Leo the Lion.

You were too late.

On a mission, in the middle of a fight, your magic energy was almost completely drained from your body and multiple scratches  criss-crossed all across your arms and legs.

The blow from the large creature you were supposed to subdue never hit you.

You opened your closed eyes to see a celestial spirit battle the beast away from you.

You were busy staring at the man in the suit even when Lucy ran upto you to help you up.

"Oh," You said when the blond girl helped you to your feet, "Lucy!"

"Hey!" She only smiled as she helped dust you off, "You alright? I was passing by and found you here. Are you sure you're not hurt?"

"I-I," You glanced back at the celestial spirit who took out the large creature with one blow to glance back at Lucy, "I'm okay, Lucy. Thank you!"

She smiled at you, "I'm glad to hear it!!"

You smiled back at her as Loke approached the both of you.

He smiled a ridiculously devilish smile, "Hi. Glad Lucy and I could help you out."

Smiling back, you nodded, "You guys saved me, Thanks!"

He smiled with a small nod of his own.

"I'm heading back to the guild." Lucy said to you, "Would you like to come with me?"

After a few minutes of conversation, you decided to accompany a little way before you separated from the group to go to the town who'd requested the job.

Lucy began to walk in front and Loke kept you company as you followed.

"Lucy," You called to her, "You should accept the reward money too!"

Lucy shook her head, "No! Loke!!"

The celestial spirit stepped forward to make eye contact with you, "That creature was no trouble at all. You'd already taken him down several notches."

You didn't know how to convince the two people to split the money with you, "But you guys deserve the reward they're giving me."

Lucy only picked up the pace.

"No way, no how!" She sang, walking in front of you.

"Come on, Lucy!!" You yelled after her even when a small smile began to make it's way into your face.

"Nope!!"

Loke only smiled from beside you, "Take it for us."

You blinked as his words slowly began to sink in, "What?"

"Take it," He repeated as he slowly turned to face you, "for us. We're all one big family after all."

It took a little while for the warm feeling in your chest to spread through you completely.

"Yeah..." You smiled over at him, "We're family after all."
