Chapter Five
°°°°°°°°°°°°
Anxiety didn't know what caused him to get up so late at night, but he just...had to. A part of him was saying go talk to Roman, yet the other didn't want to hear a word about it.
He went against his own judgement and decided that he wouldn't get any sleep unless he tried to make some sort of amends, so he got up, and opened the door.
For some reason, Princey's red door seemed to cause flutters form in his stomach. He couldn't tell if it were nervousness, or something else. How could one person make him feel so many different ways, especially all at once?
He sighed, walking closer to the door. He lifted his fist, getting ready to knock, but he didn't need to as it was already opening before him.
Roman stood before him, no shirt on and white pajama pants below his v-line. Anxiety swallowed, and looked anywhere but in front of him.
Princey smirked, crossing his arms and leaning against the door frame. "Although you being, probably terrible for Thomas, you could fool me with that cute look of yours."
Anxiety sat in shock, was this man riding the bipolar express train? His personalities switched from right to left constantly, and he couldn't understand it. "You were just yelling at me a few hours ago...and now you're attempting to flirt?"
Roman scoffed, annoyance clearly painted over him causing Anxiety to flinch. "I'm allowed to flirt with who I like, even people I hate such as yourself. Also, 'attempting'? I can flirt insanely well."
Anxiety couldn't help but to bury himself in his hoodie, for some reason he wanted to make a snarky remark back, but he couldn't bring himself to do so, as all he could think about was the fact that he said he hated him. Hated....did he really not enjoy him that much? It's not like he was trying to upset Thomas, he didn't even know he would impact him that greatly.
"Anxiety...are you crying?"
The younger looked up, seeing as Roman was before him, holding onto his face and wiping away his tears. It didn't last for long however, as he quickly realized what he was doing and pulled back.
Anxiety bit his lip and looked up, "Princey...?"
Roman looked down, huffing out deeply. He felt terrible about what he was going to say, as he knew it was selfish of him to do so. "I get you're Anxiety and it's your job, but stay away from us."
With that, he closed the door on Anxiety. He second guessed his thinking, and still came up with the same answer. He...was too intrigued with Anxiety. He knew that if he was around him more...he wouldn't be able to control himself...he would....
No. That's not happening. He took another deep breath, sliding down his bedroom door.
Princey spoke, loudly this time, knowing Anxiety was still behind his door. "I'm sorry Anxiety...but you aren't good for me or Thomas."
On the other side, Anxiety stood, more tears streaming down his face at the words. He had been, well, all alone before this. He never had people to live with, or to worry about. All he could do was think about how he was...hated here.
"Maybe... you're right Princey. I won't burden you all anymore."
