Isabel stopped listening to the conversation basically the moment she sat down, then she just stared at the fork in front of her. Wishing that it would fly into her throat and kill her instantly. Jason occasionally elbowed her when no one was paying attention in an attempt to say 'Please make conversation'.
"I'm going to go to the ladies room. Isabel?" Rebekah said, smiling at the girl. Isabel smiled back at her and got up, waiting for Stefan to let Rebekah out of the booth.
Isabel hated the unwritten rule that when there was more than one female at a table as soon as one had to powder her nose, the rest had to follow like an army of mindless drones. But Isabel didn't state this because she knew Jason would be upset with her later.
When Stefan stood up, he looked down at Isabel with his cynical smirk as if to dare her to attack him. Instead of snapping his neck with a flick of her wrist, Isabel tried to smile at him but it came out as more of a chastising sneer.
Rebekah got out of the seat, linking her arm through Isabel's and heading off to the ladies room. As soon as they were out of ear shot of the table, Rebekah stopped abruptly and turned around to face the younger girl.
"I get that you're angry at us for torturing that human but needn't be so rude," Rebekah said in a snooty tone, her arms crossed as if in an attempt to intimidate the witch.
"I'm the one being rude? Rude is slitting a woman's wrist and attempting to make her husband drink it," Isabel replied before going to walk past Rebekah.
Rebekah watched the witch go into the bathroom before sighing and following after her. Isabel was adding a touch of powder to her petite nose when the original walked in.
"I'm sorry and I did like being your friend," Rebekah said quietly, barely audible to the witch. To say the least Isabel was surprised, Rebekah didn't seem the type to apologize.
"You're still my friend, if you weren't I would have actually killed Stefan but I know you care for him," Isabel stated, making eye contact with the other blonde in the mirror who was broken out in a grin.
"Thank god! You're the only other woman in this town with an ounce of class!" Rebekah practically yelled for the whole bar to hear, unaware of the glares from other women in the bathroom.
"I suppose we must get back to our dreadfully dull company," Isabel teased, linking her arm through the originals.

Klaus would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous, he hated feeling so vulnerable but something about the blonde witch made his pulse quicken. Once his little sister and Isabel left the table he felt his body relax, his usual cocky persona returning.
Luckily only his siblings seemed to notice his change around her otherwise he would be humiliated, even more so.
"Now that their gone I do wish to ask something, what happened when my sister came out with you?" Jason asked once the girls were out of sight, both Klaus and Stefan could not hold back their surprise at the question.
"Excuse me?" Klaus asked, his brows knit together. He wondered if Isabel had said something and if so why did Jason come out with them?
"You heard me, my sister doesn't often like people and when her feelings for you bunch so suddenly I couldn't help but be curious," Jason said, his usual smiled gone as he drummed his fingers on the table.
"Your psycho little sister attacked me," Stefan said in a tattle-tale tone, not noticing the original brothers rolling their eyes at his pettiness.
"You didn't attack her?" Jason asked in a not at all surprised tone, Klaus gathered his sister attacking people might not be a rare occurrence.
"It was a little hard to while he was chocking on his blood," Klaus chimed in, making Elijah laugh who tried to cover it as a cough. Though everyone caught it.
"Well I would apologize but seeing as to what a smart ass you are, i'm not surprised. Isabel tends not to like that," Jason said in matter of fact tone, his grin back in place.
"How dare you speak to me that way? Who do you think you are?" Stefan practically growled, veins appearing under his eyes. Klaus got ready to interfere, knowing it would be upsetting to Isabel if her brother was killed.
"Jason Sterling and you would do well to remember that," Isabel's soft tone interrupted the altercation, Stefan peered up at the blonde with a murderous expression.
"Klaus, would you dance with me?" Isabel asked much to Klaus's surprise, who could barely contain his glee as he got up from the booth and tried his best to ignore his grinning siblings.
"I would be honored, Miss. Sterling," Klaus said, extending his hand to her.
Isabel placed her much smaller hand in his and Klaus couldn't help but notice how perfectly they fit. The fast song that had been playing and everyone clapped as Gloria dramatically bowed with a smile that looked like her face would split in two.
"Now a slow song," Gloria said as she winked at Klaus who laughed a bit, shaking his head.
As the song began Klaus drew Isabel's small frame into him, his hand in the small of her back. The two slowly swayed back and forth, a small smile on each of their faces. Not so discreetly their siblings watched them like hawks.
"Why did you ask me to dance?" Klaus asked after a moment, his curiosity like an itch he couldn't reach.
"Well despite your antics, I like your sister and from what I can see I like your brother. But there's something about you that I really like," Isabel said, staring into Klaus's eyes that she decided reminded her of the ocean on a stormy day.
Klaus could barely contain his surprise at her boldness and the fact that someone had told him that they liked him despite his cruelness. He would be lying if he said someone had said that to him before in any of his 900 years.
"I don't even mind telling you that while your siblings listen to every word i'm saying and repeating them to my brother," Isabel said before looking over at the table where everyone was desperately trying to look like they weren't listening.
"May I kiss you?" Klaus asked though the words felt odd in his mouth, he normally didn't ask for anything.
"No, I don't kiss strange men," Isabel said before pulling away from the Mikaelson, the song having ended.
Klaus didn't even bothering hiding his dumbstruck expression.
