LEARNING TO FORGIVE 🙏
CHAPTER SIX
I grinned widely at Luke as I watched him sing his song at his home recording studio and he smiled back at me. I wasn't going to lie; Luke was a fantastic singer, and he was absolutely amazing at writing songs. I had no doubt that he was going to be a huge star one day and I was happy to be a small part of that. If it wasn't for me pushing him to send in his demo to that record label, he wouldn't be making this EP right now and the thought that I helped him possibly become a star made me so proud.
After he finished recording, he walked out of the booth and sat down next to me. I rested my head on his shoulder and sighed. "I cannot wait for the day when I hear one of your songs on the radio. It's gonna be so cool to know that that's my best friend singing." I admitted and he chuckled as he rested his head on top of mine.
"Well, I can only hope that this record label will be able to get me on the radio. They are pretty new and I'm basically the first person to sign with them." He sighed and I shrugged.
"So what? I have faith that they'll be able to get you to the top." I teased and we both laughed.
"You'll never guess who talked to me today."
"Who?"
"Austin." I sat up quickly and stared at him in shock. "Trust me, that was my face too when I saw him approach me." He chuckled and I began to worry about what Luke might've said to him. "Don't worry, I didn't tell him that we hooked up or anything. He was just asking how you were doing and stuff." He rolled his eyes and I looked down at my hands as I felt my heart flutter at the fact that he went out of his way to find Luke and ask him about me.
"God, I can't believe I still have feelings for him after what he did to me." I chuckled humorlessly and Luke nudged me with his arm.
"Hey, he was your first love, Leah. It's gonna take some time to get over him." He smiled reassuringly at me, and I sighed.
"I know, I just hate that I just can't get over him and move on with my life."
"Well, if you didn't love him then you would be able to move on, but you did. It's a learning experience, you know? He taught you what love was and that even the most perfect people can break your heart." I rested my head back on his shoulder and he started to stroke my hair.
"I just want it to stop hurting." I whispered as tears started to sting at my eyes and he sighed.
"I know, Alleah. I know." I closed my eyes to keep the tears from falling and hugged Luke tightly. "He also asked if I was mad at him too and if we were still friends." He snorted as he shook his head.
"Luke, you don't have to stop being friends just because of me."
"I know, I'm just pissed at him too because you're both my friends and he hurt you. I told him that what he did to you was fucked up and that I wouldn't be hanging with him for a while, and he understood." I frowned and hated that I was basically ruining their friendship. They were really good friends and I felt guilty for keeping them apart.
"I'm serious, Luke. You and Austin are best friends, don't let your feelings for me ruin your friendship."
"Don't worry, Leah. I still consider him my friend, I'm just mad at him right now." He assured me and I was semi satisfied with that answer, so I closed my eyes to keep the tears from escaping and did my best to keep Austin from running through my mind.
{{Hi y'all! Do you think Alleah should forgive Austin? Tbh Idk if I would forgive him because that was messed up what he did to her, but let me know all of your opinions in the comments! Thank you for reading my story, I'll update soon! I love y'all! ❤️
