When the bomb went off, nobody was scared because it seemed like nothing had changed, and at the moment, nothing did. 

But when the air became too hot to breathe and the plants became too poisonous to touch, the people of this earth realized it was time to leave. 

Although there was a problem, there were no other planets that could sustain life even as well as the slowly deteriorating earth could. 

So instead of moving to a new planet, the inhabitants of the earth moved underground.

There, they would mourn their old homes forever but remember the sacrifices made during the war even longer. 

All of this, only because of a bomb that could have been prevented if one person made one realization.
