SPOILERS FOR THE HAIKYUU MANGA!!

AT 11:11 PM, IWAIZUMI HAJIME RECEIVES A MESSAGE JUST AS HE IS ABOUT TO GO TO SLEEP. 

Iwaizumi cannot lie. He puts on a brave face, but he misses home. Here in California, it was all heat and the sun and an excruciating amount of college work. Back home in Miyagi, it was all about the mountains and the cool fresh air and the empty roads to be jogged on early in the morning. He really missed it all. But he was going to be back at home soon. One more year and he would finally return. Four years of being in California and being away from his family and friends (though one of them was pretty close by; just in the next continent)...he was glad he was finally getting to do what he wanted.

But then, one day, out of nowhere, a text pops up on his phone. And judging by the nature, it was not intentioned for him. He hasn't seen or spoken to Nohara Yuki since graduation; they had completely lost touch. The suddenness of the text surprises him; but reading through her words, he really relates to them. 

AT 11:11 AM, NOHARA YUKI RECEIVES AN ANSWER TO HER ACCIDENTAL TEXT.

These days, Yuki feels tired all the time. Whoever said that you have more free time in college was wrong. And deserved to be punched in the face.  It's not that she regrets the choice of taking sports medicine as her course of study; her love for volleyball certainly helps. It's just that there is always a lot to do; from one assignment to another; from one test to another. Even on the weekends, she doesn't find time to rest.

She knows though; she knows very well that she is slowly inching towards complete and major burnout. But Yuki can't seem to stop herself.

Not until a text message from an old senior from high school pops up in her phone.

Yuki finds herself reconnecting with Iwaizumi, bonding over the fact that they are facing the same thing, just in two different countries. Eventually it becomes a habit for them to talk; whether through facetime or a phone call or a random text message talking about their day.

It is the first facetime call that curses Iwaizumi's heart. Of course, his luck is so poor that the moment he sees Yuki's face, he can feel that silly old crush returning.

But this time, things are not one-sided. The two just haven't realized it yet.

This fic is part of my Haikyuu fic series titled 'Eternal Connections', where each story is connected in very little but important ways. 11:11 can be read as a direct sequel to my Oikawa fic, titled Fault Lines.

I never thought I'd end up writing another haikyuu fic (let alone a whole ass fic series) , but here we are. I also blame JustSav for this, but then again, I don't mind it at all. I do have a whole lot of fics planned including a Kita fic, a Kuroo fic, an Atsumu fic and a new addition, which is a fic for Sakusa. As of right now, the fics will be posted in the aforementioned order (lol i sound so formal), so the next fic to be posted after this one will be my Kita fic.

But, moving on, I'm super excited to share this fic with you all. It's going to be much shorter, compared to my Oikawa fic and will be written as a social media fic, with elements of real life. I've always wanted to write a fic like that and I'm super excited for this! <3

Fair warning though; this contains spoilers for the Haikyuu manga as well as my Oikawa fic; but I'll be tagging them so you don't have to worry about getting spoiled too much.
