"oh, nice to meet you again! it's been like...4 years eh?"

i looked at her in awe. never thought i'd see her ever again. she's been in my mind ever since i've met her. i must've spaced out and she caught me staring at her.

"d-do you remember me?"

she talked to me with her bright and beautiful smile that makes me weak on my knees everytime.

"y-yeah of course i do, it really has been a long time eh? are those boys still bullying you?"

"hahah you do remember. but oh silly, no!"

she pushed my shoulders playfully, making the heat rise to my cheek , making me blush lightly. there was a strong connection, it's like, we've known each other for a long time now. but it's actually only been less than 24 hours.

after the time that i saw her in the park. she just, disappeared in the neighborhood. i never saw her at the park again. she stopped attending school for almost 3 months.

no one knew why and no one asked. i wanted to, but everytime i had the chance, i guess you can say that i wasn't a 'man' enough. so after a few months of trying, i finally gave up.

but now was my only chance.

"um. may i ask why did you stop attending school so suddenly..?"

then in a flash, her bright smile becomes a sad frown.

i panicked to see her like that. i hesitated to console her.

"u-um.if you don't want to talk about it i won't force you i'm so sorry!"

"n-no! it's been years now...i should spill it to someone."

i was surprised to hear that and i listened to her whole-heartedly.

"u-um. my aunt...yeah my aunt from jamaica passed away and we need to go attend her funeral."

"for 3 months?"

"yeah, my family's economic state was really horrible and we spent a good 2 months to earn money for the plane ticket.."

"ooh...that made sen-" I couldn't finish my sentence before the first period bell rang.

"oh no, i'm almost late. see you later!" she screamed and ran off again.

i can see that you're wearing longer sleeves. i can see the pain your hiding. I can see visible scars and bruises on your fair white skin. what happened soomin..?
