"Oooooh such a spinechilling story there."

"Hey it could happen." Dylan blurted out to which Charlie and Dolly laughed.

"Alright I have one more story and this is the most scariest of all."

"Oh bring it on!"

"You sure Dolly?"

"Uh yeah I can handle it."

"Alright then this story is called..."

_______________Trapped⁶⁴_______________
"Trapped 64?" Spike asked to which Charlie shushed him.

"It's a workable title... now where was I...oh yes!"

It was another sunny day as the Dalmatian Residence was in its daily routine thus time Charlie was up in his room looking through some boxes that he forgot to unpacked.

"Let's see what's in these boxes." He said to himself as he rummaged through the boxes suddenly he felt something plasticity. He quickly pulled it out and gasped at the sight.

Later
All the pups watched curiously as Charlie was plugging some stuff in to the back of the TV.

"What up fam..." Dollg entered but stopped seeing Charlie play around with the back of the TV, "Uh... whats going on?"

"Oh Dolly..." Charlie greeted with excitement before pulling himself out from behind the TV, "Your not gonna believe what I found!"

"I am a fan of surprises lay it on me."

"Check this put!" He held up a weird shaped box, it was gray with four plugs, with a button on the right and a switch on the left, in the center were small swinging hatches. Most of the pups when seeing this awed at it.

"Oh wow cool... wh-whatever that... is." Dolly commented with a confused look.

"Do you even know what this is?"

"Nnnnnnnnnnno?"

"It's the Nintendo⁶⁴ one of the biggest gaming consoles back in the nineties."

"Okay... so what makes this piece of plastic so cool?" Dolly asked.

"What's all the commotion?" Dylan asked as he entered the living.

"Dylan great timing look what I found!" He waving the console in front of Dylan who looked at with confusion.

"What... is that?"

"Oh don't tell me not you too!" Charlie groaned in disappointment.

"Charlie says it's a Nintendo⁶⁴."

"What... even is that?" Dylan asked to which Charlie sighed.

"Where's Dawkins, Dawkins!" Charlie called out to which Dawkins popped up.

"I'm here Charlie." He answered.

"Oh great kindly explain what the Nintendo⁶⁴ is to our confused pups?" Charlie asked, Dawkins pulled up his tablet and within a couple of swipes he found something.

"It says The Nintendo 64 (N64) is a home video game console developed by Nintendo. The successor to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, it was released on June 23, 1996, in Japan, on September 29, 1996, in North America, and March 1, 1997, in Europe and Australia. Development began in 1993 in partnership with Silicon Graphics, using the codename Project Reality, then a test model and arcade platform called Ultra 64. The final design was named after its 64-bit CPU, which aided in the console's 3D capabilities." Dawkins read off his tablet to which Dylan gave a confused look.

"I'm still confused."

"Maybe it's best if I show you what I'm talking about." Charlie said as he pulled a small gray cartridge and placed it into the console once starting it up the TV made a small buzzing noise before going silent with the Nintendo logo popping up. After a few hours of playing different games most of the pups got bored and walked off leaving Charlie to continue playing, "See that's how it's done." He said getting no reaction, "Guys?" He asked looking around noticing no one was around, "Oh... guess everyone left. Oh well more fun for me." He said as he stretched over and pulled the cartridge out and started rummaging through his box full of game, "Let's see which one, which one..." He said before finding a strange one in his collection, it had no sticker on the front the only thing that he had written in red was.

Do Not Play!

"Huh... I don't remember buying this..." He said as he inspected the cartridge seeing how it's kinda damaged. He then looked at his console and slowly moved the cartridge to the console about to put it in, "You know... this feels super shady..." He said as he looked at the cartridge again, "Well... you know what they say, give it the ol' royal try." He said as he slammed the cartridge into the slot and turned on the console, the usual screen with the Nintendo logo popping up but suddenly the screen went black, Charlie looked at this with confusion when a small bit of text popped up.

Look at the dot

"Look at the dot?" He asked as a small dot appeared on the screen, Charlie squinted at the screen when suddenly another circle appeared over the smaller circle, then another, then another until the whole screen filled up with a target like pattern, then the patterned started to changed colors. Faster and faster and faster the colors changed, Charlie's eyes widen as his vision started to brighten to where all he could see was white.

Charlie groaned as he sat up all he could  see was gray blocks everywhere along with a red flag on the tippy top of a mountain of blocks.

[W-what happened?] Charlie asked as he raised his hand only to see that his hands was blockly,
[What the Hell!?] He said as he looked around soon noticing a large TV screen showing Charlie in a hypnotic trance, [Hey it's me... wait why can't I hear myself?!] He asked as he then looked down to see a text box,
[Oh... that's right this was the only way I could speak besides making grunts.] He said as he paced back and forth suddenly the blocks underneath him started to form a face.

[You seem lost.] the face said.

[Thanks for pointing that out.]

[I can help you, you see your not the first victim to be trapped in this cartridge.]

[What you mean?] Charlie asked to which the face disappeared and reformed onto the wall.

[For years, thousands of players have been tapped in this game and all have failed.] The face explained.

[Oh kinda like Jumagi.] Charlie stated to which the face gave a confused look, [Look nevermind, what do I have to do to escape?] Charlie asked.

[The task is simple my friend you must climb the mountain of Doom.] The face revealed a holographic map (Well the best it could in 64 bits) of the large Volcano.

[Oh that looks like fun.]

[The road will be dangerous for you my friend but I guarantee that you will be fine.] The face said before disappearing then reappearing, [Oh I forgot to mention something.]

[Yeah what is it?]

[You only have three lives.]

[What you mean I only have three lives?] Charlie asked.

[If you cannot successfully gets the top of the mountain of Doom within three lives you will die and remain in the game forever.] The face explained.

[Oh great, thanks for telling me that now.]

[Hurry traveler you must hurry for darkness falls rather quickly here.] The face said before disappearing. Leaving Charlie by himself.

[Alright then...] Charlie clapped his hands preparing his journey, [Where should I start?] He asked when suddenly a building appeared next to him, [Oh how convenient a store.] He said as he entered the store, to which revealed a dark room, once he entered his vision blackened for only a minute as the scenery changed into the store, [Hey this is a nice store.] He said as the store keeper popped up from behind a counter.

[What will be friend? Rope, sword, bombs we have it as long as you have the money.]

[Wait I don't have money, at least I don't think so let me check.] Charlie said as he patted himself down only to find nothing, [Nope sorry I have no money.]

[Then get out don't waste my time we do not deal with freeloaders!] The shop keeper yelled getting the screen to turn black again, once the screen returned Charlie was shown back outside.

[Oh great now how am I gonna get these supplies?] Charlie said as he paced around suddenly the face appeared.

[Stuck?] The face asked getting Charlie to jumped.

[Uh yeah I'm... I'm stuck.] He answered.

[This is simple you see that grass over there?] He gestured over to a small patch of grass.

[Yeah?]

[Destroy it and rubies will fall out.]

[Oh kind of like a Zelda.] Charlie pointed out to which the face gave him a confused look, [Never mind but what can I use as a weapon?] He asked.

[Hmmmm... that stick over there seems like the perfect weapon.] The face said to which Charlie glanced over and sees a stick rotating and glowing.

[Hey that could work tha...] Before he could give thanks, the face already disappeared, [Thanks?] He said as he walked over to the stick, the stick then teleported into his hand suddenly, [Oh hey look at that, now I can get the rubies from the grass.] Charlie said as he walked over and swipped at the grass. As soon as the grass was hit it turned into a puff of smoke leaving small rubies behind, [Well that was easy.] He said as he walked over them automatically picking them up, [Now that you got to go back in the shop and...] Suddenly a giant clock revealed that night approached, [Oh no nightfall!] Charlie yelled as he hurried into the store.

Out of the Game
"Yo bro could you go to the store and get some more kibble?" Dolly appeared from around the corner waiting for Charlie to answer but he never did, "Charlie did you hear me?" She asked walking behind him and jumping onto the couch, "Helllllo." She called out waving her hands in front of him, but he was somewhat in a trance with his game, she looked back to the TV to see that the character he was playing as (who also looked very similar to him) was running away from two large creatures, "Uh hello Charlie are you in there?" She asked trying to get Charlies attention.

Back In the Game
"Hello Charlie are you in there?" Dolly's voice could be heard to which Charlie skidded to a halt, he looked up to see that Dolly was waving to him.

[Dolly I'm here, I'm right here!] Charlie called out but Dolly was facing away from him, [Dolly Turn Around!] He yelled waving his arms around.

Back in the Real World
Dolly was waving her paws in front of Charlie but still doesn't get his attention.

"Man your playing these games too much." She said before looked back at the console, "Now how do I shut this off?"

Back in the Game
[Oh no the game doesn't have saved features so she turns the game off then I'd be stuck here forever!] Charlie exclaimed, [Don't turn it off!] He yelled.

Back to the Real World
Dolly was looking for the power button when she finally founded it.

"Oh here it is." She said as she went to flip the switch.

"Dolly can you help me with rounding up the pups?!" Dylan's voice was heard getting Dolly to stop.

"Ugh, coming!" She said placing the console down and taken off.

Back in the Game
Charlie watched Dolly ran off and sighed in relief.

[Thank God...] He sigh when he was suddenly grabbed by one of the monsters. The moster held Charlie up and screeched in his face, but before the monster could eat him it looked up and noticed the sun was coming up. The monster screeched dropping Charlie on the ground and ran off, [Thanks sun... now off to the mountain.] He said as he hurried off to the mountain.

At the Base of Mount Doom
[So this is Mount Doom... yep... I just made a LotR reference.] Charlie stated as he looked up to see the active volcano, [Alright... then all I ahead to do is climb up...] Charlie stated before the face suddenly appeared below him.

[Oh I forgot to mention...] The face said.

[Jesus Fucking Christ!] Charlie yelped to which the face gave a displeased look, [You scared the shit out of me!] He said.

[My Apology but I forgot to mentioned something.] The face stated, [Once you get to the top you must defeat the mighty guardian that's guarding a secret treasure.]

[That would have been nice to know earlier.] Charlie said as he began to climb, the face watched as Charlie began his ascension to the top of the mountain. Halfway through Charlie stopped and looked through his inventory and noticed he had an unopened note from the beginning, [How come I never seen this before?] He asked as he read the note.

[DON'T TRUST THE FACE]

[Don't trust the face, what could that mean?] He asked himself as he simply shrugged and put the note back into his bag as he continued up the mountain. Finally he reached the top of the mountain where he was met lots... and lots of skeleton, all of them caring rope and other items that were exactly what Charlie was carrying, [What in the world?] Suddenly the face appeared again.

[You made it now you can destroy the beast from within and escape from the wrechted place.]

[You know your doing alot of following.] Charlie said to which the face looked away.

[Have I really?!]

[Yeah it's kinda creeping me out.]

[Oh that's not what you should be worried about... you should be worried about... THIS!] The face yelled as the ground that Charlie stood on collapsed but Charlie to quick and jumped out of the way.

[You bastard I had you right where I want you!]

[I knew you couldn't be trusted!] Charlie said as he looked around, [These were other players that you killed!]

[Took you long enough to figure out, but yes I'm the reason you and all these other players before you being here, you are my food, and just for that I will enjoy devouring your soul.]

[Good luck pal cause I'm gonna be hard to catch.]

[Well then let's raise the stakes.] The face said giving an evil grin, Charlie looked down at his health bar and noticed he only had one life.

[Hey wait a minute, I didn't die ever!]

[FOOL!] The face boomed in anger, [You were never supposed to leave!]

[Oh well... I just have to defeat you.] Charlie said but the face just laughed

[Good luck many have tried only to fail.]   The face said. Charlie wasted no time and charged at the face before delivering a dropkick. Unfortunately the face disappeared into the wall, reforming beside him, [Over here] the face teased to which Charlie when to throw a kick only for the face to disappear again.

[Come on this isn't fair.] Charlie said to which the face laughed.

[Never said this was supposed to be easy.] The face said with a chuckle, [Now it's my turn.] The face suddenly had parts of the walls pull out and careen towards Charlie smacking him in the stomach sending him flying across the room landing hard into the wall. Charlie shook off the damage and looked at his health bar only to see that his health has shrunk down to basically nothing.

[What the fuck!] He yelled out to which the Face laughed.

[One last hit, and your soul shall be mine.] The face said and was ready to give the final blow but a sudden light shined behind them. The face disappeared back into the wall before reappearing to get a better view of the situation, the light was coming from a tunnel that had appeared out of thin air along with ghost that guarded the entrance, these ghost didn't look like the normal ghost you find in any Nintendo⁶⁴ instead they were more glitchy and didn't seem to belong in the game.

[Hurry this way.]
[We'll protect you.] The ghost said to which Charlie began to run.

[No no no! I won't allow you to escape!] The face yelled as it did its magic causing latge spikes to rise up and close off the tunnel, [No one can help you!] The face cackled but suddenly more of these ghost started to appear, [W-what is this?] The face asked as it started to look concern, more and more ghosts started to appear around both Charlie and the face, [No... no No No stop!] The face cried out as the ghosts started to close in on it.

[This... is for all of us... who were lost in this world.] One of the ghost said in a whispered and eery message, the spikes that yhe face had grew started to loosened and finally dropped back into the rocky ground, [Now, this is your chance hurry while we have him distracted.]

[Thanks.] Charlie said as he ran to the tunnel.

[No, STOP! I WON'T LET YOU!!!] The face yelled and send a spike straight at Charlie back, but it was too late. Charlie managed to enter the tunnel which transformed into a portal, just missing the faces throwned spike, suddenly the entire games started to glitch out uncontrollably, [WHat HªV3 Y0U DoNƏ?!] The face screamed as everything went black.

Back In the Real World
Charlie suddenly was thrown back from the shock, once he blinked getting back his vision, he started looking around very confused.

"I'm... I'm back?!" He asked as he felt himself to see if all of him was still there, "I'm back!" He cheered throwing his fist up into the air, that is until he saw that Nintendo⁶⁴ was on fire, "Oh, shit!" He said as he jumped up and ran over to the fire extinguisher putting out the small fire.

"Why do I smell buring?" Dylan asked as he walked in along side Dolly.

"Oh hey you two!" Charlie smiled as he put out the fire covering the console in foam.

"What happened here?" Dolly asked jumping onto the couch.

"Oh this?" Charlie asked pointing to the large mountain of foam, "Looks like my Nintendo⁶⁴ couldn't handle the heat." He joked as Dylan scrapped off the foam revealing that the console was completely burned along with the unmarked game.

"Looks like it exploded from the inside." Dylan said as he picked up and inspected it, "I'm sorry that you console got ruined."

"Nah dude it's cool, it was old but it was nice to have some nostalgia." Charlie said as he took the console from Dylan, "Come on let's get outside." He said to which Dolly wagged her tail in excitement.

"Race you out there!" Dolly teased as she raced off followed by Dylan.

"Oh your so on!" He said running after her. Charlie simply chuckled as he went back behind the TV and unplugged the console and walked over to the trash can.

"Happy to help you guys." He said before tossing the console into the trash.

"Charlie come on bro!"

"I'm coming!" He answered as he ran out the door, unbeknownst to him the cartridge suddenly reformed itself as if nothing ever happened ready for its next victim to take possession of it.

End of Story
"Some say that cartridge still exists to this day waiting for its next unsuspecting victim to find and play." Charlie explained to which Summer laughed.

"Geez you sure know how to tell a story." She said.

"Oh come on weren't you a bit scared?"

"Pfft nah, not a one." She said with smile.

"Oh really?" He asked when suddenly a tree branch could be heard snapped, "What was that?"

"Oh that's probably some rodent."

"At this time of night?" Charlie asked as he shined his flash light over to the words, suddenly within seconds a large mount of dirt came flying over and landed onto the fire putting it out instantly.

"Uh... I don't think that's a rodent Summer." Dylan said to which Summer just rolled her eyes.

"Of course it is what would it be..." She was explaining but a large figure rosed up and roared at everyone, Summer quickly turned and immediately screamed along with Dylan.

"What is that?!" Spike asked to which Dolly hid behind him.

"I have no idea but I'll tell ya this, I'm not sticking around to find out!" Dolly said and immediately sped off.

"I'm right behind ya." Spike said running after Dollg followed by Dylan and Summer, Charlie looked on in fear when he shined his flashlight on the large creature only to find its made out of dark pieces of cloth and leaves.

"Did we scare them good, Charlie?"
"Yeah did we?" Two voices were heard as running out of the bushes were Dizzy and DeeDee.

"You guys did great!" Charlie laughed as the creature opened up reveling Dante, Triple D, and Da-Vinci.

"Man they should've sent their faces." Dante laughed as everyone hopped down.

"Did I do good Charlie?" Diesel asked popping out of the brushed to which Charlie gave the dirty pup a head scratch.

"Couldn't asked for a better timing you guys, Da-Vinci great job with the colors." Charlie commented to which Da-Vinci blushed.

"Oh it's... it's the least I can do." Da-Vinci chuckled while looking away hiding her blush.

"We totally scared them."
"Made them scaredy cats."
"Yeah scaredy cats." Triple D teased to which Charlie laughed.

"Come on everyone it's time for bed." He said stretching as he watched everyone run back, "Happy Halloween everyone." He said before walking back to the campsites as the full moon is showned before cutting to black.

Happy Halloween Everyone
