Nobody Wins When The Family Feuds

"Mom, whooped Yolanda's ass last night," Rocco said as he watched the fight video that Effie recorded and sent in the big family group chat.

Nettie shook her head.

"I can't believe Effie stood there and recorded it," Nettie said.

"What did you want her to do? Jump in," Rocco said.

"She could have stopped them from fighting outside the venue," Nettie said.

"After her mother called her useless like her father, she better be lucky Effie couldn't hit her mother," Rocco said as Rocco flinched at the punch Fran threw at Yolanda.

"Damn, I see where you get that swing from," Rocco said.

"It's getting spicy in the group chat," Nettie said as cousins were picking sides against their parents, who felt Fran shouldn't have beat up Yolanda. In contrast, Dannel, Messiah, Dahiana, and Iolany felt Yolanda needed to get snatched up as it was long overdue.

"Not Liosha saying Fran should have head-butted Yolanda," Rocco said as he read the message notification pop up on his screen.

"I guess Yolanda has been a pain in everyone's ass," Nettie said.

"Why Kayla said Yolanda needs to go to hell with gasoline draws on," Rocco said with a chuckle.

"It's Trinity saying Yolanda needs to go buy a vibrator for me," Nettie said.

"This group chat is going to be crazy all week long," Rocco said.

Nettie nodded.

"How don't know how we're going on a couples retreat with this family feuding?" Nettie asked.

Rocco shrugged.

"It's not like everyone is going; this is for the couples that were present for the Valentine's Day party," Rocco said.

"Yeah, but last night, Janay invited Eimy and her husband plus Effie and her boyfriend," Nettie said.

Eimy was Effie's older sister, and unlike Nettie and Cardi, those two did not get along and last night pushed the two sisters farther apart as Eimy believed Effie should have jumped in for their mother. At the same time, Effie said she would not fight her aunt for her unsupportive mother.

"She did?" Rocco asked.

"This trip is about to be so dramatic," Nettie replied.

"If you think these two will cause drama on the trip maybe you should sit them down and have them talk it out or something," Rocco said.

"Okay, Dr. Phil," Nettie said.

"Can we order now?" Effie asked as Cardi took her seat.

Effie had brought her best friend Nicole to lunch with Nettie as Nettie told her she wanted to get together and have drinks, so she thought it was best to bring the turn-up queen to enjoy drinks with her cousins.

Nettie had asked Cardi, Trinity, and Janay to join her to get Effie and Eimy to talk things out before the couples retreat. Janay thought it was a good idea as she did not want drama on the trip, and Cardi knew this conversation would end badly as both Effie and Eimy had terrible tempers. While Trinity knew someone would catch hands, she was prepared to get Nettie out of the way just in case anything popped off.

"No, we're waiting on one more person," Nettie answered.

"Who are we waiting on?" Effie asked.

"Tell her, Nettie," Cardi said to Nettie.

Nettie sighed.

"Okay, so I invited Eimy to join us," Nettie replied to Effie.

"Why would you do that? Why would you want you to blindside me with something like that?" Effie asked Nettie.

"Because you guys need to talk before we go on this couples retreat," Nettie answered.

"I have nothing to say to her," Effie said.

"Well, you better think of something because she's here," Trinity said.

Effie looked over her shoulder and let a sound of disgust at seeing her sister with her nemesis.

"Ugh...they're coming..." Effie said as she turned to look at Nettie. "Uhh, awkward," Effie added as she took a sip of her drink.

Eimy and Serena took a seat, and it was complete silence as no one was prepared for Serena to join them at lunch.

"You ladies doing okay today?" Serena asked with a fake smile on her face.

"What the fuck?" Cardi asked Eimy.

"What? There's no way I was coming here by myself, so you all could jump me," Eimy responded.

"Who the fuck would jump you?" Trinity asked Eimy.

"Effie and her sidekick, Nicole," Eimy answered.

"Bitch, please," Nicole said.

"Okay, before this goes left, I called you guys here to fix this problem before we go on this trip because we can not go to jail in foreign countries," Nettie said.

"I'm not fixing shit with this bitch," Eimy said as she pointed at Effie.

"This bitch has some fucking nerve," Effie said.

"Shut the fuck up," Eimy said.

"No, you shut the fuck up," Effie said.

"Relax," Nicol said.

"Stay out of it, Nicole," Serena said.

"No, I'm not going to stay out of it; at the end of the day, you guys are sisters, but you have no respect for your sister, Eimy; how can you sit here and have her enemy in her face like that?" Nicole asked Eimy.

"Why the fuck do you open your mouth?" Eimy replied to Nicole.

"We're trying to be civil here," Serena said.

"This is not going to end well," Cardi told Nettie.

"Nettie, change seats with me," Trinity said as she stood up to get Nettie away from the action.

Nettie stood up and moved to the end of the table, far away just in case.

"You guys want me to act like an animal," Effie said as she finished her drink and stood up.

Eimy stood up.

"You have no reason to be beefing Serena," Eimy said.

"She slept with my ex in my home," Effie said.

"He was never your man," Serena said.

Janay sipped her drink as everyone at the table knew the real tea that Effie was dating an NFL player; Serena slept with him because she was jealous of Effie. Instead of having her sister's back, Eimy sided with Serena, which led to a long-standing feud between the two sisters.

"Don't you feel played?" Eimy asked Effie.

"You're supposed to be my sister!" Effie yelled at Eimy.

"Relax!" Cardi shouted as she stood up, but Eimy ended up throwing the wine glass at Effie; then it went downhill from there as Effie charged at Eimy.

"You stupid bitch!" Effie yelled.

They started fighting, and Nicole and Trinity tried to separate them, but Serena jumped in and accidentally punched Trinity.

Trinity was pissed.

"Did you just hit me?" Trinity asked Serena before she punched Serena.

"Oh no! No! Stop it!" Cardi yelled, trying to get Trinity off of Serena as she started choking Serena.

"Shit! Rocco!" Nettie yelled in the direction of the bar where Rocco was sitting as backup.

Rocco jumped up and ran over and helped Nicole and Cardi separate the four girls from fighting.

"Stop it before they ban us from the place," Rocco said.

"This is not what I wanted," Nettie said.

"Ooh, thank you, babe," Cardi said as Maddox pulled her seat for her to sit down.

Maddox had planned a romantic dinner in the backyard after Cardi's stressful day as he heard from Rocco that the sit-down that Nettie had planned ended up in a fight with Cardi hurting hard as she tried to stop the fight.

Maddox hired a violinist to play in the background while they had dinner.

"You didn't imagine this when I said we were having dinner outside," Maddox said.

Cardi smiled.

"Not at all; I was like, what are we eating outside? But I love it. Thank you, baby," Cardi said as she leaned over and kissed Maddox on the lips.

"I know you had a stressful day," Maddox said.

Cardi sighed.

"Beyond stressful; my family is feuding, and I had a building inspection for the new hair salon," Cardi said.

"Nobody wins when the family feuds," Maddox said.

"I know," Cardi said.

She looked around the decorated backyard covered with lights and flowers.

"This is cute," She said.

"This is to show my appreciation for you, you have been working, and I know we need to. I've more times like this, so we don't end up in a bad place like we were in the past," Maddox said.

"Awe," Cardi said.

Maddox pops the champagne and pours some into Cardi's champagne glass.

"This is our night," Maddox said.

Cardi smiled.

"Cheers! To us," Cardi said.

"Cheers! To us," Maddox said.
