Jungkook is the son of Mr and Mrs Jeon - CEOs of one of the biggest companies in Korea, Jeon Internationals.

Jungkook decides to portray himself as coming from a normal middle class family when he decides to go to Busan college. He had seen how people treated him in both versions he had displayed of himself - how people treated him badly when he acted like a normal guy and how the same people treated him as their bestest friend when they realised he was rich. He craved love but he didn't want the fake love he received from people who knew about his status. Jungkook wanted the person to love him who the whole him, which didn't include his financial status

That's how he joins Busan college, where he meets his senior Park Jimin

Jungkook wore pretty simple clothes - a hoodie and baggy clothes with huge glasses. He was easily targeted for being a nerd. He was a new transferee so people had their attention on him. The students passed hurtful comments every now and then, insulting him.

Jimin, Jungkook's senior happened to overhear some comments and decided to intervene.

"What is going on here?!" Jimin's voice booms through the hallway

"S-Sunbae..." Soobin stutters

"Are you bullying him?" Jimin's stern voice makes them panic

"N-No... never... we were having fun... right?" Taehyun says looking at Jungkook

The boy looks down

"What's your name?" Jimin says looking at the boy

"J-Jungkook..."

"Jungkook ah... did they hurt you?" Jimin's soft voice makes Jungkook's heart beat fast but he remains quiet

Jimin sighs "...I didn't expect this from you guys... he is a new transferee right? And this is how you treat someone who needs help? Is this what I showed you all when you first stepped into this college hmm?"

They all keep their heads down "...sorry sunbae..."

"Don't apologize to me. Apologize to him... Noone deserves to be treated wrong..."

The students liked Jimin. He was always kind enough to help his juniors with anything they needed and it hurt them that Jimin was disappointed in them so they stop bullying Jungkook

"Thank you Sunbae..." Jungkook bows his head

Jimin giggles "...you look so cute.." Jimin hugs the boy sideways before ruffling his hair "....call me Jimin..."

Jungkook looks down into the senior's eyes and smiles seeing Jimin's eyes disappear

Jimin liked the introverted boy and always stuck by him whenever he had the time

It was inevitable that the two slowly fell for the other

They were hanging out at the library, Jimin was helping Jungkook with a project. The boy excuses himself to grab a book. Jimin spots the book and grabs a stool nearby to reach it. Unfortunately the old rusty stool gave out on him and Jimin lost his balance. Jimin let out a scream when he felt unable to steady himself. Jungkook rushes to the next aisle to find Jimin about to fall so he runs and catches Jimin before the boy could make out with the floor, but the second Jimin's vulnerable eyes met his, Jungkook couldn't help but blurt out his feelings

" ..I l-like you Jimin... would you go out with me?..."

Jimin smiles "I like you too...and I would love to"

Jungkook wanted to confess his real identity especially when Jimin was the one arranging dates and paying for them. Jimin refused to let the boy pay as he assumed Jungkook was staying alone and his family was sending the boy the money. Jimin had a part time job so he didn't want Jungkook to waste his parent's money on their dates when Jimin was capable of providing for them

Jimin's eyes widened when one day Jungkook's parents sent him an invite to come to Seoul. He was surprised to see that they were going to send their private jet to pick up Jimin from Busan to Seoul. That's when Jimin came to know that Jungkook was actually a billionaire. Apparently Jungkook's mom was too excited about her son's boyfriend. She was definitely delighted that Jungkook found someone he truly loved and in a haste to know Jimin more, she invited him, completely forgetting the fact that Jimin didn't know Jungkook's real identity

"Hey babe..." Jungkook walks towards Jimin seated at the Cafe, he had gone to get their drinks "...what happened?" Jungkook asks concerned

Jimin's red eyes scare Jungkook

"Babe..."

"Are you the son of CEO Jeon?" Jimin asks making Jungkook's eyes widen

"I'm sorry baby.. I'm sorry, please don't break up with me..." Jungkook begged the boy after Jimin stated they should break up

They were both currently in Jungkook's apartment.

"You lied to me! You lied to me for months!" Jimin had angry tears in his eyes "...you know how much I hate liars! You knew that and still you chose to lie? Our whole relationship was based on a lie!" Jimin sobs "...I feel like a fool making you go on stupid childish dates and buying you cheap food and things.... your mom messaged me on how much you cherish my handknit bracelet over the expensive Chanel ones you have... I'm humiliated!... Do you even understand what has happened here? I feel so stupid!"

Jungkook knows how much Jimin hates lies. Jimin had told Jungkook about his ex who cheated on him and kept lying for months and then had the audacity to state that Jimin didn't match his status. Jimin hated rich arrogant people

"You should have told me the truth, Jungkook..." Jimin's defeated voice makes Jungkook cry "...your status would never have been an issue for me... what hurts the most is you hid the real you from me... I feel like such a fool now"

"I'm so sorry..." Jungkook says making Jimin smile slightly

"I know you are... I just need some time alone..."

"How much time?" Jungkook asks watching Jimin stand up to leave

"I don't know..."

And with that Jimin was out of Jungkook's apartment

Jungkook got depressed. He hated himself for dragging out the lie this long, it was initially to know if Jimin loved him for him as a person but he continued the lie even after knowing Jimin loved him, not for his money. His parents were worried for him. They felt bad for their son.

Jimin hasn't contacted Jungkook for 2 months now and Jungkook's mom has enough. She goes to visit Jimin

"What would you like to have today ma'am?" Jimin asks

"I want my son's happiness. Could you give me back my son's smile?" Mrs Jeon asks making Jimin's eyes widen

"M-Mrs Jeon?"

She smiles sadly "...I always hoped you would call me mom too, one day"

Jimin takes a quick break to talk to the lady in her car

"I apologize for my son..." she states and Jimin shakes his head

"Jungkook..." Jimin sighs "...he is not at fault... he lied for a good reason... I understand what you said... how people change when they deal with poor and rich people... I understand that Jungkook wanted someone who loves him back for who he is and that doesn't mean family status... I love him, I love him for who he is... I just... I just need some time to come to terms with the fact that I don't deserve him... he deserves someone so much better than me... someone on par with his status... I can never come close to that... I will only bring him down..." Jimin states making her chuckle

"You really love him, don't you?" She tilts her head at him, observing him "...you never blamed him for anything... instead you make yourself the undeserving one... that's where you are wrong..." she smiles "...he only deserves you... and you... you are the one who deserves someone better than my son... but me being the selfish mom, want you as my son as well... so Jimin, will you marry my son and be part of our family?"

Jimin is wide eyed as he takes in what she said

"Will you?" A voice startles Jimin. The divider between the driver and the back passenger seat opens and Jimin sees the man he has missed for 2 months now

"J-Jungkook?" Jimin has tears in his eyes

Jungkook exits the driver's seat and goes to Jimin's side. His mom leaves the car giving them privacy

"Jiminah... I missed you so much..." Jungkook says, his voice broken and Jimin hugs him immediately

"I missed you too... so much..." Jimin sobs and Jungkook let's out his tears as well "...I love you Jungkook... I'm sorry I even brought up the break up... I forgive you... will you forgive me as well?"

Jungkook pulls back to wipe Jimin's tears "..There is nothing to forgive... it was my fault... I love you so much... please give me a chance again...please..."

"Of course I will... who else will be Jeon Jimin?" Jimin teases

"W-What?" Jungkook has tears again in his eyes

"I love you Jungkook and I want to be yours..."

"I love you too Jimin..." Jungkook hugs the boy "...thank you..."
