2 weeks. That was all Maia and the others had left of school before they finally graduated and moved into the 'real world' as Fairy Godmother put it. Maia was going to be a teacher and she had worked so hard over the past year to catch up.

Luckily, she didn't have to have a specific degree in anything in order to become a teacher but she was doing Art, considering it was her favourite subject.

Ronan was going to become a professional football player, as he was captain of the team and had been since he was 12. Tiffany was going to help and eventually take over 'Tiana's Place' (Maia's new favourite restaurant) while Hallie didn't have a single clue. She said she wanted to go out and travel before she decided.

Avery wouldn't be with them again until graduation as he went back to Arendelle during their exams so his mother could teach him the final few things he needed to know before becoming King.

Lilah and Ally, unfortunately, weren't graduating. They were two years younger than the others, the same age as Mal and the others. Maia had grown fond of the girls and slightly over protective over the past few months.

Maia was currently walking to Mal and Evie's dorm for her dress fitting but was slightly surprised when she saw Evie doing Mal's dress, which did not look like a Mal type of dress.

"Uh, hi?" Maia said as she walked in.

"Maia!" Evie exclaimed. "Gimme a sec and I'll be right with you."

'Help me.' Mal mouthed to Maia and she chuckled slightly.

"Do you guys ever wonder what we'd be doing if we were still on the Isle?" Mal asked them suddenly.

Maia sighed. "All the time." She admitted and smiled at her sister.

Evie chuckled. "That's funny." The TV turned to the channel which Mal was about to be one. "Ah! Look who's on TV."

"As the Royal couple continues their tour of the Kingdom they dined with Aladdin and Jasmine," The reporter said. "Six months ago, no one thought King Ben and his girlfriend from the wrong side of the bridge would last."

"Wrong side of the bridge?" Maia scoffed.

"Yeah no kidding." Mal agreed with the reporter.

"Mal must be counting the days until the Royal Cotillion when she will officially become a Lady of the Court." The reporter finished.

Mal gasped and ran to her beside table while Evie said, "Maia, on the stool."

Maia stepped up on the stool. "Please don't make it too flashy." She asked Evie.

"Sure," Evie agreed half-heartedly but didn't really listen. "I'm thinking a dark red colour..."

The flipping of pages caught their attention from where Mal was sat. "Read it fast at lightning speed, remember everything I need." She read from her spell book and began reading another one quickly.

"I know Mal's secrets of fitting in and Ben wouldn't like it one bit." Evie told her.

"Ben, doesn't have a say in everything Mal does," Maia defended her. "She's her own person."

Mal sent her a thank you look. "Evie, you remember what I was like before I started using my spell book," She reminded her. "I mean I was a complete disaster."

Evie sighed. "Well, personally, as your best friend I strongly believe that this spell book," Evie picked the book up. "It belongs in the museum along with my mirror. Don't give me the face. Put the pout away. Mhm, you know I'm right."

"You don't ever miss running wild and just breaking all the rules?" Mal asked them.

"I think about it, sometimes." Maia admitted.

Evie looked between the two. "Like stealing, and lying, and fighting?"

"Yeah!"

"No!" Evie exclaimed. "Why would we? M, come here, you too Maia. Look at where we are, we're in Auradon. And we're Auradon girls now."

"Since Mal revealed her love of strawberries, she has received hundreds of cartons from her admirers." The reporter said and Evie squealed.

Evie put an arm round both girls. "See, this is the life of opportunity. We can be whatever we want to be here. So, please, let's just leave the past in the past. Okay?"

The girls laughed and agreed. before Maia realised, "Oh shit, I'm late for meeting Tiffany. I gotta go, love you guys!"

Maia ran as quick as she could down to the kitchens where she found Tiffany, Ronan and Lilah. "Girl, come on!" Tiffany huffed. "You were supposed to be here ages ago!"

"Calm down Tiff," Maia told her. "I'm only late by three minutes."

"Still late!"

She walked over to Ronan who put an arm round her and she leaned into him. "You okay?" He asked her and she just nodded.

"Okay stop being ridiculously adorable and try my gumbo," Tiffany grabbed her arm and dragged her over. "I need you to tell me if it's as good as ma's or if I'm missing something."

Ronan came up behind her and snaked his arms around her waist. "I told her it tasted great but apparently that wasn't enough."

"That's because you don't have taste," Tiffany deadpanned. "Maia, on the other hand, is blunt enough to tell me the truth with her brutal honesty."

Maia took a spoon and tasted some of the gumbo. She licked her lips for a minute. "It's good, really good." She admitted.

"But...?" Tiffany pressed.

"It could use a little more flavouring and spices." Maia told her.

Tiffany clapped. "See? This is what I like to hear!" She told Lilah and Ronan. "Brutal honesty and improvement notes."

"Sugar, you really need to calm down with this," Lilah told her. "Tiana said she was gonna help you anyways before she handed the restaurant over."

Tiffany huffed. "I know I just...everybody out!" She yelled suddenly and that was their cue to leave.

"I'll see you two love birds later." Lilah waved and left.

As soon as she left and they reached a tree to sit down under, Ronan turned to his girlfriend. "What's wrong?" He asked. "And don't tell me it's nothing because you've been weird all morning."

Maia hesitated. "It's Mal."

"What about her?" He asked.

"She's not herself," Maia sighed and turned around so he was sitting against the tree and she was between his legs. "The blonde hair and purple tips? That's not Mal. The dates with other prince and princesses and trying to be perfect for TV? That's not Mal."

Ronan furrowed his eyebrows. "Why do you think she's not being herself?"

"Because she wants to be perfect for Ben," Maia replied with no hesitation. "This morning she was asking me and Evie if we missed it on the Isle."

"Do you?"

Maia sighed and looked at him. "Sometimes. I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't-"

"Maia, you lived there for 18 years of your life. Of course you're going to miss it, and I'm not gonna judge you if you do." Ronan told her.

Maia smiled. "Wow. Is that the first time in ten minutes that you haven't asked a question?" She asked sarcastically.

"Oh we're playing that game?" He smirked.

One Maia's weaknesses was being tickled and she had made the bad decision of telling Ronan that.

"Ronan, I swear to god!" She laughed hysterically and suddenly she got an idea. She just kissed him.

He pulled away. "Did you just kiss me to distract me?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Maia laughed and kissed him one more time. "Now, I have cheer practice and you have football practice. So go."

"I'll see you later."

a/n: I feel like in the first act I didn't emphasise how Lilah and Tiffany had gotten their mothers southern/New Orleans accents so I'm trying to in this one.
