I'm also debating on changing Hunter's name... your thoughts? I have a couple in mind, but I want to hear from you guys!

2. Knight in Shining Armour? Ha.
|Eleanor Winters|
Nobody took the shot.
I felt the blush dust across my cheeks as the group stared at me. I turned toward my best friend, ignoring Hunter, and smiled as she gave me a knowing look.
"You've never been kissed!?" Mary shouted, causing the attention to go over to her. I could see the malicious look beginning to take over her features.
I shook my head, "No, I believe I said never have I ever had a mind blowing kiss," I corrected her.
Mary snorted, she was a witch even when drunk, "It's basically the same thing, if a kiss isn't good- it's not even a real kiss," she said.
I shrugged, "Fine then, I've never had a real kiss," I amended. She may have been a witch, but that didn't mean I didn't agree with her, it wasn't a real kiss if you felt absolutely nothing.
"Well then sweetness, I think that means you need to take the shot," Hunter whispered from beside me. I shrugged, I guess it did; apparently I was the only one who never had a real kiss. I kept eye contact with the smug Hunter as I grabbed the shot glass; I only looked away for a moment to stare at the clear liquid. I ignored the glint in Hunter's eyes and sighed before counting to three in my head.
One...
Two...
Three... bottom's up I suppose
The liquid burned my throat as the alcohol passed my lips. This wasn't the first time I had a shot, but that didn't mean I liked it nor had it often. I could feel my face screw up in distaste and from beside me Hunter laughed at my distress.
When the burning feeling passed I placed the glass down on the table in front of me like a pro, "Okay who's next?" I asked. I was so done with this game and the too interested look that Hunter was giving me was slightly unnerving. Audrey could see my distress and, bless her heart, even drunk she could read me. She quickly turned the attention to her. I sighed and stood up from the circle and stretched my arms upwards. I was beginning to feel the heat of the room and needed a breather.
Before I could leave Audrey grabbed my wrist, "Elle! Don't leave me!" she exclaimed. So much for helping me escape.
I chuckled and gently pried her hand from my wrist, "Don't worry Audie, I'll be back- I just need a breather 'kay?" I said. Audrey stared at me for another moment before she nodded her head.
"Be careful Ellie Bellie!" she called, having a small giggle fit.
"Ellie Bellie?" Hunter questioned, thoroughly amused.
I rolled my eyes, "Shut up," I grumbled before I walked towards the stairs.
I did my best to ignore the burning stare I felt from behind me.

For some reason, I decided that being outside in the middle of winter was a fabulous idea. I was standing outside on the snowy deck, my jacket wrapped around me as I breathed in the cool winter air. It may have been cold outside, but the snow falling from the sky was such a beautiful and calming sight. I closed my eyes for a moment, ignoring the blasting music coming from the house behind me and the cold nips Jack Frost was leaving on my cheeks.
When I opened my eyes I looked down at my phone and saw it was just shy of one o'clock in the morning. The moon was shining brightly in the sky, it was set in the waning crescent phase and created such a lovely sight. I wished I had a camera so I could capture the sight. I would have used my phone, but phone cameras never took justifying pictures of the sky.
I sighed softly, feeling the cold seep into my pockets. I took the wool mittens that were in my pocket out and slipped them onto my hands and I instantly felt the warmth they provided me. Why hadn't I done that earlier? I shook my head at my moment of idiocy. As my fingers began to gain their original warmth back, I breathed out deeply and watched as my breath turned into a puff of visible air.
"Isn't it a little cold for you to be out here?"
I shifted my body slightly to see Hunter standing against the door, he was leaning against the threshold and the party lights behind him began frantically dancing through the air as they escaped through the open door, while the too loud music travelled out to where I was.
I smiled lightly at his teasing comment, "I could say the same to you," I countered.
Hunter chuckled and closed the door as he moved so he was standing next to me, "Touché," he amended. I sucked in a breath, I could feel his body presence as he faced me. I looked at him from the corner of my eye to see him grinning crookedly at me. I turned away, biting my lip to keep from grinning back, I didn't want him thinking I was one of those girls who instantly started to crush on someone because of some playful banter. The two of us fell silent after that, both of us just staring at the star filled sky. For a moment (when I was sure he was occupied with the sight of the sky) I allowed myself to look at Hunter, trying my best to not make my staring obvious.
His dark hair was covered in small snowy flakes while his cheeks were beginning to tinge to a pink hue from the frosty air. I tried to surpress a giggle at the redness of his nose; that wasn't a sight one saw every day. Hunter's grey eyes were trained on the moon, a soft smile on lips and he looked pretty... normal. The usual, "I-don't-care," expression seemed to be wiped off his features ,and I had to admit that I liked the soft look he was sporting much better.
I breathed deeply, "What are you doing out here?" I asked, the curiosity beginning to eat at me. Last time I checked, he was enjoying the little game he had made up.
I watched as Hunter let out a deep breath and chuckled lightly, "I could ask you the same," he countered, using the same words I had used on him earlier. Hunter looked at me from the corner of his eye and winked; I laughed and shook my head at his teasing.
We were silent for another moment as I thought about what I wanted to say, "It's too stuffy in there," I finally answered.
"So you decided to come out into the cold?" he questioned incredulously.
I shrugged, "It's quieter and I don't know, it might be colder, but..." I murmured, looking away to the pretty snow touched ground, "It's nicer out here," I said. My cheeks began filling with heat at my confession. Hunter chuckled quietly and I narrowed my eyes at his amusement, "Your turn," I muttered. I turned my head back around to look at him and saw he was already looking in my direction.
Hunter shrugged, "I couldn't let a pretty girl like you out here all alone, who knows what might have happened?" he teased.
I snorted, "So what? Are you supposed to be my knight in shining armour?" I questioned in amusement.
Hunter smirked, "If the sword fits," he winked.
I chuckled at his double meaning; he could be such an idiot. Instead of dignifying his comment with a response, I turned back towards the moon for a moment. I felt another chill crawl down my spine, maybe it was time I went back inside, but something was holding me back, did I want to go back into the house with drunk idiots running around all over? ...I felt another bite of cold whisk past my cheeks and leave a small stinging sensation; yes, yes I did.
"Well, am I ever grateful for having you out here," I said sarcastically, but kept the teasing in my tone. Hunter may have been annoying, but that didn't mean I needed to act like a bitch. So, I began to walk backward towards the house, keeping the smile on my face.
"Who knows what could have happ- ah!"
Goddamn ice.
Just like a cliché, strong jacket covered arms caught me before I fell flat onto the icy deck and possibly broke something. I quickly snapped open my eyes and saw Hunter's smirking form above me.
"You were saying?" he teased.
I rolled my eyes, but smiled nonetheless, "Shut up" I grumbled. Hunter chuckled and quickly whisked me back up onto my feet. I grabbed onto his arms so I could keep myself steady. When I was sure I wasn't going to slip again, I lightly pushed Hunter away from me and looked away so he couldn't see my blush.
"Is that how you thank your saviour?" Hunter questioned, I stole a quick look at him and saw he was giving me a cheeky look. I let out a small laugh and playfully nodded my head at him.
"I could have let you fall," he teased.
I rolled my eyes, "I don't think your ego would have let you," I said with a teasing smack on his arm.
Hunter chuckled and moved a piece of hair that had escaped my hat and fallen in front of my eyes. The gesture was a little too intimate for my taste, and I could feel how it was affecting me; and I did not consider it as something good.
"You got me there gorgeous, I could never let a lady fall in my presence," he said with a 'charming' smile.
I rolled my eyes at his antics, "In all seriousness, thank you. I don't think falling on my ass in the snow and ice would have been too nice," I said. See, I can be nice... if it was necessary.
Hunter chuckled and moved closer towards me, "Well that's one way to thank me," he murmured.
I raised a brow at him, "One way? What other way could I have thanked you?" I questioned. Hunter smirked and it was then that I realized he had pinned me against the backdoor. When had that happened? I noticed the lights from the house was reflecting onto his face, causing random splashes of colour to fall around him. As I looked into his grey eyes; the snow fell around us in pretty little flakes, their cold temperature contrasting with the warmth of Hunter's minty, yet slightly alcohol smelling, breath that was fanning my face.
I felt his lips graze my ear and a shiver found its way down my back; I rationalized that it was from the cold and not Hunter's soft lips.
"You could always give the handsome knight a reward," he whispered; eyes trailing up and down my form.
My heart was beating frantically in my chest, and my eyes widened at the implication in his words. A reward? Just what kind of reward could this boy be looking for? It didn't look too good for him since he did have me pressed up against the door; his body was flush with mine with his smouldering gaze piercing into my frozen one. I knew Hunter's reputation and I definitely wasn't going to take my chances with him, so it was a surprise when he laughed at the frazzled look I shot him. Hunter moved back slightly, allowing me to have some breathing room as he chuckled at me.
"As tempting as that is, that is not the type reward I was referring too," he assured me.
I felt the heat creep into my cheeks, "Can you blame me? I know your reputation," I said, keeping my eyes locked on his and not allowing my embarrassment to show.
"Be that as it may, I promise that's not what I was asking," he reassured me; a somewhat serious look on his face.
I narrowed my eyes when his lip quirked upwards, "Sort of," he added on as an afterthought. I didn't like the mischief that appeared in his eyes.
If I could have, I would have stepped backwards and away from him. Since I couldn't, I crossed my arms over my chest and gave him a defiant look.
"Sort of?" I repeated; this probably wasn't going to be something I'd be jumping for joy at. Hunter nodded and leaned forward so we were less than a hair's width away. I felt like my breath had been taken right from under my nose, but I did my best to look intimidating, but deep down I knew I was as intimidating as a kitten. Hunter stared into my eyes, the look was intense and it was no wonder why he had girls falling at his feet. He was like modern day James Dean.
"I think the beautiful princess should give the handsome knight a mind blowing kiss."
I blinked for a moment; my brain was processing his words slower than usual. When what he said finally clicked, I let out a loud laugh.
"That's what this is about?" I questioned through my giggles. Instead of looking embarrassed like I initially thought he would, Hunter was just smirking at me with that self-assured look plastered on his face.
"What kind of man would I be if I let a gorgeous lady like you, live out her life without experiencing a real kiss?" he said as if the thought was absolutely ludicrous, "It's unthinkable," he added dramatically.
I laughed and rolled my eyes, "So what? You think you're the most qualified?" I questioned. Okay maybe I was teasing him a bit, but could you blame me? He clearly had enough ego to fill the world twice and even then, he would probably still have some left over.
Hunter shrugged nonchalantly, "Of course sweetness, I am the knight in shining armour after all."
I glared at the suggestive look he gave me. Quickly, I pushed his body off of me and carefully walked back over to the rail of the high deck. I looked over the snow covered lawn and pool, my thoughts buzzing around everywhere in my mind. I needed to take a few calming breaths before I could face Hunter again. Whether I wanted to admit it or not, he was quite the charmer and even I needed a minute to clear my head. When I turned back around Hunter was already making his way toward me.
"Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but you couldn't give me a real kiss even if you tried," I said. Hunter gave me an offended look and that only made the giggles come out even more. I guess he didn't appreciate me doubting his skills; I could see the gears working in his mind to process what I was saying.
"You doubt my skills?" he questioned in mock disbelief.
I laughed, "I'm sure your skills are... more than adequate," I assured him, "but I can tell you that I've dated a guys like you before and like I said, I still haven't had a real kiss," I explained. It was true, I've went through my fair share of overconfident, cocky guys who think they are God's gift to women. Okay... maybe two, but both of them didn't know how to kiss properly, one time it felt like I was drowning in his spit- disgusting. I can tell you that relationship didn't last very long and I try my best to not think about it.
"Guys like me?" Hunter asked and a small amused smile crept onto his features. I watched as he crossed his arms over his broad chest as he raised a brow at me. I tried not to allow myself to get distracted at how attractive he looked doing that, even in a jacket and I will admit that I was slightly jealous. In my jacket I looked like a giant marshmallow, well not really since my jacket wasn't white nor was it puffy, I just think I looked weird in my jacket... maybe like a baby walrus. Thinking about it, I remember that I did have a guy call me a burnt marshmallow when I was in elementary school, but I digress.
I gave him a pointed look, "You know the overconfident, cocky, 'I'm sexy and I know it' with an ego that could rival Daffy Duck's," I said.
Hunter only grinned at me, "You think I'm sexy?" he questioned.
I rolled my eyes at the cocky look on his face, "Of course, that's what you'd gather from that," I grumbled and glared. "On a side note, that is not what I said. I said that you think you're sexy and therefore have an oversized ego from it," I explained.
Hunter chuckled, "Whatever you say sweetheart," he said stretching back against the railing. He was the epitome of confidence and right now he was really making my blood boil. I crossed my arms and silently fumed, glaring at his smug expression. His attitude was really beginning to annoy me and I wanted nothing more than to pinch him into the next century. Hunter noticed my glare and smirked, "Cute glare sweetheart, but it's going to take more than that to intimidate me," he teased.
Jackass.
I sighed and softened my features, but kept the slight pout on my face, I already knew my glare was as threatening as a puppy, but it would have been nice if it gave him a reaction other than amusement. I looked away from Hunter and back at the house, I probably should get going as it was beginning to get really late... well early depending on how you look at it... and I didn't really want to be out here with Hunter. He was beginning to be a little too charming and that probably wasn't too good for me.
"Ellie, if you don't stop pouting your lip like that I'm going to kiss you whether you like it or not, and trust me when I say you definitely will," Hunter threatened teasingly, I trained my shocked gaze back over to him and saw his eyes were focused on the slight protrusion of my bottom lip.
I groaned, "Will you give up on that? It's never going to happen," I exclaimed. I didn't want to kiss him, I will admit that I was attracted to him and though he was very charismatic, I didn't want anything to do with this lips. They needed to stay as far away from mine as possible.
"And will you stop calling me Ellie!" I grumbled as an afterthought.
Hunter laughed loudly, the sound resonating throughout the yard. "To be fair, you still haven't told me what your name is," he said and I wanted to smack the amusement right off his face. Nevertheless, I still began to blush- I had forgotten about that. Why hadn't I told him my name? I can be such an idiot sometimes.
I tried to be blasé and shrugged my shoulders, "I did tell you to guess," I reminded him. Hunter's lips quirked upwards into a grin and I really didn't like the look he was giving me, it was like he was channelling his inner Lord Voldemort.
"How about we make a deal," he proposed. I did my best to repress the shiver that was threatening to take hold of my body; he even sounded like an evil dark lord.
Well, I was screwed.
"Wipe that look off your face and I'll think about it," I snapped. Hunter chuckled and immediately his evil look turned into an expression that I was so familiar with and I was beginning to think he was born with; amusement. I grumbled at him and moved to fix the cream mittens my hands adorned in order for a distraction. I was attempting to tuck them into the sleeves of my jacket to reduce the amount of cold seeping in. Without looking up I already knew Hunter was probably loving the way I was struggling.
"Well get on with it," I grumbled. I was still avoiding eye contact as I focused on my hands. Hunter reached down and lightly smacked my hand away in order to help me. My protests died in my throat as he his fingers lightly brushed against the skin of my wrist and instead I mumbled a quiet and embarrassed thanks.
"Alright Princess, give me three tries and I bet I can guess what your name is," he proposed.
I gave him a suspicious look, "So what's the catch?" I questioned, there had to be more than just that. He said he wanted to make a deal so what would the stakes be?
Hunter tsked at me, "So impatient, let me finish and you'll find out," he said.
"If I guess your name in three tries, than I get to kiss you," he said.
I seriously should have seen that one coming but I had to give the guy some credit; he was a persistent little jackass.
"And if you guess all three wrong?" I asked.
Hunter smirked, "I have another deal for you," he said.
I frowned. "I really don't see how this benefits me at all," I said.
Hunter shrugged, "I never said that it would."
I guess that was true, so I did what I originally planned to do, "No deal."
"I thought you would say that, I guess I'll be calling you Ellie from now on," he taunted. I glared; I really hated it when he called me that. Just the way that he said it made my skin crawl in disgust. Ellie was the name my father used to call me, I used to love it, but a couple years ago I began to dislike it. The only person able to get away with it was my little cousins, my younger brother, and Audrey. Hunter continued to smirk at me so I begrudgingly thought about the pros and cons. Yes, I did make a mental list.
Pro; If he did guess right, I wouldn't be subjected to being called Ellie.
Con; I would have to kiss Hunter.
Pro; This other deal could work out in my favour.
Con; Both deals could blow up in my face.
Pro; His ego could be taken down a notch
Con; I could have to kiss Hunter... did I mention that already?
That was a definite no thank you!
I mean really, it was just a name- why was I getting so worked up about this?
So, by coming to that conclusion, I decided to humour him for a bit.
"What about this other deal," I said, "what's it all about?"
Hunter shrugged his shoulders with a secretive smile, "Depends on what you decide," he answered. Oh how I wanted to make that expression fall right off his features. He's annoying me and he knows it.
"How about you tell me the other deal and then I'll decide," I countered. I admit, I was beginning to get really curious about this other deal.
Hunter grinned and playfully zipped is lips; he looked incredibly cute (not that I would ever admit that out loud) and caused my lip to twitch upward for a moment.
I sighed, "Sorry, but the only way I would kiss you is if you were secretly... I don't know, Chris Pratt," I informed him. I loved Chris Pratt; he was definitely one of my celebrity crushes!
Hunter scoffed, "Please Princess, Chris Pratt, wishes he could look like this," he said, sending me a devilish smile.
I rolled my eyes and patted his chest in dismissal, "Right well, I'm going to go and find my best friend before she ends up doing something we'll both regret in the morning," I said, grumbling the last part.
Before I could leave though, Hunter lightly gripped my arm and tugged me back toward him until I was pinned against his chest. I looked upward towards his face and blushed at the close contact; what the hell did he think he was doing? I stayed in his arms another moment before Hunter sighed and let me go and I breathed in deeply, calming my nerves.
A smirk crept on his lips, "Alright then Ellie, have it your way, but I'll be seeing you," he said before leaving me standing on the deck alone. I breathed out deeply and groaned, why were boys so weird? Was there a reason to pick on a girl that really had no interest? Though I will admit that I was slightly curious about what his deals were.
But only a little.

"Ella bell! I missed you, where did you go?"
I sighed and shook my head at my best friend. How does she always get herself mixed up into these things? When I was sure I was calm enough to go inside, I had put my coat away and went to find my crazy ass best friend.
Currently, Audrey was situated in the middle of two boys (I don't even think they went to our school to be honest). I worried for her since one had a hand a little too high on her thigh and the other had an arm thrown around her shoulder.
"What are you doing Audrey?" I questioned cautiously. In her drunken stupor Audrey giggled like a mad woman.
"I'm hanging out with Brad and Jay, aren't they the nicest?" she said, continuing to giggle crazily.
I rolled my eyes, "You two out; she's not that easy," I said, pointing towards the door.
The two deperate boys groaned, "Come on babe, relax- you can join us if you want," one of the creeps invited.
I laughed sardonically, "Yeah right, I like myself to be STI free thanks," I retorted. I turned toward my friend, "Come on Audrey, we need to get going," I spoke to her.
Audrey pouted at me and crossed her arms, "But I don't wanna," she whined.
"Come on, it's time to go home," I persisted, "I'll buy you a frosty on the way home," I bribed.
Audrey sighed before jumping off the couch, "Fine, bye Chad! Bye May!" she shouted. Chad? May? ...I thought it was Brad and Jay. Oh well, who cares. I grinned at the putout and angry looks the two boys gave me.
"Bye boys," I exclaimed as I towed Audrey towards the jackets.
"Oh Ella bell, where were you? I went looking for you and saw you with Hunter! Did he," she giggled and looked around to make sure no one was listening, "enter the Ellie Bellie love tunnel?" she whispered, giggling some more.
I blushed deeply and reminded myself that she was drunk, that's why she was acting like a complete loon. However, I ignored her question and was glad that she was too drunk to actually remember she had asked me something. I somehow managed to get her jacket on, I had a little trouble with her mittens, but that's because she thought her fingers went missing...
Anyway, I grabbed the keys to her Honda and put my own jacket back on. Carefully, I led Audrey towards the car and all the while she was raving to me about some guy that was at the party. As I half heartedly listened, I sighed; I think I was slowly beginning to freeze. We were moving like turtles and it was quite cold outside. We had parked a couple ways down the street since we got here late and all the good spots were taken. Audrey stumbled and she almost took the two of us down.
"Oops! Sorry Ella!" she exclaimed loudly. I was kind of glad that it was so late into the evening/ morning, no one was here to witness my failure of bringing my intoxicated best friend to the car. "Elles," Audrey said, dragging out the 's' so much that she began to sound like a snake.
"Yes Audrey?" I answered, hoping she wouldn't say something about Hunter again.
"Imagine if the snow was hot! It could be like hot snow, and we could wear our bikinis and go tanning in the snow! Like a snow beach! You can get all them hotties with your bikini body," she exclaimed. I completely ignored the end of her spiel but this time I had to laugh along with her; hot snow- that's a new one, but it had a nice appeal to it.
"I'd like to see that."
I whipped my head around; careful to keep Audrey balanced, and groaned, "What are you doing here?" I grumbled.
Hunter shrugged, "I was leaving when I saw the two of you and wanted to see if you needed any help," he said. I wasn't sure if he was acting but he looked pretty damn sincere about it. Nevertheless, I shook my head and opened my mouth to tell him I was fine on my own but Audrey beat me to it.
"OH IT'S HUNTER! HI HUNTER!" she shouted, waving frantically at him.
Hunter grinned at Audrey and waved, "Hey," he greeted in amusement.
"COME HERE, I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!" she exclaimed, loudly, and might I add right in my ear.
Hunter smirked at me before complying too my best friend's wishes, "What's up Audrey?" he questioned as he stood in front of her.
Audrey giggled as she moved (bringing me along with her) toward his ear, "I need to ask you a question," she whispered to him, not a very good whisper though. I think she didn't want me to hear since she was leaning away from my hold and giving me a suspicious look.
"Elles won't tell me, but I know you will!" she said excitedly before gasping and shaking her head "But you have to be quiet, Elle would be so mad if she heard!" Audrey whispered again.
I gave her a flat look and Hunter gave me a wink, "I won't tell a soul," he promised.
Audrey giggled, "I saw you and Elles outside today! So, I need to... I need to know- did you get to ride in the Ellie love tunnel?" she asked.
I balked and felt myself heat up like dark hair in the sun.
If you touched me, you might get a third degree burn.
I can't go anywhere with intoxicated Audrey.
My embarrassment only got worse as Hunter let out a loud laugh and it echoed along the empty road. He was laughing so hard that I swear I could see tears in his eyes. Unconsciously my lip pouted out and I went to hit his arm.
"It's not that funny!" I snapped as he doubled over and continued to laugh hysterically like a hyena. Too embarrassed to form any words, I turned on my heel and quickly walked Audrey the rest of the way to the car.
"Hey Elles, you look like a tomato, I could just eat you up!" Audrey exclaimed, giggling at her own comparison. I sighed and blew some hair out of my face, willing for the redness to die down. In an attempt to distract her, I went into Audrey's pocket and grabbed her phone. I pulled a glove off in order to unlock it and looked through her games until I found the one I was looking for; candy crush.
"Here Audrey, play this for now alright?" I said as I handed her the phone. Audrey giggled like a little girl and took the phone from me, instantly fascinated by her favourite game.
"I love this game! Thank you Elle!" she exclaimed before focusing wholly on her game. I giggled and carefully pushed Audrey the rest of the way in the car before closing the door and sighing.
Sometimes Audrey was a bit of a handful.
I heard Hunter continue to chuckle behind me and I whipped around to glare at him.
"Well," I began, "As lovely as this embarrassment has been, I need to get this pain in the ass home before she drives me into insanity," I exclaimed. Hunter looked too amused for my taste, so without another word I turned toward the car so I could get in and start it.
"Hey Ellie, wait a second," Hunter called.
My eye twitched lightly at the name as I paused. I started the car before I turned around, "Yeah?" I questioned.
Hunter beckoned me closer, I checked that Audrey was still alive and after I laughed for a moment as I watched her take silly drunken selfies of herself, with a hesitant step I complied. He didn't say anything and just stared at me for a moment; indecision in his eyes.
I crossed my frozen arms, the cold was beginning to get to me and I let out an annoyed breath, "Well if all you're going to do is stare then I'm leaving," I grumbled. I turned around to get back into the car where Audrey was now sleeping. I blinked. Wow. She crashed faster than I expected.
Then, all of a sudden, I was pressed firmly against the car with my back against the metal and my front pressed against a surprisingly soft jacket. Hunter's face was inches from mine with his hand pressed firmly against the roof of the car. He towered over me with his tall 6ft something height and me at my 5'4 stature. I was so glad that Audrey was sleeping and not witnessing this.
I gulped, "What the hell do you think you're doing?" I exclaimed; though my words were harsh my body was working against me. I was frozen in my spot, I couldn't move my head or hands away and my legs refused to kick him in his pride and joy or anywhere really. Hunter gave me a genuine smile, and immediately I felt myself melt into his embrace, he used his other hand to slip behind the back of my neck and locked me in place. I was too shocked to say anything more and that was when Hunter took the opportunity to strike.
But as he leaned towards me he did the complete opposite of what I was thinking.
His breath hit the side of my face as he moved towards my ear. "See you on Monday, milady. Drive safe," he whispered, my eyes widened and I froze as he leaned away and took my hand in his. Hunter gave me another grin and my breath caught in my throat. Who knew he could be so charming?
Hunter slowly brought my gloveless hand toward his mouth and pressed a light kiss on the back of it. When Hunter released me, he sent me one more charming smile before turning around and walking back down the road to where I presumed his car was. I watched with slightly wide eyes as he disappeared down the street. When I was sure Hunter was out of my vision, I groaned and pressed my head against the side of the car.
What the hell did I get myself into?
