Neither of the three talked as Hallie, Maia and the blond boy walked down the corridors. It was frustrating to Maia that she still didn't know his name, but she had an idea of who it was. And it was going to make their conversations extremely awkward.
"So, what's your name?" Hallie asked, breaking the silence.
Maia hesitated, but they were going to find out sooner or later. "Maia." She introduced herself.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Maia. And I know I told you earlier but," Hallie held out her hand and Maia shook it. "I'm Hallie."
Maia smiled awkwardly. No one has ever said, 'it's nice to meet you' to her. "Uh, you too Hallie," She replied. Maia turned to the boy. "Who are you?"
The boy laughed. "I can't tell you unless you promise not to kill me." He shrugged and Hallie laughed.
"Well I can't promise that, but I can guess." Maia shot back.
"Oh can you?" He asked mockingly.
"Let me see," She began. "Over-confident attitude, arrogant, charming smile, dazzling eyes and hair as bright as the sun - you're Rapunzel's son. Which has suddenly made this conversation extremely awkward."
Hallie laughed as they continued walking while the boy looked impressed. "That's Ronan. And your description of him was extremely good and 100% correct. This is our dorm."
Maia seemed to miss the amusing look Hallie and Ronan sent to each other. Maia opened the door first but screamed, jumped back and faced the wall when four people shouted, "Surprise!" At her.
They quickly stopped when they saw she turned around, hands over her ears. Maia turned to face them when they calmed down.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry." The black girl said.
The blonde one spoke up. "Yeah, we just thought it would be a nice surprise because your Tiffany's new roommate but clearly we have just scared the shit out of you-" She rambled quickly.
Maia shook her head. "It's okay, I just - I wasn't expecting it," Maia chuckled awkwardly. "Who's Tiffany?"
The black girl spoke up again. "That's me, I'm Tiana's daughter. This is Lilah, Lottie's daughter," The blonde girl waved enthusiastically, "Ally, Ariel's daughter," Ally smiled, "And this is Avery, Anna's son," The boy smiled as well.
"I'm...Maia." She introduced herself hesitantly.
"We're sorry. We just got excited when we heard Tiff was getting a new roommate, especially a Villain Kid from the Isle-" Ally was cut off by the others.
"Ally!" They all yelled.
Maia chuckled. "No, no it's okay. I get it."
"I uh," Tiffany still looked a bit nervous. "I tried fixing up the room and, moving my stuff over. What do you think?"
Maia looked around. "It's very," How could she word it? "Bright...and green. But the frogs are cute." There were frogs painted on the wall above Tiffany's bed. Maia noticed they were all still standing back a bit and she smirked. "I'm not gonna kill you, you know?"
"We weren't thinking that..." Avery lied.
"Yes you were." Both Maia and Ronan said at the same time. Maia looked to him in surprise but shrugged it off, he was right.
They all had apologetic looks on their faces. "We brought snacks and stuff, if you were hungry. And we thought we could sit around and get to know each other more." Lilah told her.
"Oh, um, I don't really do..." Before she could finish Hallie sat her down on the floor and everyone followed. "Okay, I guess we're getting to know each other."
Maia smiled, a real, genuine smile. And Ronan could've sworn his heart just skipped a beat.

After about two hours of talking and eating, Maia felt she had gotten to know them all pretty well. Ally was quiet and reserved, whereas Lilah was extremely enthusiastic and loud but in a nice way. Tiffany was sweet and hardworking, study books were scattered all over her bed.
Avery was kind, shy at times but he rambled when someone spoke about things he loved. Hallie was a funny girl, extremely sarcastic but seemed like someone you didn't want to get on the wrong side of. Maia had gotten Ronan down to a T. Hallie told the others how Maia guessed his parents and they confirmed her description, which he was quite offended by but didn't deny it.
She was now in Jay and Carlos' room. Carlos was too busy playing a video game to notice she had walked in. "Where have you been?" Mal asked.
"Playing the 'get to know each other' game with my roommate and her friends," Maia told her and the others looked at her in disbelief. "No, really. Guess who I got roomed with?"
"Who?" Jay asked from his bed.
"Tiffany, Tiana's daughter." Maia answered.
"Shut up, you didn't," Evie laughed. Maia nodded.
"God, Celia's gonna have a heart attack." Everyone went quiet, remembering everyone from the Isle.
"Do I have to remind you what we're all here for?" Mal said when Jay and Carlos got distracted from the game.
"Fairy Godmother, blah blah blah," Jay said as he played. "Magic wand...blah, blah, blah."
They all laughed but Mal got annoyed. "This is our one chance to prove ourselves to our parents. To prove that we are evil and vicious and ruthless and cruel. Yeah?"
They all nodded in agreement, realising she was right. "Evie, mirror me." Mal continued.
"Mirror mirror on the...in my hand," Evie corrected herself. "Where is Fairy Godmother's wand stand?"
"Wait, zoom out." Maia said when they couldn't stay.
"Magic mirror, not so close." Evie whispered. They kept moving in until they saw a sign.
"There! It's in a museum." Mal pointed out.
Maia continued. "Well, do we know where that is."
Carlos typed on the computer. "2.3 miles from here." He showed them the computer. They laughed, they were so close.
Maia walked out and checked the corridor both ways before telling the others it was fine. She was about to follow them when she realised Carlos was still playing the video game.
"Carlos!" She called out and he looked at her.
"Sorry!" He picked up his jacket and they ran out.
