"Are you sure he's okay?" Peter asks as he glances towards Vaughn's containment. The shifter hasn't yet moved from his position in his own bed.
Peter looked over still wary of the red stains on the white sheets of the bed in a tense silence. His mouth salivating at the idea of smelling the iron rich liquid.
"-don't get it." ...apparently Wade had been speaking without the arachnids attention. "What's the reason for these? Why of all of us did they look closely up the kid?"
"Well id ask him but... you know." Peter shrugs. He honestly wasn't completely capable of pay my attention to the conversation fully as he stared at what he wanted. All that blood. Just being wasted. God is he could just suck on the sheets like some weirdo he'd be okay with that too. "Wade. I'm happy you don't have periods."
Wade freezes in his and gesture as he spoke to look at Peter. "Me too? Peter are you okay."
"Dear lord. What if I had a period? How would that work?"
"Um I don't know but I feel like we've had this conversation before-"
"Have we?" Peter asks still staring out the window
"Peter can you focus for a second?" Wade asks softly while turning Peter too look at him. The young genius was so capable but so easily distracted. "We need to know why These were used." The Merc says setting the restraints he had been fiddling with in Peter's lap. "You can feed later. I promise."
Peter looked down at the objects on his legs before picking them up to observe. "They're reinforced to withstand the force of an advanced."
"Much weaker then you obviously."
"My abilities haven't been tested to their limits. That's why I'm given a secure room rather then tethers." Peter mumbles as he looks the gear over. "But to put a child in this is insane. It's not like Grey has displayed any signs of superior strength. And even so if he was then this would still be over doing it. He's only a child."
Grey turns towards Peter at the mention of his name from across the room where he lay, using a pile of stuffed animals as a bed. Peter was mildly offended he was laying on his Deaddies but ignores it for the sake it's a five year old and he had plenty more. When the child sees that he isn't being called forth he closes his eyes once more to nap.
The arachnid turns away once more distracted as he glanced towards the blood. He can almost imagine that he can smell it. The metallic, mouthwatering scent of blood.
"Peter. Over here." Wade says pulling Peter's attention reluctantly back to his soulmate once more. "Come here." Wade says pulling Peter by the hips to come sit on his lap.
The arachnid doesn't question as he climbs up willingly onto the mercenary's thighs. He hides his cold nose against the crook of Wade's warm neck.
"Peter." Wade says again pulling the arachnid away too look at him. He sends a glance towards the child to ensure he was asleep before again allowing Peter to gaze into pristine blue eyes. "You can feed now." Wade says knowing that Peter wouldn't be supplied with blood here.
"I don't want to." Peter whispered.
"Neither do I Peter but you need to."Wade says holding a scared hand softly against Peter's smooth cheek. "Please."
"Wade." The arachnid whines in distress. Spider and Peter both have learned over time the consequences of this and didn't want to injure their soulmate. Didn't want Wade to suffer. Peter could smell the fear and discomfort of the mercenary durning this.
He doesn't want to hurt Wade. Not for any reason any more.
"Peter please. You know what will happen if you don't. Don't you remember what it was like when you were in here alone?"
'You were crazy and made me the sane one. You've made me the caregiver now Peter. You were supposed to be there for me, to be my rock but now we're both struggling to keep our heads above the water.' Was the silent message. 'You're supposed to be the one who tells me what to do, who teaches me the right and wrong. You're supposed to be the hero Peter. Not me.'
Peter closes his eyes.... he is supposed to be rock. He used to be the rock for Wade's sanity. Wade had always been here, let Peter hold tight through his fears and finally his melting point as he changed and revealed what was inside that messed up, intelligent mind of his. Peter was pulling Wade down with him because he's not there for Wade anymore. He isn't that dominant figure holding Wade upright.
"Peter, Please." Wade whispers as he pulls Peter down so his lips graze the spot were flood would be drawn.
Peter inhales Wade's scent before slowly pulling away again. "No, Wade. It's time that I find control over myself again."
"But Peter you need-"
"To be there for you." Peter cuts in. "Wade I've done it before. I can control myself, but it all starts with the choice to stop. That's what I'm choosing here and now Wade." Peter says before grabbing Wade's left hand. "You've told be that this ring is a promise. Well a promise goes both ways with trust and loyalty. Wade, I trust you with my everything, you've stood here loyal for me this ride and now it's time for me to pick up on my part. Wade let me be here. Be he truthful to the promise I made to never harm you. Please." Peter says kissing Wade's rough textured Cheek before pulling away to look at his husband closely. "Please Wade."
Wade looks back into Peter Hazel eyes for a long moment before nodding. "Yes Petey." He says before pulling the arachnid in for a tight embrace.
"I love you." Peter whispers in his ear with a small smile.
