Chapter 13: School

Today was the day. The day that y/n will attend his first day at his new school. Not only that but same with his little brother.

No one's POV

Right now, y/n was standing by the front door of his home with a backpack on him. He sighs as he pats his pockets, making sure he had everything he needed for school, though felt like something was missing. That was until his mother walks over to him with a soft smile.

"Missing something?" She asks, noticing him patting himself down.

"My keys..." Y/n mutters, continuing patting. "Where the hell did I-?"

"Looking for these?" He heard his mother ask, making him look over, and saw his mom holding up his keys.

"...Yeah...thanks..." Y/n says sheepishly as he took them.

"Of course. Just don't forget them next time, please." His mom says while continuing to smile.

"I'll do my best." He says as he puts his keys away.

"And speaking of, I hope you do your best at your new school." His mom says before opening her arms out for a hug, which y/n accepts.

"Thanks. And good luck at your job."

"Thank you, dear." She says before the two eventually separate.

"Is Jacob getting ready as well?" Y/n asks as he looks over his mother's shoulders to the house.

"Yeah, but you know he can be slow at times." She says, giggling a little.

"True." He says with a small smile, though that quickly fades as his face became serious. "I just hope he can fit in at his school." He says solemnly.

"Me too."  His mother responds, changing to a similar manner. "I don't know what I'll do if it doesn't work out."

"Don't worry, if something happens, I'll talk with him. And if some kid needs his ass kicked, then-."

"I would prefer if you didn't resort to violence, mister." His mother cuts him off, giving him a serious look.

"So do I. But I'm not going to let him get bullied at another school. Especially if they have powers."

"..." His mother doesn't respond. She just shook her head and sighs before lowering her gaze to the floor, causing y/n to frown a little.

"...I got to get going. Bye, mom," Y/n eventually says before quickly hugging her again.

"Later." She says as she hugs him back.

Meanwhile....

At the neighbor's house, Victoria was walking out from her sister's place. She waits by the front door as her sister and her children walk out, closing the door behind them. After, she turns around and notices something in the corner of her eye. She turns to see what it was and saw y/n walking out of his home and started to jog down the street, away from them.

"Him again..." She mutters to herself, catching a glimpse of his face.

"Something wrong?" She heard her sister ask, causing her to turn to her.

"Huh? Oh! Nothing. Just my imagination." She says quickly, which her sister gave her a questioning look, though soon shrugs it off. She then turns away and heads to the car. Victoria looks back to find y/n, though saw that he was no longer around. "..."

Time skip

Y/n was still standing as the bus was driving. He couldn't help but slowly turn his gaze to a person sitting next to him with their laptop open, watching some kind of live interview. He was going to brush it off but stops when he saw a familiar female being interviewed. But due to the person wearing headphones, he couldn't hear the video, though there were subtitles.

Sitting in one of the seats was a beautiful middle-aged woman. She had long blonde hair and red eyes with a black spot under her left eye. She wore a white shirt, blue skinny jeans, a pair of black leather boots, a watch, and a necklace.

'Isn't that Elizabeth Greene?' Y/n thought to himself as he studies the woman.

"And now that you have become one of the world's greatest female singers and models, what is your next plan?" The interviewer asks, sitting in a chair a few feet from her.

The woman kept an unreadable look on her face as she stares at the person across from her. "To be completely honest, I just want to have a quiet life." The woman, Elizabeth, says calmly. "I want to settle down somewhere away from all the public and fame. Even though I've worked hard to get here, being constantly recognized by fans, and photographers can get tiring quickly." She explains.

"I see." The interviewer says.

'Good grief...' Y/n thought to himself as he rolls his eyes. He broke his gaze on the screen and focuses on anything else. 'I can never imagine having that much attention. It's so annoying to have people in your face all the time no matter where you go.'

But, he dismisses the thought soon after. He then began to think about school as he waits to be dropped off there.

....

In a car, Summer Rose parks her vehicle in front of a school. The school looked pretty average, with nothing much to say about it. It was a huge school with each of the buildings being two stories tall. Students were either entering the school or standing around with their friends and chatting with each other.

Both Yang and Ruby get out of the car with their school bags on their backs, both smiling as they turn to close their doors.

"Bye, mom!" Ruby says as she waves to her mother.

"See ya, Summer," Yang says with a half-wave.

"Bye, you two!" Summer says with a smile, waving at both of them. After, she took off and drove away. The two younger females turn back to the school and Ruby began to walk, however, her sister stated behind and looks around.

"You go on, sis. I'm gonna stay here for a bit." Yang says to her sister, causing her to turn around in confusion.

"How come?" Ruby asks curiously.

"Didn't I tell you last night?" Ruby shrugs. "I'm going to be waiting for y/n."

"Are you sure that's a good idea? Didn't you say that last time you saw him it didn't turn out too well?"

Yang shrugs this time. "Well, I mean, yeah. But this is his first day here. He'll need someone to show him where to go."

"If you say so," Ruby says unsurely. "Good luck, I guess." She says before hugging Yang, who gladly hugs her back. Without another word, the younger sister turns around and heads to the school building.

As she did, Yang watches on with a soft smile. When Ruby was gone, she was about to go find somewhere to wait but stops when she heard someone call out to her from her side. She turns to the voice in confusion but soon smiles when she recognizes who it was.

"Oh, hey, guys!" She says with a big smile as she waves to whoever was approaching her.

....

In one of the classrooms on the second floor in the school building, Ms. Sapphire was sitting on the frame of a window, looking out of it over her shoulder. She was deep in her thoughts as her eyes were studying all the students who were either entering the school or standing around the front, smirking a little to herself.

"Today's the day...~" She mutters to herself, a slight hint of lust in her voice as she bit her lower lip a little. "Y/n, y/n, y/n...~" She whispers, giggling quietly. "You have no idea how much I've been patiently waiting for this day~."

She felt a bit excited as she remembers y/n's reddened face when she first met him. Thinking about it, her legs instinctively rub together as she tried not to get wet, though it was a bit difficult for her.

But, she forces herself to stand up and walks to her desk before sitting in her chair, sighing to herself. 'Sure he may be a little younger than I usually prefer, but he's still quite cute none the less~.' She thought to herself, making her bite her lip again. 'Oh, how should I play this out I wonder...?~'

As she finishes her thought, her necklace began to shine an ominous lime green, along with her eyes as she grins a bit.

....

In a changing room, Raven Branwen opens up a locker, letting out a tired sigh. She took off her coat and was about to take off her shirt, but stops due to hearing a pair of heels clanging behind her.

"Seems like someone didn't rest well last night." A feminine voice says behind her, making Raven turn to face the person while crossing her arms.

"Nemuri," Raven says, a bit unpleased. "What is it you want?"

A few feet in front of her, a tall, curvaceous woman stood. She had sky blue eyes, which tilt downwards in the center; framed by a set of rather long eyelashes. She has abundant spiky dark purple hair which is made up of layers of varying lengths, the longest ones reaching down below her waist. Her chin-length bangs are split into three sections; two swept to the sides and one over her face, going diagonally down to the left between her eyes. She also has a small mole under her left eye, as well as red-painted nails. As usual, she wore her hero costume which was very similar to one of a traditional dominatrix. She wore a black leather breastless leotard over a white bodysuit, which emphasizes her breasts, body, and legs, the leotard possessing red gemstone-like accessories in a vertical pattern from the collar to the midriff. She also wore translucent black thigh-high stockings that are connected to her utility belt and black knee boots. She has a small, red mask outlining her eyes, a handcuff on each wrist, and a red utility belt decorated with gold studs around her hips, a matching pentagonal buckle in its center.

The woman, Nemuri, smirks a little as she shrugs.

"What??? Can't I be there for a friend?"

Raven scoffs. "You know I hate others getting into personal business."

"I know, I know," Nemuri says before sighing. "But it never hurts to let it out once in a while, you know?"

"..." Raven rolls her eyes and averts her gaze away from the other woman. "Was that all you needed from me?" She asks, her tone becoming impatient.

"Well, I wanted to ask if you knew the new student arriving today."

"Excuse me?" Raven asks, her eyes quickly focusing on Nemuri again. "What are you talking about?" She raises an eyebrow.

"I couldn't help but overhear Yang talk to her sister about a boy with the same name as the new student during passing periods yesterday. Sounded like the two knew him a bit. Was a bit curious if you also were familiar with him by chance?"

"And if I were?"

Nemuri shrugs. "I don't mean any harm, girl. Just wanted to know if you did know him is all. I know this will be his first time here, so I hoped he had a familiar face instruct him on how our classes work- to make it easier for him to adjust."

"..." Raven hesitantly gave in, slouching a little as she lets out an irritated sigh. "Alright, fine. I did know him. He and Yang went to the same daycare up to elementary school together. Though he and his family quickly moved away from this city soon after due to family drama. Happy now?" She asks, irritated.

Nemuri nods. "I am. So then-?"

"Just because I knew him doesn't mean I will treat him like he's special or anything. He'll be going through everything like all the rest of the students have. I didn't do it with my daughter, and neither will I do it with him."

"Fair enough," Nemuri says before turning around, though looks over her shoulder at her partner. "Then I guess I'll introduce him to the class, right?"

"I don't care," Raven says quickly, turning back to her locker.

"Alright," Nemuri says, smiling a little. "See you when class starts then." She says. She began to walk to the exit while waving a hand, not turning back to the other female.

Raven doesn't reply. She stayed still as she heard Nemuri walking away. And she continued to remain frozen as she heard the door open and close. It wasn't until she waited a couple of minutes after she lets out a sigh, shaking her head as well.

"She needs to mind her own damn business." She mutters to herself while starting to take off her shirt. "I hate it when she gets like that."

After that, she went silent. She began to change as she was deep in her thoughts.

===To be continued==>

Apologies for the late chapter again. I've been busy yet again. Plus, the day that I planned on working on this chapter was instead focused on a new story (yet again) called "Flames & Feathers". Hopefully, I can update this story again soon. I plan to update either Sunday or Monday but do not make any promises. But, enough of that. I do hope you enjoyed the chapter. And I do hope you all have a wonderful day/night. See ya.
