You were sitting in your bedroom listening to music when your phone flashed causing you to pick it up. You pressed the home button and the screen lit up showing you have a message from your friend Alex, you unlock your phone and read the text message.

A: Hey, I'm bored

Y/N: Ugh I'm on my way

A: Yayyy thx

You shake your head and smile as you get up and stretch before throwing on a pair of sneakers. You grab your bag, and keys before walking out of your house and to your pickup. You blast music probably a little too loud on the way to Alex's house. You pull into the driveway and get out of your truck. You text Alex that your here.

Y/N: Hey ugly I'm outside

Alex: Pff, you're the ugly one come inside, my room as usual

You chuckle and enter his house. You walk through the living room before you hear someone.

"Hello? Alex?"

"Oh I'm sorry Mr.Standall um Alex said it was okay if I came in." You say nervously.

"Oh no (Y/N) don't worry. How've you been?"

"Eh fine I guess. Nothing new." You say in response.

"Ah okay. Well Alex is in his room as usual, I'll let you go before he has some nervous breakdown that you're not within two inches of him." Alex's dad jokes. You chuckle before making your way towards Alex's bedroom.

"Hey fam." You say walking in and sitting on his bed with him.

"Hey ugly." He says chuckling.

"So whats up? You said you were bored."

"Yeah, I've played every video game about a million times and they get boring, so I'm just kinda sitting here."

"Ah okay, um movie?"

"Nah. Maybe a drive?" Alex says looking at you with hope in his eyes.

"Ugh get in the car." You say getting up. You hand him his jacket and you two walk out of the house.

"Jeez I miss this baby." He says stroking the hood of your pickup.

"Hey stop stroking my baby." You say pointing at him jokingly. He gets in and closes the door as you walk around to the drivers side and get in starting the truck. "And we're off." You say pulling away from his house.

You guys go for a pretty long drive around town, as you were driving your stomach started to growl.

"Hey I'm hungry. Food stop?" You say quickly glancing over at him.

"Oh hell yeah." You nod your head before driving to a deli. You two get out and walk inside the store. "Hey if I tell you what I want can you order it? I'll give you money, but my fatass wants some chips."

"Sure, but I want a coke." Alex says leaning over.

"Mkay." You say pulling a twenty out and handing it to him as you tell him what sandwich you want.

You walk through the aisles taking your time making your way to the chips. You step back as you look over the large selection of chips in front of you. You put a hand underneath your chin looking and trying to decide what you wanted. You reached for one bag before putting it back and reaching for another one. You pick up that other bag before looking at it for a few seconds before placing it back on the shelf. You repeated to pick up bags of chips, and place them back down on the shelf. You reach for yet another bag before you hear someone from behind you.

"(Y/N) I swear to everything that bag you're picking up better be the bag you're getting." You turn around to see Alex standing behind you with the bag of sandwiches. 

"Jesus! How long have you been there?" You asked.

"Long enough you've picked up like four bags already."

"I cant dec-" You were cut off by Alex moving past you and grabbing two bags of chips.

"Here, now lets get my coke and go." Alex says grabbing your hand and taking you to the checkout. You grab a bottle of coke and place it along with the chips on the conveyer belt. You pay for everything and walk to your truck. You and Alex hop in before driving to a cliff. You get out and grab the blanket out of the backseat and toss the blanket on the bed of your pickup. You take the bags from Alex and toss them in the back as well.

"Can you help?" You ask Alex.

"Jeez you own a pickup but can't get into it?"

"Shut up and help me." Alex rolls his eyes smiling before giving you a boost onto the bed of the truck.

 Alex pulls himself up and helps you spread out the blanket before you two sit down and open the bags. You two eat your sandwiches and talk about school, and nothing really important. You bust open the bag of chips and feed some to him. Once you guys finish you two just lay down in the bed and look up at the stars.

"Wow, the moon looks beautiful tonight."You say laying your head against Alex's arm.

"Yeah it really does, the entire sky looks beautiful." Alex says looking down at you. You look back up at him and smile.

"The sky always looks beautiful." You say smiling. You notice Alex leaning in before you pull back. "Alex I want to but, you're my best friend. I don't wanna ruin that." You whisper knowing its gonna hurt him.

"Oh okay sorry I thought- never mind, can you bring me home?"

"Are you sure? We could stay out longer if you want too." You ask.

"No I just wanna go home." Alex says getting out and heading towards the passenger side and getting in.

You sigh before cleaning all the bags up and rolling the blanket up, hopping out of the back and tossing the blanket into the backseat. You get into the driver seat and start the truck. The ride to Alex's house was pretty awkward. Neither of you talked or said anything, the radio wasn't even on. You pulled up to Alex's house and before you said anything Alex got out and shut the door. You sat in front of his house for a few moments before driving off. The weekend came and went and before you noticed it was Monday morning already. You haven't heard one thing from Alex at all, not even a text. You walk into school and usually he's waiting by your locker but he wasn't there. You text him asking where he was, and as the day went on you never got a response, now thinking about it he never even read it. The lunch bell rang and you went up to Jessica.

"Hey Jessica, I know we don't talk or anything but have you seen Alex?"

"Oh no sorry (Y/N) I haven't seen him all day actually." Jess said honestly.

"Dang, okay thanks anyway." You say walking away. 

You pull out your phone and call Alex about a million times but he never answered. Even though you still had more classes after lunch you decided to skip the rest of them and head over to Alex's house quickly.
