"Who was that…" Jungkook is quiet "...Kookie?" 

Jimin's words break Taehyung's heart. Taehyung was guided outside the ward by Jungkook when the man suddenly burst out crying when Jimin didn't recognize him

"Taehyung…. He was a friend of yours…" Jungkook says making Jimin frown 

"I don't remember him… was he important to me?"

"Maybe not anymore…" Jungkook says

Taehyung walks away with tears in his eyes

Jungkook and Jimin were neighbors. Jungkook looked up to the boy, Jimin was 2 years older than him. Still, they used to hang out and have fun. 

Soon, Jimin went to Seoul for college, Jungkook joined him 2 years later.

By then Jungkook finds out that Jimin is in a relationship with Taehyung. He was too late in confessing what he felt for Jimin all these years

Everything was well with the couple, till one day Jimin finds Taehyung kissing another man. That broke Jimin’s heart. He knew Taehyung would never do that to him. It's true for the past week Taehyung has been a bit distant, the boy always looked depressed and sad but no matter how much Jimin tried to ask him the reason, they just ended up fighting, leading both of them to cry themselves to sleep. And now to see the one Jimin trusted and loved the most cheat on him, that really hurt. 

"I don't love you anymore… I'm sure you understood that by now…" Taehyung says with no emotion as he looks at Jimin

Jimin found it hard to believe. He kept messaging Taehyung but the boy ignored him. Jimin got depressed and would often cry and Jungkook was the one who kept him strong, the younger really hated Taehyung for what he did to Jimin. 

Jungkook goes to talk to the man. He knows Taehyung loves Jimin as well, it was pretty evident in his eyes then why was he portraying himself as a cheater

Taehyung calls Jimin when he hears from Jungkook that the smaller has started cutting himself. 

Taehyung tells the boy to elope with him if he loves him, to which Jimin agrees. 

You see, Taehyung is from a rich family and they want him to marry Yoongi. The man was rich and powerful and had taken quick the liking to Taehyung. Yoongi was determined to make Taehyung his and he was ready to kill anyone for it - especially Jimin. And that was the reason why Taehyung did what he did, he thought he was saving Jimin but if the boy was attempting suicide then maybe it would be better to risk it all and be together. 

So they decided to elope but Yoongi was a hot tempered man.  He followed them, taking his gun along with him. 

At the meeting place he kept Jimin at gunpoint till Taehyung agreed to marry only him. When Taehyung falls on his knees and agrees to be with Yoongi's only, the man accidentally pushes Jimin onto the incoming traffic in a hurry to get to Taehyung, which causes Jimin to get into an accident. 

And now Jimin doesn't remember Taehyung at all. So Taehyung decides to marry Yoongi as was decided earlier. He has to protect Jimin, even if the smaller didn't remember him.

Everything was going well with Jimin. He was living his life happily with Jungkook. They became great friends and soon started dating. Jungkook didn't want this chance to go  if Jimin doesn't remember his past, then Jungkook would make sure Jimin never forgot his future.

Jungkook had arranged everything for his proposal. He wanted to make Jimin his, officially.

Jimin smiled with tears in his eyes seeing Jungkook go down on one knee 

"Will you marry me Jimin?" 

Jimin's eyes widen in shock

Those words. It sounded familiar. 

Run away with me. Please. I love you so much 

"Aah!!!!" Jimin screamed in pain as he held his head 

Jungkook stands up shocked "Jimin… are you okay?" He holds the boy who kept crying. His sobs made Jungkook tear up. Jimin sounded as if he was in a lot of pain

"Taehyung…" Jimin sobs "...I remember everything…"

Jungkook is heartbroken when Jimin insists that he needs to see Taehyung. 
He knows that he can't stop the smaller from his one true love so he lets the boy go

Jungkook fell on the floor, clutching the ring box to his chest

I lost you a second time

Jimin runs to Taehyung's house. The man is surprised seeing a crying Jimin at his room

"Jimin!"

Jimin jumps on Taehyung, hugging him as if his life depended on it 

"I remember… I remember you… Taehyung… I'm so sorry that I forgot you…" Jimin couldn't stop crying 

Taehyung sobbed along with Jimin as he hugged the boy back. How much he needed this. 

 They left their story incomplete and started another story with some else. They both needed this closure to finally move on

Taehyung had by now fallen for Yoongi. He wasn't a bad guy. A bit hot tempered yes, but ever since he accidently caused Jimin's accident, the man changed. He was there for Taehyung, he apologized and gave him space. 

Jimin and Taehyung, they were both happy for the other for finding their true love. 

"I hope in our next life we meet again as best friends and soulmates…" Taehyung says as he drops Jimin off at Jungkook's house.

They both decided to not continue their friendship. Their significant others would always be anxious if so. Jimin knows how possessive and jealous Jungkook could get but he had to finish the old chapter to start his new life with Jungkook. He had to apologize to Taehyung for everything that happened. He just had to. And now he can start his new journey on a clean slate with no regrets

Jimin enters the house to see Jungkook stare blankly at the ceiling as he drank wine. Jungkook sat there wondering how life would go on without Jimin by his side 

"Jungkook…" 

Jimin's voice brings Jungkook back to reality 

Jimin goes over, takes the glass from Jungkook and sits on his lap. Jungkook was confused - shouldn't Jimin be with Taehyung?

"I am here because I wanted to give you the answer to your question…" Jimin says leaning over to take the ring box from the table. He opens it and slips on the ring "...of course I will marry you…"

"Why did you go to Taehyung then?" Jungkook was happy but felt jealous that Jimin valued Taehyung more than him 

"I had to see him. I needed the closure. We were both hurting Jungkook. I had to end the chapter with him to start my new chapter with you…" 

Jungkook pouts when Jimin only pecks his lips 

"...And it's a good thing I remembered everything because now you know I love only you... I don't love Tae anymore and you don't ever have to worry thinking what if I remember my past and don't love you anymore…" Jimin says wiping the tear that rolled off Jungkook's eye "...It's always gonna be you Jungkook... I love you" 

Jimin smiles feeling Jungkook's lips on his 

"I love you too Jimin… so much" Jungkook sobbed as he hugged the boy closer to him
