~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Peter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Peter wakes slowly, the sound of traffic enough to keep him from fully falling asleep again as he closes his eyes to lay in the warm sunlight shining past the wall of tall buildings and into the the small apartment. He lay facing his soulmate, snuggling in closely.
He slowly opens his eyes and pulls away a bit to look around the room and stiffens in confusion as he glares around at the unfamiliar room before remembering what happened the night before grimacing. He tries to move, but stops at the realization their cat was draped across the hip he wasn't laying on. She somehow hadn't woken from all the blood draining to her head or from slipping off from his normal unconscious movement at night.
He moves to slowly pull the limp, lazy cat off of him to drag her up the blanket to his chest by hiding her between himself and Wade. He smiles at the cat as she distracts him from having to remember what he had caused last night as she roles onto her back to cutely show off her belly to him in a temptation for him to pet. He complies by stroking her white underside, getting her to relax and lay her head back so be could scratch under her chin before stroking down to her tail as she limply lay on her back.
He glances up to see Wade watching him. The arachnid pauses, wondering how long the other had been awake before smiling in a sleepy manner.
"You finally awake?" The Merc asks as he moves some of Peter's messy hair out of the way of his eyes.
Peter nods as he stops petting the cat to give his attention to his husband instead. Pontufe stops her purring after a long second of not feeling any peting, glaring up at Peter as she opens her eyes before turning over to her side.
Wade smiles at her too before turning her over to play fight her with his hand carefully, but still in a rough play. She reacts to the play by curling up around his hand to pretend like she was going to scratch him while keeping her claws carefully sheathed in her paws as she lightly bites to his wrist to 'kill' or defeat her playmate. Suddenly the small cat roles away from the hand to jump up and swat at Wade nose on her way by to run past and jump over Peter. The sound of a wound up cat running around , or perhaps and elephant.
"Wade." Peter uselessly tries to scorn.
"What?" The other asks completely oblivious to what he could have done wrong now. It wasn't odd for him to rough up the cat before letting her loose to terrorize the house. I liked watching her toys and literally jumping off the hallway doors.
"She's going to get in trouble."
"No one's going to get mad at a cat for being hyper."
Peter shakes his head with a smile before looking over as the door to the only bedroom opens. He sits up quickly at seeing that Max isn't the young adult walking out of the room with the child following behind. He quickly looks back at Wade who had somehow already had time to pull his mask on in what seemed to be an impossible short period of time.
"You bought Pontufe with you?" The stranger asks on a happy note as he ducks down to crouch near the frolicing cat like he's never seen a feline before.
"Who are you?"Peter asks immediately.
"More importantly how do you know our cat's name?" Wade asks in immediate hostility that the stranger was petting his beloved pet as He quickly rises.
Peter sat up also but stopped in his action to confront the stranger as he noticed Wade's suit dried with old blood that he knows wasn't there before the other had left at some point the day before. He had known that he had been able to smell the iron rich fluid but hadn't been sure what it was from. In a female's home it could be something other than a wound and he didn't want to ponder it too long.
Peter quickly rises and turns around to see the light blonde staring at him with a half amused and plain weird look. "She isn't human. It works differently."
"Who are you?" The arachnid counters, ignoring the idea that the other could be a telepath and that statement had been directed at him as an explanation.
"The Resource," The blonde answers. To Peter's disatisfaction the other was also taller than him. Seriously. He's Pretty sure he's the only male he knows that's under six foot. Happens though when everyone you know is super something.
"The resource?" The arachnid repeats skeptically. "Is that supposed to be some sad codename that-" Peter stops. "Wait"
