AMBER SAT LEANING up against the wall of an abandoned warehouse, a few miles from the city. After Bucky had been knocked out, Steve had stolen a car and drive to the nearest inconspicuous area.

Bucky was now currently, sitting across the room from Amber, his metal arm secured by an old piece of equipment. As he began to stir, Amber stood to attention.

"Sam, Steve" She alerted them, as Buckys gaze fell on her.

Sam and Steve walked briskly into the room, Sam stood beside Amber, and Steve went closer to his old pal.

"Steve?" Bucky groaned, making a feeble attempt to free his arm,

"Which Bucky am I talking to?" Steve asked with a straight face,

"Your moms name is Sarah" Bucky said lifting his head, "You used to wear newspapers in your shoes", he chuckled softly at the memory.

"Can't read that in a museum" Steve said letting a small smile form on his face.

"Just like that we're supposed to be cool?" Sam asked in disbelief,

"What did I do?" Bucky asked in distraught,

"Enough" Amber spoke gravely for the first time,

"I knew this would happen. Everything Hydra put inside me is still there" Bucky said miserably, "All he had to do was say those goddamn words".

"Who was he?" Steve asked, folding his arms,

"I don't know" Bucky said faintly,

"People are dead. The bombing set up, the doctor did all that just to get 10 minutes with you. I need you to do better than 'I don't know'" Steve said sternly,

Bucky looked lost in thought, "He wanted to know about Siberia, where I was kept. He wanted to know exactly where" he replied after a while.

"Why would he need to know that?" Amber asked curiously, beating Steve to it.

"Because I'm not the only Winter Soldier" Bucky said guiltily.

After Bucky has recalled his story, the four let the silence engulf them, taking in what he had just said. Amber had sat down in her previous position, lost in the thoughts in her head.

"Who are they?" Steve asked moments later,

"Their most elite death squad, more kills than anyone in Hydra history, and that was before the serum" Bucky said,

"They all turn out like you?" Sam asked, from the wall he was leaning against,

"Worse" Bucky replied bluntly,

"The doctor, could he control them?" Steve asked as if trying to piece the situation together.

"Enough" Bucky spoke faintly,

"He said he wanted to see an empire fall" Steve told Bucky,

"But these guys could do it. They speak 30 languages, can hide in plain sight, infiltrate, assassinate, destabilize, they can take down a whole country in one night and you'd never see them coming" Bucky informed them,

Sam abruptly walked towards Steve, and began talking to him in a low voice. Amber stood up and walked towards Bucky slowly.

"Hey," She said awkwardly as he looked up at the girl,

"I know you" was all Bucky replied with,

"I knew you too. You were my trainer back in Hydra" Amber said softly,

"You're one of their creations" Bucky hissed in fright,

"Yes... I am. I'm not proud of it but I can't change it, so for now I live with it. The Avengers saved me from Hydras clutches two years ago. But I could never forget the face that caused me the most pain and trouble" Amber said looking him in the eye,

"You're that little girl with the purple powers" Bucky said piecing his memories together,

Amber nodded, "Each day you trained me, tortured me and then proceeded to bandage me up and fix me after" she said shuddering at the memory.

"I'm sorry" Bucky mumbled,

"It's ok, it wasn't your fault. It was the Winter Soldiers" Amber said placing a hand on his shoulder lightly

"At this stage what's the difference?" Bucky said shaking his head,

"Bucky is nice, he cares for his friends. The Winter Soldier is a brainwashed lost man. See the difference?" Amber asked him,

Bucky didn't reply but thought about what the girl had said.

"Amber?" Steve asked, making the girl spin around to face him,

"Yeah?" She replied an octave over a whisper,

"We're leaving now" Steve told her indicating to the contraption that held Barnes' metal arm steady.

Amber nodded and raised her arms letting the familiar purple haze wrap around them, she urged her powers to lift the part trapping his arm.

The part slowly moved upward, and Bucky pulled his arm free. Amber let the part drop back down, creating a large banging sound making Sam jump.

"Sorry" She called out to him, wincing slightly,

Steve merely laughed at her actions, "Ok guys, the cars out back, buckle up we have a long journey ahead of us" he said.

"Yay! Road trip!" Amber said super speeding out of the warehouse,

"She never stops does she?" Bucky said with a faint grin on his face,

"Only when sleeping" Steve replied with a chuckle as they followed the girl, to the car.

Welp, there you have it. I'm sorry it's a short chapter, but I just don't have the energy. I have a fever and a vomiting bug, so I'm dying with sickness, so yeah that was a quick life update for you :)
