It's been four months since Cardi filed for divorce from Maddox. In those four months, Cardi moved to Beverly Hills and bought a grand and impressive Beverly Hills estate north of Sunset Blvd for her and the kids to live.

Things were looking great until her sister and friends' relationships started getting affected by Cardi and Maddox's ongoing divorce.

Nettie wanted to move closer to Cardi and her mom as she had never lived so far away from them before, but Rocco wasn't willing to make the move which made Nettie believe he sided with Maddox in the divorce.

Then the drama continued as Axel felt Janay was traveling back and forth between New York and Beverly Hills, which led to Janay staying in Beverly Hills and avoiding Axel.

While Quiava had made it known, that she was team Cardi; Jean had decided to remain neutral as he believed that Cardi and Maddox had a misunderstanding and needed to talk things out.

Princess and Zhan were not affected by the drama as they had five homes: Beverly Hills, New York, Miami, Manila, and Beijing, so they could visit Cardi and still be there for Maddox.

Cardi tried multiple times to get everyone to reconcile with each other and stay out of her and Maddox's divorce, but everyone felt the need to have her back as Maddox still had not made much effort to fix their marriage.

The least affected seemed to be the kids who understood that they now would have to split their time between the west and east coast.

Today is Kiari's birthday, and this would be the first time Cardi and Maddox would be in the same room.

Cardi planned the party while Maddox paid for it.

Nettie walked into the room as Cardi got Kiari in her princess dress for her party.

"Maddox is here," Nettie said.

Cardi nodded.

"Bring Messiah to him," Cardi said.

Janay cleared her throat. Cardi looked at her.

"Are you ready to see him?" Janay asked.

Cardi shook her head no.

"Nope, but this is not about me," Cardi answered.

Cardi and Maddox, the next day after celebrating Kiari's birthday, decided to have a sit-down to talk about their upcoming court date for their divorce.

Cardi walked outside the restaurant and picked a table with an ocean view, then waited for Maddox to arrive, which he did after a few minutes of Cardi waiting on him.

"Hello," Maddox said as he took a seat across from her.

"Hi," Cardi said.

"So," Maddox said.

Cardi took a sip of her drink and stared at the ocean.

"We don't have to go through with this, Cardi," Maddox said.

Cardi rolled her eyes.

"Four months ago, I would have jumped up and agreed with you, but you never reached out," Cardi said.

Maddox clenched his fist.

"I was respecting your wishes, Cardi; I never wanted this divorce," Maddox said.

Cardi rolled her eyes.

"I did it to teach you a fucking lesson, and you failed," Cardi said, getting angry that Maddox wasn't understanding the purpose of the divorce.

"What kind of lesson is that? I don't understand. I'm not used to that," Maddox said.

Cardi snapped.

"You are the one who got with a real bitch, baby, I'm from the hood; I'm not like them bitches you used to fuck with, Maddox. I live by specific values that I feel you did not uphold when it came to our relationship," Cardi said.

"Cardi," Maddox said.
