Briar Giselle Rose Arenas (born June 2, 1992) is an American singer and songwriter. She first gained public attention as the eldest daughter of Beyoncé. She is of Tongan, Samoan, Louisiana Creole, and African American descent. Raised in a musical family, she expressed an interest in music from an early age and had temporary stints as a backup singer for her mother and aunts. At 16, she released her first studio album Briar which received platinum certifications in various countries worldwide and sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
