"So... do you want Wade here for this?" Vaughn asked the younger. Okay so that's actually not a helpful detail because they're both, Grey and Wade, technically younger but he's talking to Grey because grey looks younger and Wade looks older. If Vaughn honestly had a choice he'd take the chance to look a bit older. He was stuck in the body of a lanky teen for the rest of his life and yet here he was easily intimidated by a man that was ten years older and had well filled into his body with rippling, intimidating muscles.... okay so maybe being built was never going to be in Vaughn's future but a older appearance like an adult would be appreciated...
But he wasn't going to most likely be able to remain here long enough to need such features.
Grey just have him a Wade eyed look. The unsure awkwardness of a teen about to be given an important talk that he needed because he had made a poor decision and the mortification of having two adults there to witness it was just about all that was going through the teens mind which was rather unhelpful for an answer.
"I'm staying." Wade said, not giving Grey a choice to which Vaughn didn't object.
"How long has it been?" Vaughn asked as he moved Grey to sit back, prompting him to lay down even as he moved closer. Omega pregnancies are dangerous for someone who was having their first born. Vaughn himself hadn't ever become impregnated but in his times left with Max and her mother as his only socializers he'd learned much about his own kind from Darkfang. Only Palewings had omega males with the ability to have hatchlings oddly enough to Vaughn's discovery. He didn't question creation in that development. He personally didn't want to know. Personably he thought everything would be better If beings with penises stuck with just being the impregnators... humans are so lucky. Could you imagine the conflicts that would happen if more then the single gender could get knocked up? The world wouldn't be divided by male and female but rather those with wombs and those without. Everything would be both not equally and more fully divided because of this sadly enough.
"A few weeks." Grey said softly, glancing at Vaughn.
"I have to feel you to see if I can tell if there is anything wrong." The platinum blonde explained the teen who looked away, sending a glance at Wade whom remained silent as he watched. His eyes were dark and focused in the manner you'd expect from such a perfect assassin to assess a problem.
The omega pregnancy was only three months of carrying before the laying of eggs, though Grey, being pregnant by a human in his shifted form was most certainly promised to be victim to a more painful, dangerous birth. Vaughn wasn't entirely sure what the effects of being an endearing would happen. If Grey could be injured by the unusually large enlargement of his womb with a full child rather then a small(er) egg.
Grey's shirt was pushed up to reveal an already well distended stomach. He could feel the presence of the small infant inside. It didn't have any dull thoughts. It's mind only capable of understanding feeling and muffled sounds. It was learning even as the spoke, memorizing the voices it was hearing. Vaughn smiled softly as it's mind filled with a happy warm at the sounds of the two new voices in the room, finding them pleasurable.
Grey was watching him carefully, continuously sending over shy looks towards his second parent. Vaughn himself was seen more as a distant uncle sort of figure where as Wade and Peter were closer. He could live with that from Grey though. He himself hadn't been entirely interested in raising him. His instincts had told him 'No. He isn't yours' so he listened and didn't reason. Grey belonged to Max then, but now to whom he belonged was a scattered, tangled mess.
Vaughn placed his hands gently on Grey. Not denying the awkwardness of this action though it needed to be done. The infant needed to be position correctly and he needed to be sure nothing inside of Grey was being injured.
He began to wish be could block out Grey's thoughts as pressed gently enough to try and feel the infant, but one can not tell someone to stop thinking because it's nearly impossible.
A small fluter was felt under his palm, Grey ever so slightly jolting in surprised from the odd feeling that had occurred within him.
"What was that?" Grey gasped. There was the color of worry swirling within his thoughts as he tried to reason what it was.
"Wings. Very small wings. They were practicing beating them." Vaughn explained.
"Just like a baby will practice breathing to strengthen its lungs to be ready to accommodate air." Wade added.
Vaughn nodded. "I concur."
Wade smiled. It wasn't often he was praised by someone other then Peter for his thoughts.
"Is it a boy or a girl? Can you tell?" Grey asked.
"No. I don't have the ability to see through you and an infant doesn't understand gender. That is something only society teaches." Vaughn said. "...Though my guess would be a girl."
Grey gave a half smile. It was the most positive reaction he'd given towards any thoughts of the infant he feared and wasn't prepared for.
Getting rid of the life wasn't an option for Grey though. He would die with his child if he tried to get rid of it. If by then he would never be allowed to kill the life, not with Wade or Vaughn at knowledge of the infants existence.
"Grey everything is going to work out fine. You don't need to worry." Vaughn assured as he looked back up at Grey, moving his hands away to replace the shirt where it belonged.
The adolescent nodded silently. A small shimmer of hope blooming in his mind.
