~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wade." Peter whispers happily when he sees Wade walk into his room. For the first time in weeks he would be able to see Wade, touch him, respond to his voice with his own.
The Mercenary doesn't seem to notice Peter's conscious state as he walks around the Arachnids bed, not hearing the almost soundless vocalization of his soulmate whom hadn't used his voice for many months after remaining in a response-less state hardly alive, only chords and tubes lumping in liquids and keeping his heart and lungs working allowed him to live to this point. To the point of seeing his husband again.
"Hey." Wade says softly making Peter's bright Hazel eyes brighten before quickly dimming as he realizes Wade isn't talking to him. The newly awoken arachnid watches in dismay and betrayal as his Mercenary sets down and straddles someone else's lap who was sitting in one of the chairs set on the right wall of the room.
"Hey." The blonde says quietly back, the pair paying no mind to Peter as he watches the pair exchange a soft kiss initiated by the larger man, his rough scared hands rest at the shifters shoulders. He moves one to cup a smooth cheek.
Resent boils up within Peter's chest as he watches violet eyes flutter shut, a small sound of appreciation resonating  from the blonde.
"Wade." Peter says again, as loud as he can. His voice conveying his betrayal and sadness. The pair jerk away from their shared kiss to look over at Peter. The smaller of the two's eyes widen in guilt at being caught. Even worse though, Wade moves off of the other and walks over to Peter's side.
"Hey Baby Boy." He says cooly like nothing ever transversed.
"What was that?" Peter asks, having not the strength to be angry yet and settled with the tears that desired to stream down his cheeks
"It...Peter it's not-"
"What it looks like?" Peter snarls as best he can, resulting in himself going into a coughing fit. "What kind of lame, sick person are you? Wade your my husband, you're loyal only to me."
"Peter it's not something that I want to explain right now. I'm nit denying anything. You know I don't lie to you." Wade says as he gently places his hands on Peter's biceps.
Peter shakes his head. "Yes you do. You do it every time you promise me something. You're leaving me. Again. And then you said you wouldn't and that I'm the only apple of your eye but there you were. Making out with someone who should be dead. Should have stayed dead." Peter counters.
Wade doesn't comment as he looks at the wall to Peter's left, looking like he was trying to calm himself, or perhaps stop himself from showing weakness to the true, harsh statements.
"We'll talk later Peter. When you've calmed down, when your stronger and the doctors say it's alright."  Wade says before moving away from his soulmate. "Come Vaughn." Wade says as he goes towards the door. Peter is cast one last look of apology before the door shuts.
It's only like seconds past when the door opens again. Peter no longer stranded to his bed. He can't pin point how or why he's in clothes or the reason he can't remember anything about the doctors but that doesn't seem important now as Wade walks in. Both are silent As the Mercenary sits down next to Peter who sits at the edge of his bed, back to the door.
"Peter-"
"Please don't tell it's nothing...please just say I'm dreaming. That it wasn't real by the least." The arachnid says my looking at Wade, not noticing the jumbled, incorrect placement of his words.
"Peter. You were gone for a long time. You left me alone, and before that you left me to take care of you on my own. Without any support. You kicked me while I was already down and then forced me to stay there, unable to raise myself because you'd fallen down on top of me and figured I could carry you despite not being able to help myself. Peter, I found what you had taken from me when you ruined everything. I found someone who could be that support I needed. Vaughn offered his hand down and I took it."
"But you were the one that made me fall Wade. You were the one that left when you said you wouldn't, said that you would never leave me alone like everyone else had. You brought this upon yourself, don't punish me for it. Please! I'm sorry that I couldn't be there for you! I'm sorry that I am what I am! I'm sorry that your stupid decisions ending with you dead caused be to become mentally unstable as a child and accidentally get poisoned by a genetically altered, a
Radioactive spider!"
"Peter-"
"Don't Peter me! Don't look at me! You've lied! You've lied and been more selfish then I've ever been because you think I did this to you on purpose! If I could change it all I would! Just leave! I don't want to look at you right now." Peter cries out as he turns away from his mate. From his husband. His love. Soulmate.
"If that's what you want." Wade mutters like this was something he had to reluctantly do and found pointless as he turns away.
"It's not what I want! It's not anything I'll ever wish for Wade! You've lied! Lied to be again and you promised!" Peter screams after him even after the door had shut.
"... you promised." He whimpers as he curls his legs up to his chest as fat, got years steam down his face.
When Peter wakes up again, He can feel the choking pressure of a feeding tube and the steam of air in his nostrils. The utterly disgusting feeling of an IV in his wrist and the sound of the pump. He can't open his eyes. He can't move. But he can feel. He can feel Wade's head and warm on his thigh as the man sleeps in a chair directly next to him.
He was dreaming. It all was only a dream. He's still stuck here. Alone but not betrayed. It's okay.
It's okay....
