"Freed?" You played with his long, silky green hair.

"Yes?" His voice was full of concern even when you knew he was trying to read a book.

Sprawled across one of the tables in Magnolia's Grand Library, you played with Freed's hair as the man tried to read his book.

Normally, being in the library would have sprung you into reading every book in existence but seeing Freed after a long time, you decided this was probably the only way you would ever be able to touch his hair.

Something you'd wanted to do for a while now.

"How?" You asked, not even sure what you were saying as you fiddled with his hair in intense concentration.

"How what?"

"Just..." You let the strands of perfect hair pass through your fingers, "...How?"

You heard the man place his book down, not turning around to look at you.

"So..." You blinked when one strand of his hair almost touched your face, "...pretty..."

Freed sighed, "Thank you."

"Yeah, yeah," You stroked the green hair again, "So... like... how?"

Freed shifted in his chair earning an irritated cluck of your tongue.

With a small helpless smile, he slowly turned to face you.

You blinked at how close his face was to yours.

He didn't react at all even when your cheeks slowly turned pink with a blush.

"How what?"

"Ohhhh!!"

The two of you whirled around to see a few of your friends from the guild.

Levy's jaw had dropped.

Lucy's eyebrows had risen straight into her bangs.

Mirajane's lips were pursed into an amused smile.

Natsu only blinked, "Hey, guys!! We didn't know you'd be here."

You facepalmed.

Well, this was going to be pleasant.
