As they were approaching their house, Dawkins passionately announced, "DJ, you were right; a day out was just what I needed. I can't recall another time I've ever felt so invigorated!"

  "Happy to hear that," DJ responded, still pretty shook up from the whole ordeal, "at least one of us had a good time."

  Once they both got up to the door, it wasn't too long before they were both greeted by their protective eldest brother, who immediately cried out, "Where the Dog have you two been?!"

  "Well," DJ began to explain, "it's been a really eventful day, and we're both pretty worn out."

  "Speak for yourself," Dawkins confidently refuted his musical brother's statement, "I feel as though I could build a spaceship to several other galaxies!"

  "Well, okay," Dylan chuckled, "you'd better come inside; it's getting dark." As they both complied and entered their large, love-packed home, Dylan whisperingly added, "Be sure you both wash up before D-I-N-N-E-R."

  With that, both brothers made their way to the bathroom, and once they both got there, DJ sighed in relief and said, "Dog, that was close. That whole Bludspill mess is definitely something that Dylan does NOT need to know about."

  "Lest he forbid us from ever again going out on our own," Dawkins added in concurment, "or worse, suffer another heart attack."

  "Word," DJ nodded before turning over to the bathroom sink, "now, we really should wash up for chowin' down."

  Both boys climbed their way up to the sink and started getting their paws clean (DJ had to pull Dawkins' paws back in three times because the latter kept trying to rush), then they dried off and went to have dinner with the rest of their family (with neither of them saying a word). Later on, the pups were watching some cartoons on the telly with their parents, when a sudden news flash came up: 

  "We interrupt this program to bring you this important news bulletin!"

  "Aaaww!" several of the pups whined out in disappointment, before becoming frightened as a picture of Bludspill appeared on the screen. "Vicious canine Bludspill had escaped today, but thankfully, he was quickly brought back to justice," the news reporter continued before showing a picture of Dawkins and DJ at the crime scene from earlier, "thanks to these two brave pups."

  This elicited quite the surprise from both pups, but even more shock from the rest of their family. Especially Dylan. Hearing the sudden news that both younger brothers had just encountered an escaped murderer that day caused his chest to start hurting and his panic-struck heart to begin pounding rapidly. His breathing became heavy, and he started to cough. Upon seeing these symptoms arise from his eldest brother, Dawkins immediately removed the methyl molecule from his collar and held it up to his Dylan's chest. This released an electric shock, reviving the protective pup but doing nothing to soothe his panic... or the panic of all their other puppies.

  Understandably, Doug and Delilah were just as scared by this information (if not more so), with Doug flying into a tearful rage (and Dolly struggling to restrain him) and Delilah immediately turning over to DJ and asking, "Why didn't either of you tell us about this?!"

  "Because we didn't want Dylan having another heart attack," DJ attempted to explain over the his siblings' noisy frenzy.
