Max

"What's you're name?" Her soulmate asked. His eyes were looking at her differently now. They didn't gaze at her judging and unconfident in this match.

"Max." She answered after a long pause. She didn't want to trust this person yet. She would never normally give her name to anyone even if it was real nor did it really give anyone any form of advantage. One thing it did do was give people means of finding her and that was enough of an excuse to detour her from handing it out.

She saw he was waiting for more, a last name, maybe even a middle. "That's it. I don't have a last name." She explains to him, not likening the expectant gaze.

"What do you mean you don't have a last name? Everyone has a last name." He said clearly not convinced, trying to call her statement a bluff.

"I mean that I'm not someone who exists."

"You have to. Everyone knows that every stopwatch has a name of its pre destined owner on it. If you have one then you have to be documented." The male objects. He won't understand. Max should leave, this argument was the purpose of his reason to stop her. She have him and inch and he took the mile.

"There are three without stated owners. In the world."

"Well technically now there's two, last year someone was able to claim one for-" the dirty blonde snaps his jaw shut as he looked at her oddly. "You're shitting me right?"

"Well I would say no for the fact you aren't coming out of my ass." She responded, her tone clearly snappy and a warning hidden within.

"Oh." Is the only answer she get in response before he starts again on the actual topic. Obviously her identity mystery wouldn't be invited after this. It would surely come up quite quickly if they didn't Part ways after this. "I'm Jaden. Jaden Dumas." He offered an awkward hand shake.

'That's truly romantic. I'm just bending at knees I'm so flattered. I might just faint.' Max mental exclaimed as she shook the offered hand. After wiping the dampness from her hand that hadn't been there before she met his hand.

"Thank you." He continued after hiding his hands in his coat.

Max concluded in the next two seconds that this ones embarrassment isn't nearly as adorable as Vaughn. Vaughn was her blonde and if this guy wanted a place on the leader board he better dye his hair purple.... well actually now that she looked at his hair his roots look brown like he has dyed his hair. She frowns not sure what to think of that. It just seemed odd for a man to dye his hair, and unless this was Niall Horan or, oh right. This one she'd concluded before had probably had an emo stage. Her head tilted as she tried to imagine this one with black hair.

"Wait, I saved you from what now?"Ax asked, stopping herself from paying attention to his hair to instead completely concentrate on her....soulmate's words.

"You saved me. From basically being cut in two. He told me I should thank you and I am." He repeated himself.

"Who said this?" She asked her bluish, grey gaze intense and focused on the younger before her. He was likening the no height difference. She would give him that.

She could surely find more qualities about him that were appealing but even so he couldn't be a suitable mate. Not in the way her instincts wanted anyway. Internally she knew she was supposed to find another wing with markings that impressed. She wants to learn of him, to get to know him but as long as he was human with no qualities her instincts demanded then her body would never identify him as a possible mate. It wasn't something she could control and was simply a part of the natural instructions given to her to learn to survive and keep alive.

"Deadpool. At least I think. Unless there's more then one maybe? I don't know. Sometimes I get things wrong but when we- when he was trying to kill me he swing and it was deflected by the timer."

"You dodged his attacks and managed to block his final blow? And your arm was strong enough to not falter?" She questioned in disbelief as he gaze swept over him again. "Are you a mutant?"

"No." He answered quietly. She couldn't scent any tallies from him as he spoke, not even the hint that perhaps he didn't know.

"That's very impressive Jaden." She said. She needed to bring him to Wade. For what ever reason she needed to have more reassurance if this ones abilities. She wanted them displayed. She should-

No. No she can't go back. She can't trust them and she won't go back. She'll-

....what will she do?

"Do you want to go get some food? It's on me, if your not busy." Jaden said as she thought. When he had started speaking he had given him her attention and was warmed by the offer.

Maybe he wouldn't be a terrible option...
