During all his time at Hogwarts, Harry just played nine Quidditch matches, due to detention, Basilisks, the hospital wing etc. But still, of the matches he did play, he lost just two, both due to circumstances beyond his control. Once, he fainted because of the dementors and the other time, he got knocked out by a Beater's bat (it's MacLaggen's fault).

It is said that the  Firebolt performs better than its competitor brooms on the market and J.K. Rowling confirmed that, saying it is due to its goblin-made ironwork which gives it better stability. This is also why not so many of them are made – goblins are prone to strikes and walkouts.
