"Taehyung? Wow, I haven't seen you in a while." Mina beamed at him, putting the canned tuna into her shopping basket before moving towards him. Taehyung was surprised to see a familiar face around here. Especially someone from his old class.

"It really has been a while." He smiled, also turning to face her. He'd liked her. Just like his two best friends she had always been a bit shy but had actually been really fun to talk to, at least once she had warmed up to him. "Do you come here often? How come we've never seen each other?"

She smiled, brushing her hair back. Now that she was older she seemed more confident. Taehyung was glad for her. Being nice and shy didn't get you far with how things were sadly. "I don't usually come here. I spent the night at my boyfriend's and thought I could come here and quickly do my grocery shopping before going home." She held up the shopping basket to show off the few things inside before smiling again.

"So, a boyfriend? Got luck with men?" Taehyung teased, remembering how she had complained about wanting someone who was as cute as the three of them were.

To his surprise Mina sighed before shaking her head. "Not really. I mean, the guy I've been seeing recently is great. Really sweet and I'm having a great time with him, but before that... eh..." She grimaced, readjusting the strap of her dress.

"Anything happened?" Taehyung asked curiously. He'd always felt like Mina had a pretty good intuition when it came to men, but maybe he had been mistaken.

"Not too much aside from the fact that you were right. Alphas really are all dicks. Met this guy who was really nice and handsome and he seemed to like me so we went out. Took me about three months to find out he was seeing other girls too." She pressed her lips into a firm line, sighing. "But there's nothing that can be done about that. At least I've learned my lessons that it's really better to stay away from alphas. Wish I would have listened to you."

That really did suck. Hopefully she really hadn't been too heartbroken... thought he felt like asking would have been stepping over a line. After all they had just met after years. They were acquaintances, not close friends. So he just reached out, patting her shoulder. "I'm glad you found someone better than that. You really deserve to be happy." Maybe he shouldn't be saying more. Just leave it at that, but it didn't sit right with him not to say anything more, even if it didn't fit with the situation. "I was wrong though... with the whole all alphas are dicks thing. I mean, most of them are, not going to argue with that, but not everyone."

Mina seemed surprised, looking at him for a few seconds before gasping loudly, her hands shooting up to her mouth. "Holy shit, you're dating an alpha, aren't you? Who would have thought that you..." She giggled. "How did that happen?"

Taehyung hesitated, not sure how to tell her that Jungkook and Jimin had grown up too and hadn't presented as omegas after all. Mina looked at him expectantly and he was in the middle of figuring out what to say when the two stars of the problem saved him.

"Taehyungie, do you want some strawberries? They have free sampl... ah... Mina!" Jungkook gasped, coming to a halt behind Taehyung and looking at their old classmate. For a second Mina seemed confused but then her eyes grew big like saucers.

"It's not taste testing when you grab everything." Jimin appeared behind them too, also taking a second to spot Mina. When he did he looked surprised, coming to a halt just like Jungkook. "Oh hey, there's Mina. You aged well."

Wow, Taehyung really was dating the most awkward bunch, wasn't he? It took Mina a few seconds before she regained her composure, smiling politely. "Jimin and..." She hesitated for a second, seemingly a bit unsure. "...Jungkook, right?" She chuckled a bit awkwardly.

Taehyung could feel Jungkook nod against his shoulder. "We haven't met for a while. How have you been?"

"Good for the most part." She seemed to think for a moment before smiling. "So... I'm going to guess, puberty hit pretty hard for you two? You look so different."

"Yeah, hitting hard is one way to describe it." Jimin chuckled, leaning against Jungkook.

Mina nodded. "You guys are... alphas, right? I mean, the scent... " She waited for confirmation before she continued talking. "That's a really surprising turn of events. I bet Taehyung was so confused."

"Confused doesn't cut it." Although Jungkook didn't sound angry there was a bitter tone to it. Taehyung felt guilt wash over him, but he quickly forced himself to stop thinking about it. The past was the past and things were great now. They had been off to a rocky start, but Taehyung had made sure both of them knew how much he loved them no matter whether they were alphas, betas or omegas. It didn't matter. What was most important was that they were his.

"Yeah, I can imagine that. I mean fuck, who would have thought?" Mina grinned, pushing her hair back again. "So uhm... which one is dating Taehyung now?"

For a few moment there was silence, neither of them really sure what to answer, but then Jungkook broke it by pulling Jimin closer and kissing him. Mina's eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Alpha couples certainly weren't anything you'd see on daily basis and this certainly wasn't the answer she had expected.

"Who said anyone is dating Taehyung?" Jungkook asked, pulling Jimin closer. Taehyung raised an eyebrow. Jungkook was messing with Mina. Not exactly his kind of joke but he wasn't going to stop him.

"Why date that grumpy, lanky thing if you could have such an adorable, feisty dwarf?" Jungkook teased, pinching Jimin's cheeks, who sent him a death glare.

Mina was just staring at them with wide eyes and Taehyung felt bad for her. She had asked a reasonable question and this was the answer she got.

After a couple of seconds she finally seemed to be able to speak again. "That's surprising. I've never seen an alpha couple before."

"Jungkookie is messing with you." Jimin simply stated, flicking Jungkook's forehead, who whined but finally let go of Jimin's cheeks. "It's actually Tae and I who are dating. Who would want someone as childish as this guy here?"

Not Jimin too. Before Mina even got the chance to answer Taehyung interrupted. "No, that's not it either. I swear to god, I should have picked less childish boyfriends." He pulled Jungkook closer, playing with the thought to claim he was dating Jungkook for a second, but then he decided that he wasn't going to stoop to their level.

"It's a bit unusual, but we're all kind of dating."

To his surprise Mina didn't seem... too put off by that. Instead she just looked at both Jungkook and Jimin before laughing. "Wow, I was so sure you'd end up dating one of the two at some point but I certainly didn't expect you to be greedy enough to just take both."

"Taehyung wasn't the greedy one. Jungkookie here was the one who wanted all he could get." Jimin smiled, ruffling Jungkook's hair. "I'm glad though. These two have always held a special place in my heart."

A soft laugh left the girl in front of them. "Wow, why am I not even surprised? I'm curious though. How does that whole thing..." She was interrupted as her phone started ringing. When she took it out of her pocket she swore silently before turning back to them. "I'm so sorry, but I'll have to go. I'm late for work... I... you guys have social media, right? Just type in my name and you should find me, then we can catch up, okay bye, was great to see you." And then she was gone.

After a couple of seconds Jungkook was the first to speak again, leaning over to Taehyung, holding out his hand and offering him the small fruit sitting on his palm that was looking pretty beat up from Jungkook holding it for so long. "Sooo... strawberry?"

This chapter was so much fun to write I swear xD

A heads up to all my younger readers... this story... kind of escalates smut wise from this point on.

The main plot lines have ended my babies are together and happy the way things are right now.

The only thing still coming are two ruts and one heat + the topic mating

So if you aren't comfortable reading that kind of stuff this theoretically is the end.
