its_not_a_moon I wrote a really messy version of PS' backstory
Here it is

PS was made as part of Pink Diamond's Court.
As soon as the war started, she and all the other spinels were sent off planet (cause you don't need graphic designers during a war)
PS found out about Pink's 'shattering' from a second hand source, and she was not on earth during the corruption thing.
PS was then transferred to Yellow Diamond's Court and was partnered with Lime Spinel. They did not get along at all, mostly cause LS is snobby.
PS and LS were sent to go to one of YD's colonies to go build spited with some bismuths. (the spinels are actually designing the spires and overseeing their construction, but whatever)
PS was put in charge of a batch of bismuths, including Goldie (another gemsona)
Construction of the spire continued smoothly until rebels attacked!
The rebels were led by Turquoise, a gem inspired by Rose Quartz's efforts, with goals of destroying the diamond authority and liberating all the pearls.
Anyways Turquoise and her gang (might give her a gang but she's probably just solo) were attacking the spire because they had heard there was going to be a rebel informant there
And turquoise saw PS and thought 'oh that must be our informant' and grabbed her.
So PS got dragged along to this rebel operation deal
When turquoise finds out that she grabbed the wrong gem she's all 'omg I'm so sorry what do I do now' and ps is all 'I don't know Uh but I hated my job anyways so I guess I'll join you'
And so they teamed up
PS and Turquoise went on many rebel missions together and mutually pined over each other for a long time
The end. I guess.
I'm planning on writing a comic of it, so that'll help it make more sense
