Doctor POV

"Do you even know how to fly that thing?" (y/n) asked as we stepped out of the TARDIS.

"Of course!" I replied. "I've been flying the TARDIS for hundreds of years!"

"Yet it seems like you're a teenager learning to drive."

"Oh, like you could drive it better!"

"Who knows. Maybe I could." I stared at her for a moment. "So, are we going or what? I thought we had a group of robots to stop."

"Right. Follow me!"

We ran down the halls of the large company. (y/n) was leading the way, which confused me slightly.

"Do you have any idea where you're going?" I asked her.

"Yes," she replied. "I've been here for a tour a few times. Plus an internship, I believe. Now come on. The workshop is right down this hall."

We turned down the hallway (y/n) had indicated, slowing down in case of Cybermen. The hallway continued on but was divided by another hallway. (y/n) motioned that that was the hall we needed to go down. I moved in front of (y/n) to peak around the corner. Sure enough, there were four Cybermen guarding the door.

"There's four of them," I told her quietly. "We need a diversion."

"I might have an idea. Do you have anything small?"

I nodded and quickly searched through my pockets. I handed her a couple marbles. She nodded to me and quickly rolled them down the hall opposite of us, creating a lot of noise. I looked back at her but she motioned for me to stay quiet. We listened as the Cybermen walked away from the door. The two of us froze as we saw them turn down the hall completely unaware of our presence. They followed after the marbles, which were still rolling down the hall.

"Come on," (y/n) whispered.

We turned down the hall and ran towards the door. Using my sonic screwdriver, I opened the door. I ushered (y/n) into the room before sealing the door behind us. I turned around and froze. Before us were dozens of Cybermen. Luckily for us, they were all offline.

"Where are the controls?" I whispered to (y/n).

"This way." She grabbed my hand and slowly led me towards the controls. Looking over them quickly, I began to press buttons and flip switches. "Do you know what you're doing?"

"Kinda?" I replied, hitting another switch. "I'll figure it out as I go."

"That's comforting," (y/n) muttered.

Hitting another button, a buzzer sounded. (y/n) shot me a look as if to say 'what did you just do?' I shrugged and looked up. The Cybermen were slowly coming online.

"Whatever you plan on doing, Doctor, I hope you're planning on doing it soon."

"I'm working on it, (y/n). Hold your horses."

The sound of metal moving caused me to look up. A few Cybermen were looking at us. I gave a wave with a wide smile on my face.

"'Ello!" I said in a cheery voice. "How are we today?"

"Doctor, you're not helping," (y/n) said.

"WHO ARE YOU?" one robot asked. "EXPLAIN YOUR PURPOSE."

"We found a glitch in the programing," I said to them. "The boss sent us down here to fix it up. Just don't mind us, we'll be done shortly and be on our way!"

"WE ARE BUILT WITHOUT GLITCHES AND FAILURES," the robot responded. "YOUR PURPOSE HERE IS FALSE."

"Well it was a good try."

"YOU SHALL BE DELETED!"

"DELETE!" a chorus of metallic voices replied in unison.

"Doctor," (y/n) said, slight worry in her voice.

"Almost, almost. Just need a little more time."

"Consider it done." I looked up at (y/n) to see her hit a switch on the wall. She looked at me with a small smile. "Force field. It'll keep them at bay for now. But I suggest hurrying before they blast it down."

Just as she finished, a few Cybermen fired at us, their blasts hitting the force field.

"Right," I said, moving faster with the controls.

After hitting multiple more buttons, alarms began going off. With a cheer, I grabbed (y/n)'s hand.

"That's our cue to go," I said, running for the exit.
