and so the senior stopped trying. But that didn't mean Jungkook stopped loving the boy, in fact his love grew stronger.

Sadly though, Jungkook graduated and got into Seoul university while Jimin graduated a year later and studied in Busan University.

Jimin didn't have any social accounts but Jungkook would get to see Jimin's picture every now and then when Jimin's best friend Taehyung would post something on Instagram. Jungkook had made a profile just so he could follow the other boy to get to see Jimin somehow

Soon, the two were busy in their respective career paths but Jungkook never forgot the boy. Anyone who approached him, Jungkook would look for Jimin in them and so he ended up rejecting anyone who dared to ask him out

There was a girl Y/N who was obsessed with Jungkook and had tried her best to get with the man but of course he always refused and she also never gave up

"Please Jungkook... just one drink and I will stop bothering you..." Y/N whines

"You will never stop... you always say that..." Jungkook scoffs

Currently the two are at a hotel - it was their college reunion party and everyone in his year was there.

"Yea..." she chuckles "...you are right... but atleast for tonight I won't bother you..."

Jungkook nods as he accepts her non alcoholic drink. She then clicks their selfie and walks away as promised

Jungkook could feel his head spin. He was trying to get to the washroom to wash his face when he hears Y/N talk to some men about him. Struggling to keep himself up, he sees her pay them money to bring him to her by tonight.

Jungkook panics and rushes out with whatever energy he had left to his car. He still didn't understand that he had been drugged. He saw the men searching for him at the hotel and just as he managed to get in his car, they spotted him.

Soon it was a race on the road - Jungkook was driving away as fast as he could, seeing the cars following him

Jungkook manages to ditch them as he takes a sharp turn ahead of him, but unfortunately he hits someone who was trying to cross the road

Jungkook panics again

He struggles to get out of his car and tries to check on the boy while he dials the emergency number. His eyes widen, his voice cracks when he sees the boy's face

"J-Jimin?!"

"Sorry sir... the patient you brought in couldn't be saved..." the doctor announces and Jungkook's world collapses

He sat on the bench, unable to come to terms with the fact that he had killed his own love. He had always hoped to some day confess to Jimin, that's why he had moved back to Busan to get job. It hurt, everything hurt. He felt suffocated

"Sir, the police has confirmed through cctv that it was an accident and not intentional... they also checked your blood and found that you have been drugged with illegal drugs... based on your statements we also captured the person behind it... we are so sorry for the things you had to go through..."

Jungkook got depressed. He could never forgive himself. He couldn't even go to see Jimin after the accident, to bid him a final goodbye. He sat there in his dark room, staring into space, replaying the accident over and over again

"I don't deserve to live..." Jungkook whispers to himself

It's been 2 days after the accident

Jungkook looks at the blade in his hands and just as he decides to kill himself, he hears his door bell ringing followed by knocks

Who could it be? Noone visits me ever

Jungkook tries to ignore it but the person was persistent

Jungkook sighs in frustration and then opens the door, only for his world to come to full stop

Park Jimin was at his door

"Oh thank God you are okay..." Jimin hugs the man "...I hoped you would be staying at your old apartment after you moved back from Seoul and I was right..." Jimin says after pulling away from a shocked Jungkook

"A-Are you r-real?" Jungkook stutters

Jimin giggles "...no I'm a ghost..."

Jungkook's face loses color

Jimin's eyes widen "Wait! That was a joke!"

"But the doctor..."

"Can we talk inside?" Jimin asks and Jungkook leads him inside

Jimin sighs drinking the tea Jungkook made them

"...I just suffered a concussion after you hit me...I told the doctor to lie to you..." Jimin says making Jungkook frown ".....I know it was stupid of me but I was hoping you would come in and confess to me... and I would act like I woke up hearing that... but sadly you never came in..."

Jungkook is confused "....what makes you think I would confess?"

"....I know..." Jimin sighs "...Y/N... she had been constantly threatening me to stay away from you ever since you went to Seoul university, that's why I stayed back here and didn't follow you there like I had planned... I don't know how she got my number but she wouldn't shut up about me stealing you from her.... in a way that made me happy..."

Jungkook just stared at the boy, speechless

"I also kept dabs on you... I used to stalk your profile through Taehyung's to get to see your life.... I read your status that you would finally confess to your first love after you get a job and that your life would be in Busan from now... based on Y/N's claims I assumed you would confess to me... I had been waiting patiently..." Jimin says slightly blushing making Jungkook's heart skip a beat

"I love you Jungkook... I have from a very long time... I was insecure about myself when you always tried to be friendly with me... I couldn't believe that you would like me back, I didn't want to annoy you so I kept my distance from you and loved you from afar..."

Jungkook smiles as tears rol down his face "..I thought I lost you..." he hugs the boy "....please don't ever do that again... it's really not funny... If you didn't come just now... maybe you would have never seen me..."

Jimin pulls away from the hug "...what do you mean? Are you planning to go back to Seoul?"

"No.. I was going to hurt myself for killing my love..." Jungkook says making Jimin's eyes widen

"No! Oh God! I'm so sorry! I... I'm so stupid... I was... I read a lot of fanfictions and just played out a possible romantic scenario not raising that fanfics are called so for a reason..." Jimin sobs, his chest hurting knowing that if he had been a second late, maybe Jungkook wouldn't be with him right now "...I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."

Jungkook smiles as he pulls Jimin into a hug, calming him down "....it's okay now... please stop crying... we are both fine now... that's all that matters... God really wanted us to be together, that's why he made us meet again...." Jungkook cups the boy's face, wiping his tears "....I love you Park Jimin... will you be my boyfriend?"

Jimin lets out a wet giggle "Yes I will .... I love you too Jeon Jungkook"

"May I?" Jungkook asks, his gaze drifting back and forth between Jimin's lips and eyes

Jimin's gaze softens "...I'm yours Jungkook... you don't need permission to kiss me..."

Jungkook smiles, his bunny smile as he leans down to kiss the boy "...I love you so much Jimin"

Jimin gasps as Jungkook's lips brush against his "....I love you too Jungkook"
