Chapter 6

Elizabeth was in awe the moment they approached Neverland. She looked at the rides and decorations with wide eyes, even though all the big lights were off. She hoped she would get a chance to get a tour once she healed.

"Let me grab your bag and your wheelchair. It's a long walk from here and you must be tired." Michael said, helping her get into the wheelchair.

"Thank you." She mumbled.

When they arrived at the cottage, Elizabeth was shocked at how beautiful and big it was. She looked at Michael in disbelief.

"This is... where I'm staying? Just me by myself?"

He grinned, "Yup! Just you. Unless you need company. There's two separate rooms and I can keep you company sometimes. If you'd like."

She nodded her head frantically. No matter how independent she was, she hated being alone for too long.

They entered the cottage and it was just as beautiful on the inside as it was on the outside.

"Michael, holy shit."

Michael chuckled and set her bag down by the bed in the master bedroom.

"Do you need any help with anything before I go?"

Elizabeth looked down, embarrassed.

"What is it, Elizabeth?"

"This is really awkward, but I need a shower or a bath. Those sponge baths at the hospital weren't good enough." She chuckled.

Michael blushed bright red. "Of course. I don't have any female staff tonight, but... I can help you if you'd like."

"If you could run the bath, and help me get out of my bottoms and into the bath that would be great. I really hate to ask, but I can't stand this dirty, disgusting feeling anymore. It's been driving me insane since I woke up. It's like they're still there."

"Okay, Elizabeth. Give me a second." He said, going into the master bedroom's bathroom and running the bath.

He hated that she felt so dirty, but he understood. He wished they hadn't had meaningless sex that night. It wasn't personal, but he just hoped he didn't seem disrespectful to her. It was fairly easy for him to begin to like people, but he didn't even have to try with her. He hoped they would be friends for a long time. He didn't mind helping her out of her situation at all.

"How warm do you like it?" He shouted.

"Scalding hot!" She shouted back. She set out some shorts and a big t-shirt. It was Jimmy's. Her eyes welled up with tears. He was so much other than her monster, he use to make her feel safe, but he's the one who hurt her and abused her for so long. She was trapped in an abusive relationship, and she didn't know how to get out. She put the shirt back in her bag and pulled out a tight t-shirt of hers.

"Elizabeth?" Michael said, as if he'd been calling her name for a while.

"Oh, yeah?" She said, wiping her eyes.

"Are... you ready?" Michael asked, wondering why she was crying, but didn't want to violate her space more than he was already going to.

"Yes, please."

He helped her into the bathroom. She held onto his shoulders while he bent down and dragged her jeans off, then pulled her shirt over her head. He unclipped her bra, and then delicately pulled her panties down and helped her step out of them. It was so different this time. They were both present in the moment and it was so innocent and intimate at the same time. He didn't even recognize her body, especially not with all the bruises and bite marks. He bit his lip in anger. He wanted to murder the men responsible for her pain.

"Michael?"

"Yeah?"

"Your lip... it's bleeding. Are you okay?"

"Oh, shit. Yeah, I'm fine. Just so angry. I could kill the people who did this to you, Elizabeth."

"Oh, I know. I feel the same way. It's the only thing that's keeping me going right now. I don't know what to do with all of these emotions. Help me in?"

He lifted her up effortlessly, slowly submerging her into the water. She winced at the hot water on her wounds, but then sunk down lower. Her breasts were visible, and she leaned back, making eye contact with Michael.

"Are you hungry?" Michael asked, breaking eye contact and trying not look at her body.

"Starving." Lizzy said, grabbing a small towel and lathering it up with body wash.

"How do pancakes and bacon sound? Do you prefer milk or orange juice?"

"Sounds like heaven! And both, honestly." Elizabeth said, starting to run the small towel over her neck and chest.

"Good. I'll make us some breakfast past midnight." He grinned and walked out.

Elizabeth didn't understand what she did to deserve someone as nice as him. She felt like she deserved to struggle on her own, it's what she always did. She angrily scrubbed at her body, focusing more of the harsh scrubbing in between her legs. She felt so disgusting. She knew she needed to be tested for STD's. She cringed at the thought of pregnancy, but she knew she could easily take care of that. She just prayed she wouldn't get any diseases.

After the water got cold and she washed her hair and thoroughly washed her body, Elizabeth called on Michael for assistance.

He helped her out of the water, slowly, delicately drying her body off. He caught his breath when she spread her legs, letting him dry her areas off with the towel. He didn't want to be turned on because it seemed wrong, but he couldn't fight chemistry. He felt his cock growing in his pants, and he shifted, hoping it wasn't going to be obvious when he stood. Elizabeth didn't pay any attention at all, which relieved Michael.

After helping her into her clothes, he helped her to the table and served her food. She happily ate, and Michael watched her pretty face as she did.

"It's sooooooooo gooooood!" She said, her face lit up with pure joy.

"I haven't seen you smile like that at all, so it must really be good to you, Elizabeth." Michael chuckled.

"You have no idea. I only ever have my own homemade cooking. I haven't had anyone else's in so long. Is this turkey bacon?"

Michael smiled and nodded at her, resting his head in his hand.

"I haven't been able to afford this in years!" She said, grabbing more off the plate between them.

"You can have everything you want, girl. I'll even make more if I have to."

Elizabeth looked up and smiled, tears forming.

"Fuck," she mumbled, looking down, "you've been so good to me and I don't deserve it. I feel like the universe is playing some cruel joke on me."

"Hey, no, Elizabeth, the universe brought us together for a reason. We were meant to cross paths. Me finding you when I did is proof of that. I am able to help you. There is no coincidence in that either." Michael moved closer to her, putting his arm around her shoulders.

"No one has ever treated me so nicely for no reason before. I can understand you feeling sorry for me, but you took care of my medical bills, paid for my prescriptions, flew me out here, you're letting me eat your food, and you helped my gross ass take a bath. You have a heart of gold, Michael."

"It's all for love, Elizabeth. You're not gross. I know you have a good heart. I could tell from the moment we talked, you know, for real." He chuckled, running his hand through his hair.

A moment of silence passed between them, but it was a comfortable silence.

"Please stay with me until I fall asleep, Michael?" Elizabeth asked, innocently.

"Of course." Michael said, taking a bite of his pancakes.
