Prologue

Everything was dark, a bit too dark to see what was around. Just like a turned off screen, or a room without windows. No sense of surrounding, no idea what monsters lurk within.

Yet a vague figure soon appeared after silent, tortuous minutes of waiting for something to happen. The figure looked like it was wearing some type of robe, yet it held against the figure. It was weird, an outline of a person he could barely see and he didn't even recognize it. It gave him headaches.

Eventually a voice came "Do you know what a majority vote is?" It asked, in an almost disappointed sounding tone, like it was judging him for not having answered yet.

He was about to respond before..

"Ugh.. My head hurts.. The hell?" Jotaro complained, lifting his head up and looking around. Taking a notice that his stand was out, looking at him like it was concerned. Weird, that usually didn't happen, so he called his stand back, watching silently as it disappeared from sight. He finally recognized where he was in a classroom, the detention room to be specific. Guess he fell asleep on his desk, oh well.

He forced himself up, taking a moment to stretch before he shoved his hand in his jacket pockets, pulling out a box of cigarettes he kept on him, looking out the window to see how it was almost pitch black. Murmuring curses under his breath as he headed towards the school's exit, wondering why the hell the teacher didn't wake him up.

As soon as he got outside, Jotaro leaned against one of the walls near the door, looking around the outside. Noticing a few lights were still on, maybe a teacher stayed late? He didn't care, but he couldn't help but notice as he stuck a cigarette between his lips and started a small spark using a lighter.

He just wanted a quick bit of relief, yet he felt.. Anxious.

Like someone was there and he couldn't see them, so he looked around glaring at the surroundings. He didn't see anything yet the feeling remained, so he just unconsciously let his foot tap until he finished his cigarette. Blowing out the last bit of smoke before he took a step off the wall. He might as well head home before fear gets the better of him.

Taking a few steps, adjusting his hat before he tripped, feeling something wrapped around his leg. So apparently he was right, he wasn't alone here, shit.

"Star Platinum!" He called out, his stand coming out, punching at whatever was around his leg (with the signature calling of 'Ora!'), before he heard a sound of pain and whatever was around his leg dropped, quickly he looked around trying to spot where the noise came from. Apparently it came from a bush.

Just as he was about to command his stand to punch whoever was there, hands of surrender popped up and slowly moved away.

To reveal that the mysterious attacker wasn't even that mysterious at all. They had just offered an awkward smile and a tilt of the head "Apologies Jotaro, I just wanted to see if I could scare you." Kakyoin excused, his smile remained as Jotaro just shook his head "Good grief.. If you don't want to be punched, don't act like an enemy, Noriaki." Jotaro said, giving him a slight glare that Kakyoin only responded to with a chuckle.

"What are you doing at school so late anyways? Were you waiting for me..?" Jotaro asked, offering a slightly confused glance but nothing else was on his usually emotionless face "I thought I told you I started taking an after school club? Either way I got out early so I decided to wait, plus I wouldn't want to walk alone." Kakyoin commented, before turning to head towards the school gates.

Jotaro sighed under his breath and followed after Kakyoin, why was he friends with him again? Too talkative for his liking.. But at least Kakyoin was a good friend, someone trustworthy. But he still ignored his ramblings about the art club he was now taking, not really wanting to hear it.

After a bit of walking they reached a somewhat dark street, Kakyoin had stopped for a moment, still saying what happened. "Plus I-" He started, before the taller one interrupted "I know you enjoy art, but I'm not interested, so did you do anything important or not?" He commented, frowning a little bit

Kakyoin sighed, disappointed to find out he wasn't listening the entire time "Nothing too important, I had just made a few sketches I was proud of, plus I met a few people who were very friendly. To sum it up." He said, pouting as he messed with that cherry twirl in his hair.

Jotaro just nodded, it was easy enough to understand then "Maybe you could show them to me, later of course." He said, turning back but froze. The streetlamp in front of the two suddenly had a mysterious figure behind it, just out of reach of the light.

Jotaro just stared, tempted to call out his stand but it didn't feel right to fight, not until he at least knew if they were dangerous, The only detail he really picked up was a headband on the stranger, before he grabbed Kakyoin's wrist and ran for it "Jotaro!? What the hell-" Kakyoin started, before he noticed the figure too.

After a few minutes of panicked running and repeatedly trying to explain why he suddenly ran for it, they reached Jotaro's house. It was closer anyways (Even if it would inconvenience Kakyoin on his own way back home, that was none of Jotaro's problem since he would be at his own house.)

"Who the hell was that?" Noriaki commented, taking a moment to take a breath so he didn't say anything else. It wasn't too far of a run but so suddenly, and quickly that it was a bit exhausting to say the least. Jotaro just thought for a moment "Do you think I know? Well it wasn't an enemy, but it wasn't anyone we could trust.. Be careful on your wake back home." Jotaro just pulled his hat over his face turning towards his own home.

Kakyoin thought for a moment and nodded before taking a few steps backwards "Alright then i'll be careful, i'll see you tomorrow at school Jotaro!" He said, offering a bright smile before he turned and began to walk off.

Jotaro just murmured under his breath as he began to head towards his house, but as he looked at it he noticed that all the lights were off, it was getting later so it made sense, but he expected to see one form of light, considering his mother would probably still be awake at this time since he hadn't come home yet.

But that didn't bother him.

As soon as he went inside he went around, looking for the light switch that he never remembered the location of, when he noticed his foot hit something, his eyes immediately snapped towards the floor. It wasn't anything important but it was a small desk, knocked over the contents splattered all over the floor.

That was easily enough to concern him though, why would it have been knocked over?

"Star Platinum!' He called, his stand manifesting beside him, he quickly gestured for it to find the light switch. He decided to use his limited vision to look around as his stand went off, most likely to turn on the lights. He couldn't see shit, but more signs of some type of fight kept popping up. He didn't like it, he did not like it at all.

Eventually the lights suddenly flipped on, Star Platinum coming back beside him.

He quickly looked around, after a moment or two he finally noticed what had knocked the desk over, spotting his own mother's body laying beside it "The hell?!" He exclaimed, louder than usual, but it had surprised him so of course he must have been loud.

He had gone over to it, letting out a sigh of relief when he noticed she was still breathing. Yet she looked bad, maybe she would have a broken wrist. He wouldn't know, he was no doctor. Quickly he stood up, looking for where the suspect might have gone. Yet then he heard footsteps, quickly snapping around with Star Platinum heading in front of him in case it was the same person who did this to his mother.

Yet he let out a sigh of either relief or frustration when once again, it was only his red headed friend. Yet he looked concerned "Jotaro I heard-" He spotted Holly and just gasped "M-ms Kujo!?" He quickly exclaimed.

"It's fine Kakyoin, she just passed out.. But I don't know who the hell did it." He explained, before he turned away, about to head off "Call the police, I'll go search for them.." Jotaro commented, Noriaki looked like he was about to object yet Jotaro had already left the room. Yet Jotaro did hear a sigh of frustration which got a somewhat chuckle out of him.

Jotaro went looking around, noticing almost every door was opened as he searched around trying to find any other evidence, until he found a door that was closed. Quickly he openned it and headed in, before he had time to react he felt something grab him. An electric shock pulsing through him as he let out a last yell as Star Platinum disappeared.

As his consciousness faded, the last thing he heard was Kakyoin running in his direction, asking what happened.
