Chapter 14

When Jimin woke up the next morning it was quite the forced awakening. He was being suffocated by Jungkook's heavy body. Apparently Jungkook had rolled over, completely ignoring Jimin's small frame. It served as a reminder as to why he and Taehyung had usually sandwiched their baby in between them instead of putting Jungkook on the side. Whenever Jungkook subconsciously searched for Taehyung's scent he'd just roll straight over Jimin.

This time was different though. Jungkook might have rolled on top him, but instead of slipping into the space between Taehyung and Jimin he had buried his face in Jimin's shoulder, half asleep and nuzzling into the junction of Jimin's neck.

"Jungkook... air..." Jimin squeezed out weakly, feeling bad as he pushed at Jungkook's shoulder, trying to get the boy to roll off of him. Jungkook yawned, lifting his head before tiredly blinking at Jimin.

"Morning..." He yawned again. "How are you?" After maybe a second he leaned down, nuzzling Jimin's neck again just like he had been before waking up.

Maybe Jimin was supposed to feel scared. At least his instincts told him to. To get the huge alpha who was so close to his throat away from him because he was dangerous. But his instincts also told him to bare his neck, let Jungkook scent him... cuddle with him some more.

The alpha part of his brain certainly was confused. After all Jungkook hadn't been an alpha for all that long. His body was simply confused by the presence of another alpha... one that he had used to spend hours cuddling with, scenting, playing.

"I have a headache... and I can't breathe, but aside from that... I'm pretty happy." Jimin declared, reaching out his hand and running his fingers through Jungkook's soft hair.

Jungkook moved a bit, finally giving Jimin's lungs enough space to expand fully, before dropping his chin on Jimin's chest. "Do you remember everything from yesterday?" His voice was groggy, still drowsy.

Jimin's mind wandered to what had happened the day before. The initial shock of finding out Jungkook and Taehyung were dating, then getting drunk - he was so fucking stupid by the way, great way of dealing with his problems - then Taehyung showing up and saving him from that guy... the kiss. The other kiss. Jimin silently let himself be swept away by the memory of both their lips on his... he'd have to try that again soon. This time properly, not through tears.

But the evening hadn't ended there... Jungkook's confession... and then Taehyung's. Did this mean... Jimin wasn't sure what to hope for. Dating more than one person... wasn't exactly normal. Especially not with two alphas in the relationship... how was that even supposed to work? What would they do during their rut? Yeah, maybe Jimin and Jungkook had enough control to cuddle with each other, but what would the feeling of being territorial in combination with sex look like?

He knew he was going too much into detail, but he had always been the only one of the three who actually thought things through. Jungkook was too hot-headed and Taehyung was the type to think that anything could be solved through friendship and love.

"Uhm... yeah, I remember everything." He answered, even with all the thoughts ghosting through his mind. At least he was aware that he was overthinking this.

"Good." Jungkook smiled, sitting up. "What's your response? Wanna try... dating?"

"Shouldn't we wait for Taehyung to wake up?" Jimin asked, glancing at Taehyung, who was contently snuggling up to his pillow. Jimin was overcome with the sudden urge to wrap around him too. But he forced himself to focus on Jungkook instead.

"I..." Jungkook grinned, grabbing his feet and pulling them closer to his body, his torso leaning against his thighs as he played with toes. "I wanna wake Tae up with a kiss like in those fairytales... but we had that deal of no kissing until we got your answer. You have such bad timing by the way... when you walked in on us yesterday that was the only time we kissed since we talked after my rut." Jungkook pouted. "So what's your answer? Wanna join me in the wake-up kiss?"

Well, Jimin was still overthinking this, but if Jungkook was going to ask that Jimin's answer was blatantly clear. "Obviously."

Jungkook dropping back onto the bed with a big grin and cuddled up to Jimin's side again. "Wanna kiss me before though? I haven't gotten my good morning kiss yet."

"You want yours too?" Jimin smiled. Just the day before he had been sure that he had lost all of this. The trust, the closeness... the love. But today everything was just as it always had been... just better. He moved onto his elbows.

Although Jimin was leaning over him, Jungkook didn't show any signs of discomfort. His alpha apparently simply accepted Jimin as he took the position of power. Jungkook simply blinked up at him expectantly, almost excited, but he also... looked so fascinated. Something about the way Jungkook looked at him like he was the most precious thing in the world made him feel all mushy inside.

"Yeah..." Jungkook whispered, not breaking eye contact. "Wanna kiss you so bad."

Not hesitating any longer Jimin leaned down, connecting their lips. It wasn't a long kiss. Just a bit too long to be called a peck. Jungkook's lips felt rougher than they had the day before against his.

When he pulled back Jungkook was smiling like a little child that had just been promised a treat. "Fuck... I wanna keep doing that..." He giggled, nevertheless rolling over to get up. "...but we have a sleeping prince to wake and I don't think he'd be all too happy if we were having fun without him." He went around the bed until he was standing next to the still cluelessly sleeping Taehyung.

"The right cheek is mine... you'll get the left." Jungkook explained, reaching forward and slowly putting his knee on the edge of the bed so he would have an easier time keeping his balance. Jimin half expected Taehyung to wake up and he totally would have laughed if that had happened, but Taehyung didn't so Jimin crawled closer too.

"On three we'll..." Jungkook began, but Jimin stopped him. "No, we won't. Let's just do it." He leaned forward, waiting for Jungkook to do the same before pressing a kiss to Taehyung's cheek. A second passed and then they just sat there, waiting for Taehyung to wake up, but he didn't even move. Apparently the whole 'wake the princess from her deep slumber with a kiss' thing didn't quite work on people who weren't princesses.

And then Jungkook giggled and of course, that finally made Taehyung wake up. With a groan the boy opened his eyes, blinking at Jimin and Jungkook, who were leaning over him, both grinning way too widely.

Taehyung continued blinking for a few seconds before he tiredly smiled, his eyes still closer to slits than anything. "Wow. I thought something smelled a lot more like alpha than usual." Then he grabbed both Jungkook and Jimin's arms and tugged them back onto the bed with him. "You two smell way too good... nice to wake up to."

Jimin squirmed out of Taehyung's hold again while Jungkook let himself be pulled in because he was a damn sucker for cuddling. Jimin was certain that he'd still ask for more even if he'd get twenty-four-seven attention from Taehyung.

"Are we really going to do this?"

Taehyung blinked tiredly. "What?"

"Dating? The three of us?" Jimin specified and maybe he was being too serious, but how couldn't he be when it was about their friendship of twenty years turning into something more?

"If you're up to it." Taehyung rubbed his eyes tiredly, fondly rubbing the back of Jungkook's neck as he sat up. "I don't want to pressure you into this... I get it if it's weird or you would prefer someone else. That would be totally okay too... so don't worry about our friendship and just answer honestly."

Jimin nodded. "I really want to date you too... but I'm a bit worried about how we're going to make that work. What if one of us feels jealous or neglected?"

"Have you ever felt neglected by one of us?" Taehyung asked softly, taking Jimin's hand into his own and rubbing its back. Jimin sighed, watching first Taehyung's hand, then shifting his gaze to Jungkook, who was cuddling up to Taehyung's leg. It was such a cute sight and it made Jimin feel so happy. That's when he realized the answer to Taehyung's question... of course, he had never felt neglected. Neither of them had ever given him a reason to feel like he wasn't worth as much as anyone else in the trio. He just felt so happy when he saw Taehyung or Jungkook happy... and they seemed happy when he was happy.

"I haven't. Ever." Jimin answered, suddenly oddly certain that he wanted that. Their friendship was the biggest proof that their relationship was going to work too.

"Neither have Tae or I." Jungkook stated from where he was cuddling with Taehyung's leg. "I really wanna try this... because I love you guys so much." Jungkook added before going back to rubbing his cheek against Taehyung's thigh.

A warm smile made its way onto Taehyung's lips and he ruffled through Jungkook's hair. "What do you say? Want to try dating?"

This time it was easy for Jimin to answer. "Yeah... I really want to."
