Briar Giselle Rose Arenas (born June 2, 1992) is an American singer and songwriter. She first gained public attention as the eldest daughter of Beyoncé. She is of Tongan, Samoan, Louisiana Creole, and African American descent. Raised in a musical family, she expressed an interest in music from an early age and had temporary stints as a backup singer for her mother and aunts. At 16, she released her first studio album Briar which received platinum certifications in various countries worldwide and sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Her various accolades include ten Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, ten MTV Video Music Awards, and twelve Guinness World Records.

Briar has three children with her husband, Henry Folau. Her eldest child and only daughter, Giselle Rose Raiaba Sabina Folau, was born on May 3, 2010. Briar's other children include sons Keola Henry Aonani Folau (born December 12, 2013) and Tane Henare Carey Folau (born February 20, 2020).
