It's been a few months since you stopped talking to Zach. You would pass by him in the hallway but you would never make any type of eye contact, or even try to talk to him. You would still hang out with his friends since they never did anything to you but when he would show up you would leave. You were in the middle of a conversation with Scott when you saw Zach walking towards you two.

"Anyway, I'll text you later, bye Scott." You say hugging him and walking past Zach over to your friends, not even bothering to look at him.

"Hey, Scott. I didn't know you talked to (Y/N), anyways you still coming over to hang out this weekend?" Zach says leaning against Scott's locker.

"Sorry dude. I already have plans this weekend." Scott says smiling.

'Oh, I know that smile, who's the girl, huh?" Zach says nudging Scott's arm.

"Oh um..." Scott stuttered not know what to say.

"Wait," Zach says before pointing over in your direction. "Hmm?" He says tilting his head.

"Yeah... I mean she said you guys were never a thing so I thought that it was okay." Scott says in defense.

Zach just stood there. You two always made a joke about dating one day but you were telling the truth, you guys did never actually date. He just stood there staring at your direction. You caught glances at his every few moments. You quickly became annoyed.

"Zach hasn't your mother told you it rude to stare." You say more of a statement than a question. You can see Zach go into a mild panic before returning his gaze to Scott.

"Nah it's cool, have fun. She's a sweet girl, don't hurt her or I'll hurt you." Zach says before walking away.

TIME SKIP CAUSE I RAN OUT OF FILLERS <3

You heard a horn honk outside of your house. You peeked out the window and saw Scott sitting on the hood of his car.

"Mom! Scott's here!"

"Okay, have fun! You BETTER be back by 10 young ladies." You sigh before responding.

"Okay, bye mommy." You say before grabbing your bag and heading out the door.

"Hey (Y/N)." Scott said sliding down off his car and extending his arms for a hug.

"Hi, Scott." You said tiptoeing so you could wrap your arms around his neck.

"Ready to go?"

"Hell yeah!" You say excited to go to Dave and Buster's.

He smiles at you and opens the passenger side door allowing you to climb into the car. He carefully closes your door and walks over to the driver side before starting the car. The car ride was long and semi-silent. Every now and then he would ask you questions about what you like, and just nonsense, until.

"Hey, what exactly happened to you and Zach? According to everyone else, you guys were almost like a couple. You hung out all the time, had mini dates, and acted like an actual couple."

"I don't really know. Yes, we were the greatest of friends but that all changed." You say tears brimming your eyes.

"Hey don't cry. Shit, I didn't mean to make you upset."

"No, don't worry, I'm fine. We told each other literally everything, or so I thought. To make a super long story short, he, at least in my eyes, wanted me to be there whenever he needed me, but when it came to me he was nowhere to be found until I finally found him. He would've rather been out with a hookup then with his friend who was at their lowest." You say opening up to Scott.

You look out the window until you feel a hand on your knee. You look over to Scott, his eyes still focused on the road ahead.

"Listen, if you ever, EVER feel like that again you have my number you better call me. I'll drop everything and come see you." He says rubbing your knee with his thumb.

"Aww, thanks Scott." You say holding onto his hand.

Once you guys had arrived at D and B (sorry I'm lazy xD) you two went inside and up to the register. He paid for the both of you even though you offered to pay your half.

"Please (Y/N) you really think I'm gonna let you pay? Hell no." He said handing the cashier his credit card.

Once you two got your game cards Scott grabbed your hand and walked around with you.

"Hey, they have a 'beer pong' game wanna play?" You asked Scott as you point to the game. (which they actually have and my friend and I had an awesome time, totally recommend it if you can find it)

"Yeah, I'm gonna beat your butt."

"Oh mhmm sure you will." You say giggling as you walk over. You guys played about four games and were currently on the fifth one, the score was two to two, but Scott was currently winning this game.

"Ha, told you I'd win (Y/N)," Scott said nudging your arm. You smirk before turning to him.

"Are you sure, because due to some last minute calculations, I have one cup left and you have four." You say looking at him before tossing the ball into the cup to win the game. "Haha!! I WIN!!" You say jumping up and down. Scott laughs at your childish outburst.

"What? What's so funny?" You ask looking at him.

"You! You're freaking adorable, jumping up and down acting like a child." Scott said continuing to laugh at you. You stopped and jokingly crosses your arms across your chest.

"Haha, come on let's go play some more games." Scott said extending his hand for you. You grabbed it and walked around the arcade fingers laced together.

"Scott?" Someone asks from being you two.

"Huh? Oh, hey Zach." Scott answers letting go of my hand to give Zach a hug before coming back to intertwine our fingers again.

"Hey (Y/N)." Zach says slightly waving.

"Hi Zach." You say waving back. "Could you excuse me?" You say walking away making your way towards the bathroom. You sat in there for about ten or so minutes before walking over hoping Zach would've left, but low-and-behold he didn't.

"Hey welcome back." Scott said wrapping his arm around your waist. You smile at him and lay you head on his shoulder.

"Hey Scott, could I, um... like steal her for like five seconds?" Zach says pointing towards you.

"Um sure. I'll wait for you over there." Scott said pointing to the bathrooms. You nod your head and walk with Zach to the food court.

"Listen (Y/N) I'm really really sorry. I know you don't wanna hear it but I truly am sorry. I didn't think you would've freaked out the way you did. Please (Y/N) just give me one more chance." Zach says grabbing your hands.

"Zach, I love you, I really do but just not the way I used to," You say as you look back at Scott scrolling through his phone. "Look you really hurt me, my best friend abandoned me like all of our years of friendship meant nothing, that really hurt me mentally. I couldn't trust anyone after you, I always thought they were just gonna leave. Then Scott came along and I learned to trust him, and I'm happy now. We can be friends but we're never gonna be more than friends." You stated truthfully.

"If bringing you back and keeping you here means we're only gonna be friends, then I'm gonna have to be fine with that," Zach says extending his arms for a hug. You roll my eyes before hugging him. "Okay I'm sorry for intruding, go have fun Scott's a nice guy."

"Thanks, dad." You laugh before walking back over to Scott.

"Please tell me I'm not being replaced am I?" Scott asks nervously.

"Gosh no. Zach apologized and we're only friends. There's no competition between you and him." You whisper.

"Well good. He's a good man, but you're mine." Scott joked. "Wanna go get some food?"

"Oh gosh yeah. I heard their foods really good." You said excited to taste their food.

You two sat down in a booth and waited to be served. You shared appetizers, an entree, and a desert. After you finished you played a few more games before Scott took you home. The drive home was less awkward than the drive up there. He asked you questions about your night and made sure you had a fun time. You pulled up to your house and he got out and helped you out of his car, and walked you up to the porch.

"Thanks for coming out with me (Y/N) I really appreciate it." Scott said nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"No problem I had a lot of fun tonight." You giggled.

"Really? So would you like to do this again?" Scott asked excited.

"Oh of course!" You said smiling wide. 

Scott took your hands in his and pecked your cheek after you felt the blood immediately pump into your face turning your cheeks a rose color. You smiled and looked at your feet.

"Jeez you're so freaking adorable!" Scott said cupping your cheeks.

You smiled and looked up into his eyes. He looked back down at you starring into your eyes as well. You noticed he was leaning in and you did the same and soon your lips connected however, the kiss was cut short when you heard your front door being unlocked and opened.

"Ah, (Y/N) you're home."

"Yeah sorry mom I think I forgot my keys."

"No no worries." She said looking back and forth between you and Scott.

"Oh sorry mom this is Scott, Scott this is my mom." You say introducing them to each other.

"Hello Mrs.(Y/L/N)." Scott says extending his hand for your mother to take.

"Hello sweetheart," Your mom says shaking his hand. "Boy was my daughter right, you are indeed very very cute."

"AHHH JEEZ MOM REALLY?!" You exclaim embarrassed.

"Oh hush (Y/N)," Your mom replied to you. "Anyways I'll let you two finish." Your mom says stepping back inside.

"Welp, that was embarrassing." You laugh nervously.

"I thought it was cute, you think I'm very very cute." Scott says mimicking your mom.

"Noooo Scott stop please!" You laugh.

"Aww it's okay, I think you're very very VERY cute." He says wiggling his eyebrows.

"Oh okay then, I guess I'll see you Monday?" You ask.

"Of course. Goodnight (Y/N)." Scott says kissing your cheek.

"Goodnight Scott." You watch him walk to his car and drive away.

You step inside and take your shoes off carrying them to your room. You toss your shoes in the corner and make your way to your desk pulling out a textbook trying to finish the last sliver of homework you had left. Once finished you close the book and put it back into your bag when you hear a knock on your door.

"Come in." You say walking to your bed and plopping down on it.

"Hi honey. I just wanted to say that Scotts a cute boy. I hope he makes you happy." Your mom says leaning against the doorframe.

"He does. He's a really nice, and funny guy." You say smiling.

"Okay good. Goodnight hon." Your mom says walking towards you kissing your head.

"Goodnight mom." You say before changing and going to sleep.
