3. The Botching Of Kofi-Mania
Oh man. This is just sad, this entry and I'll be brief.
When Kofi won the WWE Title we went all caps UNGLUED, that after 11 years he finally gets taken seriously.
To me, he had a decent run: his match with Dolph Ziggler, but the Championship matches with Samoa Joe, Randy Orton, and lastly Bork Lobster was not the right idea.
Brock gave Kofi an F-5, and pinned him for the one two three, making Rey Mysterio show up with Cain Velasquez.
Remember Cain Velasquez vs Brock Lesnar?
After one week, Kofi was back with his New Day brethren and forgot how to be ambitious.
Everything that was Kofi Kingston was gone and he never went after the title again.
That's the kind of respect the WWE title used to have. It was the greatest prize in the history of the company and it's disrespected every time now.
For example, Steve Austin said to The Rock in a promo, "I need to beat you, Rock, more than anything you can imagine." That was the respect WWE gave to the title.
The title should be represented as a title a wrestler should be presented as, and to reinforce that point...
