Location: Hallow River

As morning rise every creature is peace until they ran away from a mysterious gate appearing and come out from the gate is Cary and his four companies and his five brown minions as they stand on a land with a rushing and speedy river blocking their path. "Mm what can we do as we can't cross this speedy river" Pj said as everyone else is thinking until DJ see something "um sir is that a woman?" He ask. Cary and everyone look at where DJ is pointing at to a sleeping red hair woman near a object of some kind "Sir! That is a minion totem if you make the minions carry that to the gate you can increase your maximum amount of minions to control" Oswald said from a com. "Alright but I think it best if we bring the woman too since it seems something happened to her" Erica said from the com as Cary agrees and command the minions to carry the totem to the portal which increases his control to ten minions. Then Max carry the unconscious woman as Cary controls the minions to push a boulder away from a large hallow tree log that act like a bridge. Then they walk on the tree bridge across where they continue the path to where the town is located at but once they got there they see a gate with two guards on top of the gate.

"Halt! No one is allow entrance until the threat of the trolls are disposed of" a guard on the left said "mm seems these people have some intelligent but ain't able to send adventurers out" Oswald said over the com. "Mm hey! If we dispose of these trolls will you allow entrance?" Cary yell as the guard on the right look at the left guard "um should we let them?" The right guard ask the left guard. The left roll his eyes before smacking the left head "We will allow entrance if you save some civilians that was captured by the trolls" the right said as Cary look at Max carrying the woman. "Max you stay near the town of Spree with DJ to protect the woman I don't want her being abandoned by these guards" Cary whisper as Max and DJ nod and left to stand near the forest protecting the woman. "Alright we go and do those tasks" Cary yell then Cary, Pj, Stitch and the ten minions walk towards the quest mark where the trolls are located at while Max and DJ are protecting the unconscious woman near the town.

After a few minutes the group arrive at a camp where they hide behind rocks to spot three trolls near a cage with several women and a few children inside as the civilians are terrified of the trolls.

(Ignore the creature inside and image the cage as bones instead of iron.)

"Mm it seems these trolls are capturing young children and women as some sort of breeding ground" Jumba said from the com as Cary clench the side of the rock "I have a strategy "Stitch you take the troll on the right, Pj you take the troll on the left and I along the minions will attack the troll on the middle" Cary whisper. The two nod and got into positions then wait until Cary send five minions at the middle troll signaling Stitch to jump and attack the right troll then Pj fighting the left troll. Cary then join the fight and attack the middle troll besides his minions but after a few minutes they defeated and kill the trolls however before they can celebrate a massive roar cause them to turn and face a huge troll.

"Sir! That is a troll king I suggest equipping your armor" Oswald said from the com as Cary nod and hold his right hand out then a bright light appears blinding the troll king for a moment until the bright light vanish and now Cary is wearing Overlord armor. "This feel light" Cary thought but suddenly he block a attack from the troll king using his club "okay let see what you can do!" Cary shout and begin to attack the troll. While Cary fight the troll king Pj and Stitch free the civilians and lead them away from the fight as the minions are shouting "Master!" as Cary is beating the king. After what felt like ages which in truth was ten minutes Cary finally kill the king and surprising gain a total of 1000 gold from the king compare to the 100 gold from the normal troll. Then Cary look around the camp to see all kind of loots like gold, food, and resources including the four dead troll bodies which cause Cary to got a idea "Listen civilians! I decided to give you a share of the loots!" Cary yell. The women and children cheer happily as Cary smirk and summon four carriages that can carry everything then the women and children help load everything onto the carriages.

After a few minutes of returning the group and the civilians reach Spree causing the gate open for Cary group as Cary gave the town the resources to help improve their town and their lives including their food supplies. Once that settles Cary and his four companions enter the tavern and celebrate with the town but a man name Gary is both the mayor and owner of the tavern chat with Cary.

"So I suppose I should be thanking you for rescuing the women and children from our town but I think you did it because of you being an Overlord" Gary said as Cary is impress with Gary knowledge. "However I gonna ask you this why give us resources, food, and a few gold when you can take everything for yourselves?" Gary ask as Cary chuckle "simple I were raise in a town similar to Spree but I can tell that this town is completely different" Cary said. Gary nod and took a sip of beer before speaking "mm you are similar to the eight hero who became a Overlord" Gary said. Cary look at him confused until Gary explains that Cary grandfather was the third Overlord who became trap in the Inferno after it precious ruler die and close the gate to our world. Once Gary finish Cary thought about something "mm what would you do if I claim Spree as a territory of my growing empire while you are still mayor in exchange for helping my conquest by spreading rumors of Spree being a new trademark" Cary ask. Gary think about it and smile "you got yourself a deal Cary" Gary said and both male shake hands sealing the deal.

Afterward Cary claim a empty space, where Max and DJ were staying, that serve as a gateway for traveling to Spree then the group returns to the fortress with the remaining resources, gold, food, and the four dead bodies where Cary gave them to Jumba to experiments and keep them in froze storage. Mid while Cary carry the unconscious woman to a bedroom with medical supplies where Cary lay her on the bed then Oswald run some tests on her but it gonna take a while. Cary then walk to the throne room where he sat on the throne resting but then he open his eyes to see that he is in a dark room with a mysterious hive in front of him "what? Where am I?" He thought looking around. Suddenly he was surrounded by these strange creatures that are similar to the heartless but these creatures are like the brown minions however he stare at the hive where a creature is standing in front of it.

"Hello master" the female creature spoke in Cary mind surprising him "wait aren't you a heartless?" He ask as the female creature hold it hand to it nonexistent mouth like she is giggling "i was a heartless until you became my master by accepting the darkness" she said. Cary remember what happened when he was protecting Erica from the heartless.

Flashback Cary POV:

I was protecting Erica when suddenly I appear in a void with a strange creature that is similar to the shadows creatures but different as it isn't attacking me like at all which make me curious to know what the creature is planning.

"Hello I am Libby and I am a Darkling or a pureblood heartless" the creature said surprising me again as she giggle "um hi?" I said confuse as Libby sigh "I cannot stay too long but I want to ask you this question if you ready to hear it" she said. I nod my head as she giggle softly before speaking again "if you have any chance would you choose darkness or light?" She ask and I thought about it. "I choose darkness as I think it is a blessing to those that are skill in harness the dark as it is quite comfortable once you embrace it" I said causing Libby to be quite surprise at my answer "Mm I think you are worthy to lead us" she said before vanishing.

3rd person POV:

"So are you" Cary ask but she shake her head stopping him from talking "no I am not Libby she is with the others until you are ready to command them which is why she sent me as your loyal hive queen of the lower heartless" she said. "Ah Alright but what do I suppose to do about increasing the life force involving the heartless?" He ask which cause her to giggle "we don't need life force as we need hearts" she said. Cary notice a glow in his pocket making him pull it out and reveal some sort of pocket watch but once he press the tap a hologram screen appears and reveal many things but he notice a few things. On a circle is a glowing red heart with some numbers beside it and on a bar is orbs with some numbers beside it too "mm do you know the difference between hearts and life forces?" He ask. She nod softly "the hearts we need are glowing red while the life forces are multiple colors orbs" she said confirming Cary theory on the two shapes. He focus on the heart and somehow fifty hearts suddenly absorb into the hive surprising the hive queen "damn I guess I had collected hearts when people or beings die and I stored them" Cary said. Then he remembers something "you didn't told me your name" he said to the hive queen who snap back to reality and spoke "I am Bertha" she said as Cary nod his head.

"Alright well I hope we meet again" he said then focus on leaving and he succeeded as he returns to the throne room where he stretches and starts to head towards the master bedroom where he sleeps with his love. Inside the medical room is Kairi who is unconscious while Oswald is checking her condition "mm it seems something cause a reaction to knock her out like a bug but it shouldn't be long before she wakes up" Oswald thought. Else where is a laboratory where Jumba is studying the trolls in storage from a computer "mm I admit their dna are perfect to create some minions but also some guards" he thought. With Magica and DJ inside the library "mm so what kind of magic did you discover DJ" Magica ask as DJ chuckle "I didn't discover no magic but it seems that there are some magical objects to to study" he said. Mid while inside a training room is Pj and Max training against wooden warriors "heh guess even strength and brutal doesn't solve everything" Pj thought as he punch a warrior hard "mm I wonder what kind of adventure we go on next" Max thought slashing a warrior down. Inside the treasure room is Scrooge who is smiling and storing the gold in the room "with this much gold we can start a business" Scrooge thought. Everyone in unison "after all we must help Cary of rebuilding his father empire since he is a excellent Overlord to work with/sides with/serve for" everyone thought/say as the screen turn black.
