A few weeks have past and Jessica has seen Sam around but tries to ignore him.
One day Jessica went to the mall with Sarah.

"Oh my gosh Jessica, there he is!"
"Who?"
"It's Sam! Right there! BE COOL!"

"I'm doing okay... Hey listen, my friend is having a party this weekend and you two should come."
"Us?  Really?!" Sarah says in a goofy voice.
Jessica elbows her and says, "I'm sorry, I have plans."
"What?  No you don't!" Sarah says as Jessica gives her a look for her to shut the hell up.
"Well alright, but if your plans fall through you can always come to the party.. It's at my place.  I hope I'll see you there." He smirks at Jessica.
"We'll be there!" Sarah yells as Jessica gives her a hard look.

"We are not going to that party!"
"What?  Why?!  I thought you liked him."
"Well I don't know... I don't anymore... I never really did, I just liked the attention."

Friday night

"Jessica, come on and get dressed we're going!"
"No we're not!  I don't wanna go."
"Why?"
"I just don't have a good feeling about him.  I don't know maybe I overthink everything but I'd just feel more comfortable if we didn't go."
"Alright fine, you win!"

A few months have past and Sam has taken the hint and slowly backed away.

Jessica runs into him at they grocery store and suddenly she feels a different way about him.

"It has, how are you Sam?"

"Pretty good.. So you have a birthday coming up, don't you?"
"I do, I'm actually having a party next weekend and I think you should come by."
"Well I'll try and squeeze it in!" She giggles and starts to move her basket away.
"Haha, well I hope you can make it, feel free to bring your friends too... It was nice seeing you again, Jessica."
"I'll be there, nice seeing you too." She smiled then turned around and let him watch her walk away.

Sam's birthday

Jessica shows up with Sarah and a couple other friends.

"Hey!  You made it!" Sam came up to her, "Yeah!  Happy birthday, Sam!" She hugged him.
"Well thank you, help yourselves to some food and drinks.. There's no parents here so drink whatever you want!" He laughs.

"Well don't mind if I do!" Jessica laughs and grabs a beer.
"Jessica, you shouldn't be drinking!" Sarah says.
"Do I look like I give a fuck?  No, now come on!  I hate to drink alone!" She throws Sarah a beer.

A few drinks later Jessica and Sarah are on the dance floor dancing with two guys.
The guy Jessica's dancing with had a cigarette in his hand.
When the music ends Jessica takes it from his hand and says, "I'll take this!" She takes in a long puff.
"Hmm.. And thanks for the dance."

She stumbles over to the bar to get another drink and Sam stops her, "It's my birthday and you have yet to dance with me." He pulls her back out to the dance floor.

With the craziness from the party Sam and Jessica manage to sneak away into his bedroom.

"It sure is." He sits beside her and moves a piece of her hair behind her ear.
Jessica looks at him shyly and takes a deep breath.
"You're so beautiful, Jessica." He smiled at her.
Jessica smiled back and shyly said, "Thanks."
"You know, when you smile your nose crinkles up like a little bunny." He says tapping the tip of her nose.
Jessica giggles and Sam leans closer.
Jessica slightly leans in and his lips meet hers.
They share a slow kiss and Jessica breaks it, "Sam wait!"
He looks at her confused at what she's doing.

"It's okay, I'll go slow." He smirked.

He goes back to kissing her and leans her back on the bed.

Jessica knocks on the door and says, "Hey Sarah.. are you in there?"

When she comes out she quickly closes the door behind her and looks at Jessica.

Jessica pats her back and says, "Ok we better get home, our parents are gonna kill us!" She starts the car.

"Bye honey, love you!" Jessica waves as she drops Sarah off at her house.
"Bye Jess, I'll call you later!"

When Jessica gets home she tries her best to sneak upstairs.

I think they're still asleep so if I can just get to my room and change into my pajamas I'll just tell them that I got home really late.

"Mom I don't care about that!  I'm not Anne!" She yells.
"Did you sleep with him?" She asks as her father stares at her awaiting the answer.
Jessica's lips curve into a frown then start to quiver as she looks at the ground.
"ALBERT, GO!" She points for her father to leave the room.

"JESSICA LANGE!  I am going to beat your ass.  That man is 24!"

"Jessica, did you use protection?"
Jessica just pouts and looks down.
"JESSICA!"
"Well he pulled out!"
"Oh my gosh, Jessica! Have I taught you nothing at all?! Do you even know his history? What if he gave you some disease?"
"Mom, it's fine.. Nothing's gonna happen! He didn't give me a disease!"
"I'm taking you to get tested for every test imaginable and if he gave you something, I'll kill him! If you're pregnant, I'll kill him! I should kill him for taking my little girls virginity!"
"Mom, I'm not a little girl!"
"Yes you are! If you're still living under my roof you WILL obey MY rules! Jessica, you are not allowed to see that man again, do you hear me?"
Jessica looks down and cries.
"I SAID, DO YOU HEAR ME?!"
"YES!" Jessica yells back.
"Don't you raise your voice at me little girl!" She lifts her hand and get closer to her.
"Jessica, you smell like smoke and alcohol."
"Well there was some at the party obviously! He's in his twenties!"
"Did you drink?"
"No!" She nods her head.
"Jessica! Look me in the eyes and tell me you didn't drink!"
Jessica looked her mother in the eyes and said, "I didn't drink." With a straight face.
"You're lying! And I know you smoked too!"
"Mom!"
"Jessica you've seen what alcohol can do to someone.. You're only 18 years old and as a parent it's my job to teach you what's right and what's wrong."
"I know... I'm sorry."
Her mom rolls her eyes and nods her head.
"Take a shower and get dressed, you look like a slut!" She rolls her eyes then slams the door.
Jessica sobs into her pillow before listening to her mom and taking a shower.

That night Sam calls,

Hey wanna go out tonight?

I can't, I'm grounded.

Grounded? For what?

Nothing, I'll call you tomorrow, okay?

Alright... I really wanna see you, Jess.

I know.. I wanna see you too..

Goodnight, Jess.

Goodnight, Sam.

After she hangs up with Sam she calls Sarah.

Hey, you grounded too? Sarah answers.

Oh yeah! Ugh! They act like I'm a kid, and my mom is so pissed at me.."

Same, but they only think I drank, they don't know about everything else so I'm not gonna tell them.

Well that's good.  Sarah, Sam was so amazing.. He was gentle, he made me feel comfortable.. There's no way my parents can keep me away from this boy.
