Max

The plan would be to to remain stationary. They wouldn't relocate unless there was a direct reason to... meaning they would wait for a team to come after them before they would take action. Of course they weren't unprepared. They had confirmed to have a procedure (if you want to call it that) to follow if something did call for them to abandon their lives.

It was decided that Peter hung up the spandex. Spider-Man would be in absence for-.... well ever as far as they were aware. Wade's suit wouldn't be far behind if they had to relocate. Deadpool would be unheard from (believe it or not) if he had to go underground.

They had already started planning it. Tony would have Max buy an apartment with cash so the transaction wouldn't be traceable. Using a fake name and identification, not that she has a legal one, the apparent would be under her ownership. She on her free time would be in charge of getting the necessities for the place with financial support from the Mercenary because he 'won't let Stark buy every fucking thing just because he's loaded.' That's how Wade put it anyway.

The place wouldn't be extravagant because it was a back up incase all went to shits and wouldn't be nicely prepped until they were sure they would have to stay there for a long term.

So that's what Max is doing now. She's house hunting. Fucking. House hunting. And she couldn't even use a computer or phone because then she would be trackable on the net. She had more money in shoved into her hands then she would ever care to count before told to 'have a ball. Girls like looking at homes.' .......No. No one in their sane mind likes to walk around in cold spring air when it was drizzling out looking for a realtor place she could arrange a meeting hopefully today.

Max huffs. "You know, you'd think-" then she stops as she stares blankly at the rain in front of her. She forgets she's alone. She glances towards her wrist hidden in her sweatshirt pocket wanting to pull it out and look at the glowing red numbers to try and remind herself of the wonder of having someone out there waiting for her. Or maybe she's the one waiting?

The dragon carries on, leaving her thoughts behind to disperse in the cool rain. There's always a chance she will forever be waiting. Something could happen. She had never been particularly lucky....

she really wishes her friend were still whispering in her mind. She never realized just how much she relied on him for company, or any real social interaction. She wasn't demanding when it came to being social being quite the reserved creature she is. But everything is cold now. When you have no one to talk to. It's been hardly a month since she's been alone and yet everything was empty. She couldn't stay around Peter. She knew he didn't like her for company after forcing him to stay in containment for so long despite her efforts to male his stay less torturous. Wade was an option but sometimes she didn't feel comfortable being around the others mate without them both present. It was an instinct to not go near another's mate in case they thought you would try to steal them. Of course humans didn't quite- or always have this reaction but it was a code hardwired into her survival skills. Otherwise she just didn't get along with others. She was kind and trustworthy around the pair. She was viewed by outsiders as cold and dangerous from how she acted around them. But she didn't trust them either. She's stuck in a sad median where she can't win. If she could maybe get Peter to accept her she could fulfill her desire for interaction by standing silently while listening to the monologue of anyone's but her own.

What if she couldn't get alone with her soulmate? It wasn't ever really her choice to choose if she liked a person or not. The fate of curiosity had created her acceptance to unknowingly adopt the arachnid and mercenary as what her unconscious mind thought of as family. It had taken Vaughn many times over to prove himself to her to be trusted. It didn't Happen over a week either. It took him many months, almost a year while he was alive to be fully accepted by the slightly older female.

What if she scared them away when they figured out she wasn't human? If they where to actually stay long enough and not be hurt by her unchangeable distrust they would Surely notice that there's something off in her small movements and reaction to sounds, or her obvious not human behavior when it can to sleeping habits with her best of blankets and traction to soft things and hiding special things in the tangle of blankets and pillows to keep it close.

And not to mention the claws, wings, eyes, sounds, and advanced senses. Or the whole idea of her turning into a completely different organism. If that wasn't a turn off then she didn't know what else would be if her attitude wasn't an issue.

She sighs. The world is cold and sad. Always against you.
