“Thank you so much for helping me out.”, Tamara said as her and Lillian put cloths over the table. They were decorating the small hall, big enough for family and friend to be around to celebrate Tamara daughter, Julianna, first birthday and it was a fairy theme.

“No problem.”, Lillian said. “It gets me out the house.”.

Tamara brought her hands up to her her chest and she beamed, I can't wait, Kale's plan should be arriving soon and he'll be Julianna first birthday gift. Two month is so long isn't so long long, but I can't wait.”, she said. “And this party is just going to be great. My mother is going to take so many pictures, I want to be able to remember this day thirty years from now!”

Lillian chuckled, “Jeez, Tam, calm down. I know your excited, but relax before you give yourself a heart attack.”.

She chuckled, “Your right. But oh! You should see Julie little outfit. It's so cute. It's a purple sparkly dress and it has wings on the back and she has a little wand. She can't look any cuter or I would die.”, she said. “Zane is getting big, he just turned six months right?”.

Lillian nodded, 'Yeah, soon he'll be one before I know.”, she said, then realized...Zane wont be a baby forever. He'll be turning one in another six months. “Then five, and ten, then fifteen and they wont need us anymore. Oh, why can't they stay babies forever!”, Lillian whined and Tamara nodded as she agreed and they hugged.

After hugging for a moment, Tamara asked, “So did Ryan say he'll be coming?”, she asked, changing the subject so they wont get anymore emotional about their growing babies.

“Yeah, I mean, he has to. He is the one that's going to bring Zane.”, she said.

“Great, cause I want Kale to meet the both of you.”, she said.

“Can't wait.”, she said.

“Do you want to see the cake Kale and I picked out?”, she asked, reaching behind her for her phone. Lillian nodded excitedly and Tamara looked through her iPhone pictures, “It was a little pricey, but Kale buddies chipped in, a way of saying sorry they couldn't come—ahh, here we are.”.

“Oh wow, it's so pretty.”, Lillian said at the castle cake. It had fiary and plants all around. It was a pretty cake. “How are you suppose to cut that though?”.

She shrugged, “How the hell am I suppose to know?”, she asked, chuckling. “I'll figure it out though I'm sure.”.

“Your a good mom, Tamara.”, Lillian said and Tamara blushed as she smiled.

“Thanks, but I can't take the whole role. Your an amazing mom to Zane, I never seen a more happier little more then him. So filled with energy.”, she said.

Lillian sighed and chuckled, “I know, I have to give him a bottle for him to calm down something cause he starting to crawl now.”.

Lillian looked around as people began to fill the room, mostly all of Tamara family, so Lillian was the stranger here. She was helping put food on the table for everyone to start eating. She was smiling on the outside, but she was getting annoyed on the inside. Ryan should have been here with Zane thirty minutes ago.

When she finish putting food on the table, she went outside in the cold and took her phone out, calling Ryan to see where he was.

Ryan picked up and he was laughing, “H-hello?”.

“Ryan,”, she said, trying to sound calm. “Where are you?”.

“Oh, Lil, I'm at home.”, he said. “Why? It's not four yet.”.

“Yes it is.”, she said.

It was quiet for a moment, “Holy crap, it is!”, he said.

Lillian opened her mouth to tell him to stop whatever he's doing and get here with Zane until she heard laughing in the background. It was a females. Her eyebrows came together in confusion, “Who was that?”.

“Oh, uh....”, he said.

“Ryan?”, she said in a warning type voice.

“Haa, Zane! Stop it, okay, have it back!”, she heard Hanna in the back and her mouth dropped shocked.

“Hanna stopped over cause I forgot something at work and brought it over to me.”, he said. “She wanted to see Zane.”.

Lillian quickly felt jealous, there was no lie. She pressed her lips together angrily and she wanted to yell.

“Oh! Is that Lillian!?”, Hanna asked excitedly. “Hi Lillian!”, she said loudly. “How do you like the phone?”.

Lillian gasp as she pulled the phone away from her ear. This is her phone!?!?, she growled. Ryan had told her it was used and she had no problem with that, but she never did ask who he got it from! So it was Hanna old phone? Just peachy great!

She brought the phone back to her ear when she felt some control, “Oh Ryan?”.

“Yes?”.

“Get my son here now.”, she said, her voice a little warningly before she hung up. No bye or I love you.

She huffed as she turned and went back inside the building. Oh he better watch his back when he gets here!, she thought.

Twenty minutes passed when she saw a car drive in through the driveway near a window she was at and she lifted her chin, thinking he got her warning. She walked away and went over to Tamara who had Julianna in her eyes. Not wanting her friend to ask question, she played like she wasn't mad at.

And Tamara was right, Julianna looked so adorable in her fairy dress.

A moment later, she heard the doors opened and Tamara and Lillian head turned to see Ryan come in with Zane on his hip. And apparently, a guest.

“Who's she?”, Tamara asked, looking at Hannah confused.

It took Lillian a moment to answer since she was screaming inside her head, cursing Ryan name! The she stopped and warned herself this time, No!! You will not be the jealous girlfriend! Nothing to be jealous of. So sure she just comes over, hangs out with your birthday and son, just comes to your own best friend daughter party who she doesn't even know. No problem.

“Hanna.”, Lillian said. “Works with Ryan.”, she added before walking over to them, forcing a small smile on her face. She ignored Ryan and reached for Zane, “Hi cutie!”, she said, kissing his cheek. She looked at Hanna now, “Nice surprise to see you, Hanna.”, she said, friendly. No need to start a fight a party.

She smiled, “I know, but I didn't want to go home. My parent...they fight sometimes and I love kids. I hope your friend doesn't mind.”.

“I don't.”, Tamara said as she came up to them. She didn't sound as friendly as Lillian, but she didn't seem rude either. “Why don't you come with me and we'll get to know each other?”.

“Oh, um, okay.”, Hanna said, sounding a little confused, but went with Tamara.

Lillian fixed Zane hat on his head, avoiding Ryan and he sighed, “Look, I couldn't say no.”.

“Of course you couldn't, it wont seem rude.”, she said, looking up at him. “Just thank you for getting Zane here.”, she said, pausing for a second. “Late.”.

“I lose track of time! Sorry if that makes me a criminal.”, he said, having an attitude.

She huffed, “Whatever.”.

“Lillian, stop! We both went through this, we need to stop getting jealous!”, he said. “Stop making me feel like a bad dad.”.

“I never said that!”, she said. She has never accused him of being a bad dad. Ryan actually a really great dad, amazing more like it. She's surprised to see how good he is and he give Zane everything he needs. Love and everything else.

“Right. I'm just a bad boyfriend.”, he said and she pressed her lips together, glaring at him.

“I never said that either!”, she said, huffing.

“Then what is it?”, he asked.

“It's...it's...”, she groaned, wanting to say Hanna so bad, but didn't want to come off a jealous clingy girlfriend. “Nothing. I'm not fighting here.”, she said, turning around and walked over to where Tamara and Hanna were.

She swayed with Zane on her hips as Tamara look excited, “Kale should be here any minutes, I can't wait for him to see Julianna.”.

Lillian opened her mouth as she nodded, but Hanna suddenly spoke, “He'll think she's a real little fairy. I mean, look how adorable she is!”, she said as she took Julianna hands and waved them. Julianna giggled and looked at Hanna excitedly.

Lillian couldn't believe, Hanna was actually trying hard to be friends with Tamara! She's going to take her now! She already took all of Ryan attention, she wont have Tamara!

Soon Zane started crying and throwing a tantrum. She realized this was around the time she would give him a bottle. She excused herself and grabbed her bag where his formula was. She went inside the bathrooms since she sure she'll have to give his diaper.

She made a face when she knew she was right by opening his diaper and quickly changed him so she could get a bottle in his mouth. She through the dirty diaper away after putting a fresh one on him and grabbed his bottle and water bottle. She then heard the doors to the hall open and she heard Tamara's voice call out 'Kale' and she cursed silently to herself. She thought she would be with Tamara when he arrived! She hurried his bottle and give it to him. He didn't drink warm milk right now since his teeth were still coming. He had one small tooth and she felt another one earlier coming.

She picked Zane up, “Aw, I know, I know.”, she said as she put the bottle in his mouth and he quickly began sucking on it. She pushed the door opened from the bathroom with her shoulder as she came out and she saw few feet away a guy in a military uniform. He had Julianna in his arm, looking down at her lovingly as one arm around Tamara who was hugging his waist.

Kale then looked at Ryan and Hanna, “You two must be Lillian and Ryan, I thought Tamara said you were blonde though.”, he said and both their faces dropped. Lillian mouth dropped and she pressed her lips dangerouly together but dropped the anger look as she walked over to them.

“Oh, no, Kale, that isn't Lillian.”, Tamara said.

Lillian came around in view and tried her best to smile, “Actually, I am.”.

“Oh.”, Kale said, seeming shock and a little embarrassed. He tried to play it off coolly though, “Sorry about that. It's really nice to meet you, Tamara says a lot of good things about you. And this must be Zane.”, he said, taking his arm from around Tamara and light flicked his cheek playfully. “What a handsome little man you are.”.

Lillian faked chuckled, “Thanks. Julianna one of the beautifulest little girls I've seen.”.

He chuckled, “Well, she does take after her mama.”, he said, putting his arm back around Tamara who blushed and smiled.

After spending more time with Kale and everything, the cake was brought out and Lillian help put on the little decoration of doll fairy onto the cake.

Tamara leaned in to whispered to her, “I think he's going to propose soon.”.

Lillian tried her best to smile, “I'm so happy for you.”.

Tamara frowned a little, “Lillian, what's wrong?”.

She shook her head, “It's nothing.”.

She snorted, “Lil, come on. It's about her,”, she said, bobbing her head towards Hanna who was playing with Zane, “isn't it?”.

Lillian didn't have to say anything and Tamara nodded.

“Lil, don't worry. She doesn't got anything on you, believe me. She's nice, it seems.”, she said.

“To nice.”, she said. “Ryan so friendly with her and I—i just have this weird feeling in my gut.”.

“I know how you feel, I don't like being so away from Kale cause there is so many girls in his training camp. So many girls who I think would be better for him; independent strong girls, but I have trust Kale.”.

It was by now all the decorations were on and they stood there, hoping no one would notice the cake was finished, “I trust Ryan to.”, she said and she wished she could pause time to as everyone gather around so she would finish talking to Tamara. She leaned closer to her, “It's her I don't trust.”, she said quickly before someone—like Ryan or Hanna—could hear.
