Peter got out. S.H.I.E.L.D. Never took into consideration that Peter had webbing. He had never tried to use it beforehand and had in all never displayed he even had the ability to create silk without his synthetic materials. The walls weren't designed to withstand the tension of the pulling web lines and the force of the Super using the combined strength in a complex gemological equation to force the weakest point in the window to break and managing to get himself, his soulmate and the child out. They had discovered on their way out why Grey had been bound. Despite Max's declarations that the child was anything but a shifter he had proved them wrong by displaying he was a far better and Shield and weapon then any vibrinium Frisbee With his pristine white scales. Even so that still didn't solve the fact that they didn't have anywhere to go or anyway to support themselves. To just add to the issues they had a child they had to protect whom they couldn't even speak to.
Peter was trying. He was trying so hard to stop himself. He was slowly starving himself and now he didn't have anything. He was both starving from giving his portions of food they would manage to get to the child while Wade didn't eat at all. His healing factor keeping him up and going when Peter couldn't even stand. To say in the least they had hit an all time low. Peter, before they had finally left the city went to aunt May and explained what was happening. He explained who he was, What he was, who Wade was. Everything he had done, Uncle Ben, Gwen, how he killed MJ and all those innocent people. How he had stolen their cat... from a dead man but still. And then begged her to take Grey. They couldn't support the child any longer and couldn't risk getting the young shifter harmed. Peter never wanted any of this to happen as it did. He wished he could have told Aunt May under better conditions, that he wouldn't have had to give her so much information so quickly. Maybe he could have avoided that pained look she gave him when he explained what had happened to Ben, or the Pity she gave him when he told her he was Spider-Man. He wished he didn't have to dump a child on her but if worse came to worse she could bring him back to where he could be taken care of at S.H.I.E.L.D....
"Peter where are you going?" His mother figure asks as the couple stand in her door way with a backpack of their only possessions mainly consisting of food that they had just been given by Peter's only surviving, and generous family member.
"I don't know." Peter answers, not looking at her in the eye in fear of seeing disappointment. That's all that he has always been fearful of from her. Disappointment. He had always tried t be his best for his Aunt and Uncle. He had learned early on that they were all he had... Now she is all he has other then Wade. He doesn't have Spider-Man. He doesn't have the city or the avengers. Only these two people.
"Peter look at me."
"I'm so sorry Aunt May. I never meant for any of this to happen. Maybe if I hadn't tried to figure out who-
"Peter." May says pulling Peter's chin up so he would look at her. The young man looks up at her with tears on the rims of his guilty, hazel eyes. "You promise me that you will fix this. And that you will come back home." She says looking down at him sternly and with all seriousness with her nephew. "I want you home. Soon. I want my Boy and his husband back. I want you to bring New York back her and her people's Spider-Man. And I want this Tony Stark's personal phone number immediately if not sooner. Do you understand?" She says in a tone she hadn't used on Peter since he was lying to her about who is in high school. In a parental warning that meant punishment if actions weren't fulfilled.
"Yes Ma'am." Peter answers quietly as his parent pulls him in for a tight hug that pushes the air out of his lungs.
"You promise me."
"I promise." Peter says.
"No, Peter I wan't real ass promise. Not that promise you always used to use when you said you'd remember to bring home eggs." May light heatedly snaps, still not having let go of her son. "Peter. Please promise me you'll come home."
"I'll try aunt May. I promise I will. I'll die trying if I have to."
"No you wont." She assures.
Behind Peter Wade knelt by Grey, using aunt May's phone to try and translate what he's trying to tell the child that had significantly grow within the time period Wade and Peter had spent trying to avoid just about everyone that they were leaving him here with May. Grey shook his head and repeated the question why.
Peter's heart was further crushed as he realized that he was watching his own life repeat in the form of Grey's. watching from a different perspective as a five year old is being left behind to someone who isn't his parents
"It's okay. We'll be back." Wade promises as he hugs the tearful child.
"I'm so sorry." Peter whispers to his aunt as she seems to catch the recurrence too. "I promise we'll come back. We wont disappear." like my parents, he wanted to add.
Aunt May sadly shook her head while trying to wipe away tears. " Please don't test fate Peter."
